Caluna walked down the streets, hoodie pulled up, earphones in and hands shoved into her pockets. The Grey by Icon For Hire was blaring from her IPod which was tucked into the pockets of her hoodie. Her hair hung loose over her shoulder and her blue eyes stared up at the sky which was shades of pink and orange as the sun slowly set. She heard a few people calling for her, even through the noise, but she didn't feel like answering them at the moment. No one was truly her friend, anyway. They were all just being friendly for their image. But she knew in reality, no one liked her. After all, she was 14 and she wasn't contracted to a Guardian yet. Most people made a contract with their Guardian when they reached puberty. Yet she had no Guardian.. However, as she looked around and saw all the Guardians following their contractees, Luna couldn't help but notice that most were simple cats or dogs. Just like the typical house pet. They would do no harm if they got into any real trouble. Only a couple had a huge wolf or big cat beside them. The rare person had a spirit animal or elemental animals beside them, but Luna had never met one. Maybe they were just myths. They were the strongest of Guardians and whoever had one was destined for something huge. It was said a person with a Spirit or Elemental Guardian were born to change the world; to alter it's current path and save it from destruction. However, the world was at peace, those Guardians were not needed.

Caluna ran a hand through her hair and groaned as darkness set in and she wandered through the almost empty streets. Her blue eyes flicked up towards a flash of grey light on the top floor of an abandoned, half built building. Her brows furrowed and she took her earphones out, turning off her Ipod and tucking it into her pocket before she looked around. Only a few people wandered the streets now. Looking back up, she ventured inside. "Hello?" she called into the desolate building., but no one answered back. Looking up the stairs, she wandered upwards, looking around, wondering what exactly she was looking for to begin with. She came to the second highest floor and paused. "Is anyone here?" she asked, thinking maybe she had imagined the light. I am here a voice echoed, bouncing off the half constructed walls. She froze, eyes darting back and forth, trying to locate where the voice came from but she saw nothing. "Where are you?" she called, eyes narrowing. the floor above the voice replied and Lune raced up the stairs like her life depended on it, her heart pounding. Slowing on the last step, she had to raise her hand to shield her eyes at th blinding grey light coming from the middle of the floor. "Who are you?" she asked, taking a hesitantly step forward. A figure soon appeared in the light, walking towards her and she stopped, a gasp escaping her lips as she eyed the massive white and black wolf with aqua eyes rimmed with gold. His tail wisped out behind him and Luna couldn't help but stare in shock. I am Sora he told her. "What are you?" A Spirit Guardian of the Darkness "What do you want with me?"" To make a contract Luna's eyes widened to their extent "Why me?" she breathed, watching the giant wolf approach her, coming even closer. Because you are the only one worthy. You are the only one capable of helping me in my quest "What quest?" To make the world peaceful once again.

Luna's brows furrowed, "but it is peaceful?" she said gently, cautiously.. The wolf grunted and looked around. But soon it won't be he said grimly and she watched him. She thought this Guardian was going crazy.. The world was fine. It was peaceful; safe. Nothing was wrong was it, so why did he want her to change it? She sighed, figuring she may as well, even if he was crazy.. Atleast she'd have a guardian. "Alright, what do I need to do?" she asked him, stepping towards him, seeing that his shoulder reached her waist. He was huge. The wolf stared up at her before his front legs dropped, his furry muzzle almost touching her shoes.Caluna Lee DeMille, will you take me, Sora Magnus, as your Guardian to protect you no matter what? In return will you help me with my quest to make this world peaceful once again? Are you willing to sign this contract and become my contractee? his aqua and gold eyes bored into her bright blue and she stumbled backwards, needing to breathe. She shook her head momentarily before she took a deep breath to calm her racing heart. "I will. I will become your contractee, and you shall become my Guardian," she said and she watched as Sora stood up and walked her, his nose tapping her chest just above her heart and a grey light flashed over the spot, almost blinding her, she had to look away quickly. A searing flash like fire spread over her chest and she groaned. When the light and heat faded, she looked down but saw nothing. Beneath your clothing he told her and she hooked a finger on the collar on her shirt and pried it forward, looking at the grey crescent moon symbol over her heart. "What is this?" she asked it's the symbol of our contract.. Everyone's is different she looked at the symbol a moment longer before she looked back at Sora.

Suddenly, a light shined outside the building and she looked past Sora, who turned around, his eyes widening. She watched as a orange and white light engulfed everything, the walls of the partially built building collapsing. The walls were crumbling. The wolf suddenly pushed her towards the stairs and she ran down all the stairs as fast as her legs could carry her before Sora pushed her onto his back and leapt down the stairs much quicker. They managed to make it outside just as the whole building crashed to the ground, a few other buildings collapsing as well. Sora pushed Luna to the ground and covered her with his body, but not before something caught her eye, a pain like never before exploding in her eye and skull and she screamed. Sora stared at her, trying to drag to safety despite her flailing around. However, soon darkness engulfed her but not before she heard the words Caluna, come back! Don't go yet!

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Anime_jail

Opening her eyes, Caluna sat up and stretched with a yawn. Scratching behind her neck, she looked pushed the curtains aside and looked out the window. She had actually been out cold for 4 years and only came to last year. Everything had been so surreal to her. She had lost all vision in her right eye.. On that fateful day when she made the contract with Sora and something had cause the pain in her eye, it was a Demon Guardian in the shape of a girl with wings who called herself Fonzi who had fallen from the sky and the end of her wing had gotten her eye. Luna now had made a contract with 2 Guardians, which wasn't supposed to be possible. But Luna had the symbol of the grey crescent moon over her heart and the symbol of a black heart with a crack down the middle like the classic broken heart just beside her right eye on her temple. She had no idea how the contract had been made, but Fonzi told her if a Guardian takes something from someone when they weren't in a contract - like an eye or heart - the contract was automatically formed to compensate. If a Guardian damages the heart, the Guardian's own power would keep the person alive, somehow forcing the heart to repair itself. It was something Luna didn't understand but she didn't really care. Fonzi said her eye would repair but for some reason it was taking a very long time.

Since the incident happened, a portal to the Demon World had opened and Demons flooded the Earth, killing many humans. As it might seem, Fonzi was actually a Guardian for a demon. A because of that, she made Luna's life a living hell. Fonzi couldn't believe she was contracted to a human and would constantly remind Luna of how weak she was. She was such a child sometimes it actually made it easier to handle at times, though. Caluna jumped right out of her skin when she heard, "Up yet, human?" she hadn't even heard her door open. Looking at the girl, she sighed and stood up, peeling her clothes from her body and pulling on some black ripped jeans and a dark red tank top. Pulling on her black and white converse, she looked at Fonzi and groaned. "Get lost, brat," she muttered as she started wrapping the bandage around her right eye. The Demon Guardian frowned before she turned and stomped off. Sighing, Luna tied the bandage securely around her head and she stood up and walked outside, grabbing an apple along the way. Biting into it, she moaned at the sweet, juicy taste just as the sun dully kissed her skin. Glancing at the dark sky, Luna frowned. Since that day, a blue sky had never been seen again. Clouds were always covering it and it rained about 4 days a week. When there was a rare clear sky, even then the colour was a dull grey with only the slightest tinges of blue - if you concentrated on it.

"Think it's going to rain?" she inquired as she heard large paws walking towards her. I say there is a high chance. I can smell it Sora said and she looked at him before reaching inside and grabbing a black hoodie and shrugging it on. "I hate the rain," Luna mumbled and she listened as the wolf chuckled. She cast a glare at him and then shrugged, "Where are we going today?" she said and she grew quiet, staring at her for a moment. The city he said quietly, but authority laced his tone. "Not the city, Sora. It's too dangerous.. The demons have made it their home and the humans that do live there hate outsiders. They'd kill us before we get 10 steps into the damned place," she whined and he gave a soft growl. No excuses, Caluna. We need to see how bad things have gotten there. Last time I went was when you were still unconscious he narrowed his eyes at her and she sighed. "Fine," she grumped and turned on her heels, taking another bite of her apple and walking in the direction of the city. "Fonzi! We're leaving!" she called loudly and soon the girl came to walk beside her, arms folded, hat pulled low over her eyes. "Don't run into a tree now," Luna said and she shoved the girl's shoulder. Fonzi squealed and spun on her heels, narrowly avoiding a tree before she glared at Luna. "You maniac!" she screeched and Luna struck her tongue out. "Proud of it," she chuckled.

After about an hour of walking, or well, arguing and bickering with Fonzi, Caluna eventually made it to the city. Sora followed closely from behind, staying quiet like usual. He was one to only talk for necessity. He rarely spoke to just speak. Luna would have to push him for a proper conversation most times, some moments she'd find it a blessing to have Fonzi around, as insane as that sounds. Most times she was a brat Luna would thankfully strangle, but without her, she would have no one to talk to. Her blue eye looked up at the tall buildings as she felt like turning around and running back home and the apple she had eaten earlier threatened to show itself once again. She knew how dangerous the city was. It was crawling with demons and their Demon Guardians. And the merciless humans who made it their mission to cut of the heads of the demons and any intruder who dared enter the city borders. After the incident, though most buildings had managed to stay intact, all electricity and gas had been cut off, never to return. Luna stopped at the boundary and stared into the city, her mind reeling. Should she go in? she knew she didn't want to, but she had to. She glanced at Fonzi, who merrily skipped into the city, not caring where she was. Looking back, Luna stumbled past the border as Sora nudged her, giving her a soft growl. I will protect you he said and Luna eyed with doubtfully but kept moving anyway. Her heart was racing and her head was pounding. She had the worst feeling - as if something terrible was going to happen. "Sora, we should leave," she said, panicking, taking in deep gulps of air. Nonsense, Caluna, we are staying he told her and nudged her with his shoulder. Luna stared at him, wide eyed before she gripped her fur, forcing herself to keep moving, using the Spirit Guardian as support.

(For a man from the city to come. A human and they called themselves the 'Demon Hunter Clan'. Obviously, he can't be all kind, nice and dandy, but not completely merciless, either.. He can attack her, or try to capture her or whatever you want. Maybe he tries to attack Fonzi cause she's a Demon Guardian? You're choice.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Desmon11

Desmond shivered as he hunched over the fire, arms outstretched in a feeble attempt to bring feeling back into his fingertips, long numb from the bitter cold of winter's arrival. His pale orbs cut to glance at his gloves, haphazardly laying at his side, and wondered why he even bothered wearing them since they failed to retain any heat whatsoever. "Damn mandatory outfits," he muttered under a sigh of agitation. He'd asked his instructor once why such uniform was necessary, and he'd answered it'd be easier to identify the outsiders, which was obvious, but it was easy enough to tell who wasn't from the city even without the outfit since they normally weren't strapped to the chin with weaponry. The stomping of boots brought the appearance of his comrade Hutch, face reddened presumably by the cold.

"Patrol time, Desmond," Hutch said, slipping off his boots and making his way over to the fire, "You'll only be on shift a couple hours. Instructor's got some recruits and he figures first-hand experience would be a good way to start."

"Must not see much in 'em if he's already willing to risk their lives," Desmond commented and swiped up his gloves to slide them on. His accomplice plopped down cross-legged beside him, only taking a brief glance toward Desmond before gazing into the flames, giving a shrug at his response.

"It's just his way. Besides, they knew the risks involved when they joined the clan. Our training just wasn't as straightforward."

Giving a soft nod, Desmond rose to his feet and made his way over to his pack to retrieve his pistol and sub-machine gun, placing them in their holsters and slinging his bag over his shoulder. "Anything I should look out for?" he asked Hutch, feeling around his leg to be sure he'd strapped his blade to his thigh.

"A few imps a bit north, but they won't be hard to kill at all."

Desmond's eyes caught on Besha, who was perched on her haunches, calm. She rose on slender, dark legs, and cast the gaze back, large ears flickering one direction to another. It'd been 10 years since they'd first met each other, before this demon catastrophe occurred, and for whatever reason, Besha had chosen to protect Desmond. He hadn't understood why, and still doesn't, he had such the blessing of having a Guardian who was so powerful. He didn't believe himself to be anything special; no skills or talents worth bragging about. She had said he carried good energy, and abandoned the topic at that, leaving his understanding of her reason thickly cloudy. They grew to be extremely close over the next few years, his family even accepting Besha as their own, and Besha had come to deeply care for not only Desmond, but his relatives as well.

Then the Demon Portal opened, spewing demons out by the thousands, and along with so came death by the tens of thousands. He could recall the panicked frenzy of people rushing to their homes among the screeches and howling laughter of demons, dodging arms and shoulders as he tried to hurry his way back home after school. He was relieved to find his family (which consisted of his mother and younger sister) alive, and took leadership of the house at the age of 15. He would collect firewood, hunt, & collect fresh water, given that the thought of forcing either one of them to go out and risk their lives was too much for him to bare. However, he hadn't realized that home, while being the safest place they could be, couldn't protect them forever. After a long day of empty-handed hunting, he had returned home to find he hadn't made it in time. Satanic symbols written in blood along the wall, the faces of his family frozen in terror with pentagrams carved into their chests.

There's 5 steps of grief; denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. However, it seemed Desmond skipped straight to anger, and has remained there since, thirsty for revenge.

In all of this, Besha's always had a hatred towards demons, but her source is natural; rooted in her blood.

"Ready to go, then?" Besha questioned, head tilted to the side slightly. With Desmond's nod, they set off to begin his patrol shift. He glanced both ways across the street then made off towards North, eyeing his surroundings restlessly, jaw clenched, while Besha remained serene yet alert, eyes sweeping over the battered buildings and ravaged road. Up ahead, Desmond could see 3 blurry, distant blobs of mass and could soon feel his face turn to stone. He bent into a crouch, drawing his pistol, and inched closer to his target, cautious to avoid any puddles leftover by the rain that may give his position. A click from the pistol voiced it was loaded, and he steadied his breath to ready himself for the kill, soon after masking his nose and mouth with his cowl. Satisfied with the distance left between them, he lifted his gun and fell into focus, but soon drew back when he found his targets turned out to be a woman, and two creatures, Guardians presumably. Two Guardians? That can't be right... With a new-found curiousity, he crept closer with his gun remaining pinned in their direction.

Crawling alongside Desmond was a nostril-flaring Besha, testing the air for any odd scents that triggered her attention. His gaze scanned them all suspiciously, but the smallest with pointed wings gripped his wariness the tightest. His Guardian took another moment to absorb the odors before confirming their distrust. In a low, nearly inaudible whisper, she murmured, "Demon."

And with that, he pulled the trigger.

Caluna's legs felt shaky and weak, like she was going to fall any minute now, but she kept herself upright and she took 3 deep, calming breaths. She wasn't usually so scared of places, but the city gave her a terrible feeling deep in her chest, like someone was trying to pull her lungs out, robbing her of breath. When the tightness finally eased a bit with her calm breathing, she let go of Sora's fur and he merely looked at her, his gorgeous eyes studying her for a moment before he looked away, ears flicking each and every way to listen for anything. Up ahead of them, Fonzi skipped merrily, singing to herself and Luna had the itch to pull the Demon Guardian to her and tell her to shut up and behave. However, the young woman resisted the urge and moved one foot in front of the other, determined not to pike out and run off. She glanced back and saw they had gotten closer than last time. After all, this wasn't the only time they had tried to enter the city, but they had been ambushed by a group of demons. They had managed to fight off a few of them, but they were forced to retreat Shaking her thought at the memory, Luna gripped her upper left arm with her right hand firmly. Her blue eyes darted around, watching for any Demons or anyone from the Demon Hunter Clan. But at the moment, she didn't notice anyone. "Why have we gotten so far this time?" she asked and Sora chuckled, We came from a different section that's not so crowded by demons he told her and she stared at him and sighed. She looked ahead at the Demon Guardian and her brows furrowed. She was too chirpy sometimes. "Fonzi, come back here!" Luna demanded and the girl turned to glare at her but stopped and waited for them, anyway before walking next to Luna. "Bossy today, aren't we, human?" Fonzi remarked with a sneer and the young woman grunted in response.

She watched Sora as he lifted his head higher, nostrils flaring as he scented something in the air. "What is it, Sora?" Luna asked him, placing a hand on his neck. I smell gun powder he told her and she stiffened, looking around but not seeing anything. "Where?" she asked with a hint of fear in her tone. Sora glanced at her but said nothing, in stead he kept sniffing the air and looking around. He paused a moment later And a powerful Guardian he said and Luna shook her head.. "Why? If it's not demons it's someone with a gun and a Guardian that wants to kill us! Can we not get a break in this place?" she grumbled and looked around, trying to see them. However, she couldn't spot them. A moment later, Sora growled Get down! just as the shot of a gun rang out. Luna grabbed Fonzi's arm and dragged the girl down with her, the bullet missing them by millimetres as they tumbled to the ground. Luna sighed and then jumped to her feet and looked at Sora's, who's ears were flat against his skull and his teeth bared menacingly. Fonzi's red eyes were wide with surprise before her expression changed to one of anger. "They were aiming at me!" she exclaimed, arms flailing in the air in an angry gesture. "Who cares, Fonzi? It means we're under attack!" Luna snapped and the Demon Guardian glanced at her. "Where are they, Sora?" Luna asked and ran after Sora as he took off in the direction of the gun. Fonzi followed, staying behind Luna.

Soon a man with a cowl covering most of his face, but his pale eyes caught her attention. Not for long, though, when she saw the gun in his hand. Luna stopped almost 10 metres away from them and she watched as Sora lunged at the man's guardian, a cloud of black mist forming at the Spirit Guardian's paws, rising higher over his legs. Only a Spirit Guardian of the Darkness could do that, Luna knew. He wondered what type of Guardian the man's was. But she didn't dare ask. She'd let Sora deal with her. She stared at the man for a moment before she asked, "why did you shoot at Fonzi? We are not here for trouble," her bright blue eye watched the man closely, though she wished she had the use of her right eye as well. Being half blind wasn't exactly an advantage in a fight. She looked at his gun as she felt Fonzi grip her arm. Though she was hiding behind her right now, Luna knew if she got into trouble, the Demon Guardian would step up and help her.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Post by Guest Sun Jan 19, 2014 12:34 am

[I'm glad. ^^ And sorry about not replying; school's kept me busy and sorta chased me away from posting more extensive replies.]

"Damn it," Desmond hissed out through clenched teeth as his bullet missed target, cocking his gun and catching the shell before it could hit the ground. His brows knitted closely together and he brought himself to stand, his gun still remaining steady in their direction. Whitish eyes skimming over the woman, he came to the conclusion she had been unarmed, though he considered the notion he may be incorrect and have a blade concealed in hiding. His gaze lingered on the female a bit longer, before his eyes snapped over to catch sight of her Guardian charging at Besha, only letting his concern occur for a moment, as he knew Besha was well capable of protecting herself. He gnawed at the inside of his bottom lip and turned back to the others, fixing them with a cold stare.

Besha only had time to take a half side shuffle before the Guardian rammed into her shoulder, summoning a surge of pain and ire as she snapped at him in hopes of making the feelings mutual. Her eyes that now beamed red light narrowed to slits as she glared at the Guardian, a low rumble vibrating in her throat, and she backed to protectively stand between Desmond and her attacker. Stare flickering towards his paws, she noted the black mist that shrouded them. Spirit Guardian of the Darkness, she realized, Interesting. Besha was a Spirit Guardian of Sorcery, herself, so this had been the first time facing a Guardian of such type. She snorted. What a first encounter.

As the woman and demon approached, Desmond tried to mask his bewilderment as best as his could, his only apparent reactions being the twitch of a brow and subtle tightened grip on his gun. Bravery or recklessness? He wondered, but was soon pulled from his thoughts by the questioning of the woman. No words rolled from his tongue as he considered his options, and, after a moment, he decided upon one. In a smooth motion, he aimed his gun at the demon & pulled the trigger. Nothing. Desmond, frustrated, heaved a sigh and jammed the pistol back in its holster, not finding any use in retrieving his sub-machine gun since the woman's other Guardian was quite powerful and a worthy opponent of Besha. “You came for trouble when you first stepped foot in this town,” he replied bluntly, though his tone held a hint of bitterness. He sent a glare towards the demon at the mention of her name. “I'm sure you're well aware why I shot at that thing." His gaze cut back to the woman, and his head tilted to the side only slightly. He cursed himself with stupidity for not before noticing the bandages wrapped around her right eye, and he wondered momentarily what caused her injury, though he didn't voice his question. "State your business."

[Just a little heads up, I’m probably gonna change the way Besha looks… sometime. -cue shifty eyes-]

Sora felt his chest slam into the other Guardian's shoulder and he listened as she growled at him, her eyes now red. She turned her head sharply as Sora started dancing backwards and her teeth grazed his neck, ripping out some of his fur. He growled, but knew he was lucky she hadn't managed to really get him. His tail lashed as the other Guardian moved to stand between him and her human. The Darkness swirled around his paws, moving quicker and in a more aggravated motion as he snarled at the other Guardian. To be honest, he wanted to see what would happen between Luna and the other human, not fight with this other Guardian. He glanced over at the young woman for a moment and at Fonzi who hid behind her. He growled at the Demon Guardian's cowardice before he focused on Besha again and he lunged, aiming to pin her on the ground. Fighting with a Spirit Guardian of Sorcery was not on his To Do List. If he could help it, he'd stop the fight. No Spirit Guardian was stronger than another Spirit Guardian, so if they really fought to take lives, they'd both die. His ears flicked in the direction of Luna, listening to what she said and did.

Caluna studied the man for a moment, his pale eyes sending shudders down her spine. She hadn't noticed the twitch of his brow or the tightening on his gun, so she had no clue what this man was thinking. He could very well shoot her or Fonzi at any given second nd she couldn't do a thing to stop him. After she had spoken to him, she awaited an answer, however, none came and instead, she watched as his finger tightened around the trigger of his gun and she flinched at the click. However, no bullet was fired. She sighed in relief and glanced at Fonzi who stepped ahead of her, ready to march right up to the man and throttle him to aiming the gun at her. The small Demon Guardian had one hell of an attitude. Luna reached over and grabbed the collar of her dress and yanked her back to her side, glaring down at her. "Stay here," the woman demanded and ignored the girl's venomous look. The man put the gun in his holster before he spoke and she looked back over at him, her brows knitting together slightly at his words.

However, Luna made no effort to reply to his comment, no matter how tempted she may be. However, when he spoke of Fonzi and the girl went to yell at him, she clamped a hand over the Demon Guardian's mouth and glared at the man. "She's a Demon Guardian. And she's not even a Guardian for a Demon! She's my Guardian!" the woman said in an almost growl. It was an impossible notion for anyone to have two Guardians, but he had to understand. Guardian's didn't hang around or listen to other very often unless they were contracted. And it had to obvious a Demon Guardian wouldn't hang around a human willingly. However, she was pulled from her thoughts at his next words and her blue gaze flashed over to Sora for a moment before she looked back at Desmond. "We are here only to see how bad the situation is here. See how many Demons there are.. We aren't here for trouble, honestly. We aren't looking for a fight," she said, an almost pleaded note to her voice
.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

[Hahah, alrighty. :>]

Besha’s stare remained steady on the Guardian, watching for any signs of another attack. She wasn’t looking forward to fighting the Guardian, since he hadn’t attempted to harm Desmond, but if he was aiming to assault her, she wouldn't hesitate in engaging in battle with him. Her attention flickered over to the wispy darkness twisting around his feet, and within that brief instant, she found herself pinned beneath the Guardian. Irritation fumed in her chest as she cursed herself for not being more attentive, the glowing of her eyes sinking to a deep blood-red. She kicked wildly at the Guardian's underbelly, angling her paws so her claws would be the first thing to hit him, snapping at his maw.

Desmond eyed the woman as she spoke of the Demon, and had informed him she was in fact her Guardian. He was hesitant on whether or not to believe such claim. Two Guardians was unheard of to him, and seemingly impossible, but he soon decided it mattered not. She was a demon, and in his mind, any variant of a demon deserved to die. He listened as the woman gave her explanation as to why she ventured in this hell hole. Involuntarily chewing the inside of his cheek, he assembled a plan. Eyes not wavering from the duo for a moment, he tilted his head to speak into his transceiver, mumbling, "Backup on Lake Avenue." He knew the only way to capture the three was to outnumber them, and he awaited the reinforcements to arrive, which shouldn't take long since he hadn't managed to get too far from base.

It took about a minute for his comrades to appear from the shadows, carrying weapons varying from crossbows to shotguns to pistols, all aimed at the intruders. "Follow, or they won't hesitate to blow your heads from your shoulders." And with that, he gave a motion to follow, striding off towards base.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Sora's eyes glittered with victory as he managed to pin the Guardian to the ground. He watched as her eyes darkened to a blood red before she flailed underneath him, kicking him. Her claws snatched at his sides and he hissed a growl at her. She snapped at his muzzle and he threw his head back, out of her reach and he simply stared down at her, ignoring the flowers of pain underneath as she kept kicking him. But the wounds were small and shallow, so he easily ignored it. I am not looking for a fight, he told her before he cast a quick glance at Luna and Fonzi and then at the man just a couple metres in front of him. His ears flicked back and forth before they tilted towards Desmond when he heard him mutter something into some device.

Luna watched the man, noticing that just below his temple twitched a few times, indicating that he was probably chewing on the inside of his cheek, or gum or something. Her eyes narrowed when he tilted his head and she wondered what he was thinking. Not even a minute later, people appeared from the shadows of alley ways and her eye widened and she heard Fonzi click her teeth together and mutter, "What a fantastic out come." Luna scowled at the Demon Guardian before she looked at the people surrounding them. "Sora, we have company, come over here, would you?" she whisper yelled towards her Guardian. She watched as the Guardian stepped off from the other guardian, lips peeled back in a snarl as he looked around at all the people. "Sora!" Luna growled, panic lacing through her voice. The Guardian looked back at her before he sighed and before he turned and walked back over to Luna, standing in front of her protectively.

Caluna looked at all the crossbows, shotguns and pistols all aimed in their direction. Her heart pounded in her chest and her blood roared in her ears, breathing quickening and suddenly feeling very cold as panic set in deep in her bones. Luna was positively not made for fights. She had no idea what to do in situations like this. Maybe if she had more experience in these scenarios, she wouldn't panic.. Wrapping her arms around her middle, she looked over at the man as he spoke, her eye wide. When they started following, she followed, legs shaking as she leaned against Sora for support. One hand gripped Fonzi's shoulder tightly, both to make sure the girl stayed with her and to know she was still alive. As much as she annoyed her, Luna had become fond of the child. She looked around at the men and women they now walked with and wondered how they were going to get out of this situation.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Besha's ears pinned to her skull in agitation as the Guardian kept her pinned, letting out a low grumble as she heard his words. Then get off, she thought, willing herself to calm down through the release of a tense snort. Her gaze flickered over to Desmond, slightly curious as to how the confrontation with the other human and her demon had been going. Her ears perked with interest as Desmond leaned his head into his transmitter. Bewilderment caused her eyes to narrow, as she knew Desmond was calling for backup, and the rarity of it had taken her aback. Normally, he’d be halfway through cutting their throats by now. Her gaze lingered on him a bit longer before it latched on the armed figures lined along the streets, giving a sidelong glance at the Guardian as his pressure lifted. Giving out a huff of air, she rose to her feet, and padded her way over to her human.

Desmond threw a glance over to Besha as she joined him, making their way back towards base. Besha's eyes lifted to meet his, full of question. "Captives? Pretty out of character for you, Desmond."

At her observation, his eyes shot forward and his brows knitted together subtly, debating on whether or not he should respond, but soon decided he'd better off give her an explanation now than later. "They outnumbered us." His words came out curt, precise.

"Not when you called in the reinforcements," Besha countered, gaze trailing off from Desmond and onto the road ahead. "They could've killed them."

It hadn't occurred to Desmond at the time it was an option, which he found unsettling, though he hadn't quite understood why, since he had normally been one to gun intruders down the unlucky instant they entered sight. His brows furrowed hard, restraining a shake of the head as shifted his attention to marching along the crumbling road.

As they made it back to base, Desmond's eyes scanned for the clan's leader, Reid, soon finding him cross-armed, speaking to the instructor, a handful of new faces shifting restlessly behind him. He hadn't hesitated striding up to Reid. "Sir, we've got captives."

[not sure if this gives you much to work with. x~x]

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Luna looked down at Sora, who was watching her intently, eyes narrowed, wanting to kill these men for making her panic so much. But she shook her head and ran a hand through his course looking yet surprisingly soft fur. He leaned against her and she gave a shaky smile as he whined quietly, wanting to comfort her. Even if he was usually a moody sour puss, Sora always meant well and he cared for her greatly. When her blue gaze flicked down to look at Fonzi, she saw her eyes were crossed, a sullen look on her face and Luna squeezed her shoulder momentarily, which caused the Demon Guardian to look up at her. "Every thing will be alright," Luna told her, though she had no clue if everything really was going to okay. They could get gunned down any moment from now. That thought frightened her more than anything. She wanted, more than anything to go back to her run down old cottage and stay there, away from everything. It was better that way. Safer. She wished she could run back there. But she knew that if she tried to run, she'd be killed. So the young woman kept walking to where ever all these other people were going. She lifted a hand from Sora's fur and brushed her hair from her face. Her hair kept wanting to curtain her face from the world, due to the wind. She glanced over at the man she had faced off with, watching him closely for a short while before she sighed heavily and looked forward, seeing a few fires just up ahead. She straightened and her eyes widened as they got closer when she saw the amount of people at the camp. As they made their way deeper, many people glared at her and upon seeing Fonzi, they drew their weapons. But Luna glared fiercely at them, shoving the girl behind her and holding her hand tightly. No way in hell was she letting them kill her.

They stopped near the middle of the camp and she turned in a slow circle despite the men standing near her telling her to stay still. She looked at the people around the camp, surprised by the sheer number of them. There weren't hundreds but there was way more than she expected. She had expected maybe 20 people. But there was definitely more than that. She looked down at Sora who was sitting on his haunches, ears swivelling in every direction as he listened to people. Many stared at him and the Darkness which was a thin layer at his paws. He still wasn't completely calm. She looked up as a man around 20 years old approached her. Her had black hair and brown eyes, freckles splotching his nose and cheeks. His brows were furrowed slightly and she had no clue what he wanted. "Legs apart, we're searching you for weapons," he demanded and she blinked as he stopped just in front of her. Sora snarled and he tensed, but Luna shoved a hand in the canine's face, shutting him up. "It's fine," she muttered and stepped to the side, legs shoulder width apart, cringing as the man searched her all over.

A minute or so later, he grabbed her arm and tugged her in some direction. She grabbed Fonzi's hand quickly and Sora followed, growling at anyone who tried to stop him. Even as a captive, the wolf wouldn't leave her alone. She followed the man, wincing at his grip on her arm, knowing it was going to bruise later on. They soon stopped and she looked around the man holding her arm and saw Desmond with some other man who's arms were folded over his chest. To their side was another man who looked slightly older. She tried to shake the man's hand off, but he wouldn't let go and Sora bared his teeth at him, but she just shook her head at him and he stopped. She didn't want him getting hurt trying to help her. The man holding her looked at the other men, his eyes slightly wide. "She's clean. She has absolutely no weapons on her. Not even a switchblade," he told them, his voice overly surprised and his face saying shocked all over. Obviously, it was the first time someone entered the city with no weapons what so ever. "It's completely ridiculous," he said, shaking his head. That's what I've always told her Sora grumbled under his breath. She gritted her teeth, frowning at Sora before she glared at the men, "Well I did say I wasn't here to fight!" she said, trying to shake the man's hold again but he wouldn't let go. She could feel her arm bruising already.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Post by Guest Mon Jan 27, 2014 12:53 pm

Reid studied the three intently, chin tipped up, head tilted to the side. It'd been quite some time since they last had prisoners, let alone brought in by Desmond. Giving a brief scratch to a scar lining his neck, he looked over to the instructor, Zechariah, who was standing attentive with an irritation-tensed jaw, brows furrowed. Moments before, they had been arguing over the danger of his new teaching methods, Zechariah defending his cause by insisting first-hand experience was the most effective and quickest way to learn, though Reid described it as idiotic and risky. "Zechariah, go on shift. Make sure none of the recruits die, you understand?" The instructor gave a terse nod and motioned for his trainees to follow as he strode on and into the streets, the newcomers' anxious movements not nearly as smooth as his. Reid looked after them for a moment before shaking his head and directing his gaze to the man holding the woman captive's arm, Dean. "Thank you. You're dismissed." Dean gave the woman a wary glance before uncurling his fingers from her arm, giving a slight nod of the head as he marched off back into camp. The clan leader's attention shifted back onto Desmond. "This way." He turned on his heels and began to walk his way through the camp.

Besha fell back to lead the prisoners from behind, and Desmond followed closely behind Reid. During his 4 years as a member of the Demon Hunter Clan, he'd only seen the holding cells once, and that was only because he'd been assigned to remove the bodies of uncooperative captives. He watched as the clan leader squatted to lift a trap door concealed not-so-elegantly in the ground, revealing a staircase dimly lit by a line of candles. He'd ascended the stairs many times, given it led to an underground area as large as a mini-city where the men and women of the clan lived, given it offered much more protection than living above ground, where they were vulnerable to demon attacks. However, this time, they'd taken a different route, leading down to a dungeon-like room made primarily of stone, save the cell bars. It was empty, and rank of disuse. He raised a brow in silent question as Reid turned and smiled in amusement at Desmond's face.

"Haven't used these in a while, eh?" Reid mused, gaze skimming his surroundings, soon finding their way back to the prisoners, causing all humor to flee from his face. "Lock 'em up or start questioning them. Make sure they're kept in separate cells. I'll catch back up with you later," he told Desmond, clasping him on the shoulder before leaving the room, nodding at Besha in greeting while doing so.

Heaving a deep exhale, Desmond turned to face the prisoners. As Besha came down the steps to stand at his side, he figured he should begin to question them, though he was unsure if he could pry any information from them. Question the woman first. "You, come with me," he said, eyes locked on the woman. "Besha, get the two Guardians into cells, please." Besha gave a nod, and Desmond started off towards a secluded part of the room, fitted with a couple of old chairs placed by one another. "Sit."

[I feel like Desmond is a bit of an emotional zombie.]

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Luna watched as the older man left, and a group of people followed him, their movements jerky. Probably newbies or something. She quickly looked back at the men standing near her, however, when the man with crossed arms told the one holding her that he was dismissed. She cast him a sideways glance as he loosened his grip only slightly as he gave her a wary glance before letting go completely and then striding off. She watched him for a moment but quickly turned back around when she heard the man - probably the leader or something - speak and he and Desmond strode off. She scrambled to catch up, figuring she had to go with them. Looking back, she saw Besha and her brows furrowed momentarily before she heard a noise. Looking ahead she saw some sort of trap door being opened. Blinking in mild surprise, she followed them down, looking around as she went, eye wide with awe. So they lived under ground? That seemed much more logical than living above ground with the demons lurking every where in the shadows. However, a dungeon like room soon came into view and she scrunched up her nose at the musky, rank odour of the place. It hadn't been used in a long time, that's for sure. She glanced at the leader as his gaze rested upon her and her Guardians and she watched as all amusement slid from his expression before he told Desmond to put them in separate cells. She narrowed her eye at him, pulling Fonzi closer to her upon instinct. Watching as he left, she gave a soft sigh of relief. That man just seemed so tense and it kind of intimidated her.

Blue eye switching over to Desmond as he heaved an exhale and then to Besha as he came up beside him, she wondered what they were going to do. Luna, however, didn't expect it when he told her come with him, eyes locking with hers before he told his Guardian to put her Guardians in cells. She squeezed Fonzi's hand momentarily and cast a wary glance at Sora, hoping he wouldn't do anything stupid whilst she was gone. When the man started walking, she quickly followed, though much less gracefully than him as she struggled to keep up with his quick pace. They soon came to a room with two seats and she took a deep breath to catch her breath before he told her to sit. Straightening herself, she did as she was told, walking over to a chair and sitting, her fingers toying with the hem of her shirt as she watched the man nervously, having no clue what he was going to ask her. she forced her hands to stay still and she bowed her head slightly to stare at her lap, thinking for a moment before she looked back up at Desmond. "So what do you want to know?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.

[ Don't sweat it. <: mine's pretty short. ^^' ]

Besha's gaze flickered between the two Guardians, considering which cells to stick them in. She eyed the demon with evident distaste, though she managed to stifle the urge to lunge at her, tail twitching. She noted the demon's small figure and tossed a brief glance back at the cells. Luckily enough, the bars were somewhat close together, so it was unlikely she could slip out, though not impossible. Even if she were to get out, Besha knew it wouldn't be long for the demon to get shot down by one of the loathe-full clan members, unless instructed otherwise. "Pick your cells, but make them at least a cell apart." Besha forced the sternest tone she could muster, not accustomed to dealing orders, and stopped herself from shifting uncomfortably before it became too evident.

Desmond watched as the woman obeyed his orders, pleased and rather taken aback she hadn't defied him, since that seemed to be a normal reaction of most captives. A brow arched in silent question. Perhaps she isn't here for trouble afterall. He shook his head slightly at himself. He was going to question her, regardless. He studied her for a moment, taking into notice the brief twitch of her hands, a sure sign of nervousness. Certainly not an aspect of someone who wants trouble. As the woman's gaze lifted from her lap and she spoke, he gripped the top rail of the empty chair and leaned himself on it, expression growing hard. "Well. What's your name? You told me why you came here, but what drove you to come and see the damage of this demon bullshit?"

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Sora watched Besha for a long moment as she looked between him and Fonzi, her tail twitching in obvious dislike towards the demon guardian. He was rather surprised she wasn't trying to tear her head off. After all, it took Sora a long while, almost a full 2 weeks before he wasn't attacking the small demon. The intense desire to kill all demons and demon guardians were engraved deep into Guardian's very being. However, when she spoke, trying to sound stern, he couldn't help but chuckle. Obviously, she wasn't used to giving orders. He watched Fonzi, who folded her arms across her chest, intent on not moving and Sora flicked her in the face with her tail. The girl practically growled at him before she stepped into a cell, the 5th closest to the door and Sora took the 3rd closest to the door, knowing that Luna would feel much safer as close to the outside world as possible. He knew she'd understood how much safer it was from the demons under ground, but she loved the outside world. Sitting down in the cell, he watched Besha before he said, I would resist, but she doesn't want me to he was referring to Luna. Huffing softly, his ears flicking as he watched the Guardian. You're a Spirit Guardian of Sorcery, am I correct? he asked her and glanced at Fonzi who was sitting in the corner of the cell, staring at her hands in boredom.

Luna watched the man as he leaned against the chair across from her, his expression quickly groing hard before he asked her who she was and what she was doing here. She stayed silent for a moment before she gave a soft sigh. "My name? It's Caluna Lee DeMille," she said, eyes slightly round. She was honestly scared, but she was trying not to show it. And without Sora, she had the sudden feeling that she was going to be ambushed by some sort of Demon. She knew it was a ridiculous notion, but since she had finally woken up, Sora had never been more than a few metres from her side. The sudden desire to check if her symbol signifying their contract was still there. She knew it was, she was just being paranoid, but she couldn't help it. "And Sora said we needed to come here to check the population of Demons here," she told him softly, taking a deep breath to calm herself down. "Trust me, I wanted nothing more than to go the opposite way to this place. I'm not made for fighting; it terrifies me. Feels like a suicide mission to come to this place," she told him before she ran a hand through her hair lightly, watching him.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Post by Guest Mon Feb 03, 2014 12:05 pm

[I'll start getting replies up sooner for you, I promise. ;u;]

Besha only allowed the faintest of smiles to take its affect on her maw, satisfied in seeing the duo follow her command, done with just mild reluctance. Her gaze quickly skimmed the room in hopes of locating a key, of which she soon found dangling from a rusty nail not too far from the room's entrance, hastening to enclose it between her teeth before locking the cells up and tugging on them several times to ensure they were indeed secured. Hooking the key back into its original position, she heaved a soft sigh, eyes flickering between the two guardians, and sat. Her eyes lingered wearily on the demon for a moment before they came back over to the other guardian, ears perking at his words, which she only regarded with a silent huff. At his second speaking, she eyed him with hesitance before giving a reply. "Yes. And you a Spirit Guardian of Darkness," she stated, not long after tilting her head to the side, "You're the first I've ever met."

Desmond observed the girl intently for any signs for any signs of falsehood as he’d been trained, mindful to listen for odd tones in her voice or anything odd in general about her response. He concluded she was being honest, though she had little reason to lie about her name in the first place. Caluna Lee DeMille. The name felt achingly familiar, but he couldn't quite pinpoint from where, leaving him frustrated with his mind nagging at him for not being able to figure it out. He examined Caluna for a moment before releasing a heavy breath, edging around the chair and sitting with a dry, humorless chuckle. "It is, more times than not. Place is a hellhole," he said, soon after adding a "literally" beneath his breath. He tilted his head to the side slightly, his lips touched by only the ghost of a smile. "I'm Desmond."

"Fucking idiot!" a voice roared from beyond the room, Desmond leaping from his seat to bolt over to the cell room to find Besha. "Lock Caluna up, I'll be back," he said in a rush before speeding up the steps. Besha looked after him with puzzlement for a moment and shook her head to try to rid herself of the feeling, walking over to the woman in which she assumed had to be Caluna and gesturing towards the empty cell closest to the entrance, saying, "C'mon."

Desmond hastily opened the door to find Reid, face contorted in intense anger as he stormed down the hall, a man struggling to keep up with his fast pace not too far behind. "What ha-" the words caught in his throat as Reid threw a glance full of fury at him from over shoulder, instinctively stilling his tongue. Before the man following the clan leader could rush by, Desmond caught him by the arm. "What happened?"

"Zechariah," the man replied in a jumble and fidgeted to continue his haste after Reid, though Desmond only gripped his arm tighter.

"Where is he?"

"Infirmary," he replied, slipping from Desmond's grasp before he sped off again to tail the clan leader. Desmond hadn't wasted a moment before he darted off towards the infirmary, where he found Zechariah holding a piece of cloth to his bloodied lip, a gash laced with stitches running along his forehead and down his temple. His eyes lifted to give Desmond an unreadable glance before he leaned over to spit a batch of blood into a nearby bucket. "Instructor?"

"It was a stupid fucking idea," he said gruffly, jaw tensed, "Goddamned demons ambushed us. There wasn't many, but the recruits just... stood there, all wide-eyed. I tried to fight 'em off but there's only so much I can do." He paused to lean over and spit again, brows knit tightly together. "They all died, save one. He's critically injured, don't even know if he's going to make it. Reid'll have my head soon enough." Unable to mask his annoyance, Desmond left the room.

He really is an idiot. His hands were clenched into fists so tightly his knuckles were white as he made his way back down to cell room, Besha eyeing him with curiosity. "Zechariah's recruits got killed," he explained, his tone heavy with evident irritation. She wasn't at all surprised.

"Imagine that," she breathed out and glanced over to Caluna. "Oh, there's a key by the entrance, by the way. I locked up both of the Guardians, but I didn't Caluna." Her stomach gave a silent growl in protest of not eating since last night, and thinking back on it, it seemed Desmond had skipped over breakfast this morning as well. "I'll go get us something to eat." She started up the stairs and had barely managed to skirt by Reid as he raged down into the cell room, pointing an anger-shaken finger at Desmond.

“You’re the new instructor,” he stated rather bluntly despite his unsettled attitude then stomped back up the stairs, leaving Desmond at loss for words. After a moment of stillness, he willed himself to shake off his astonishment, pale orbs flickering over Caluna and her two Guardians. Looking over to the Spirit Guardian of Darkness, he asked, “Sora, right?”

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Post by Tayssi Mon Feb 03, 2014 4:22 pm

Sora watched the guardian for a moment and he yawned, suddenly wishing he could just curl up and sleep. He heard her huff, but he dared not comment about it and when she finally, saying she had never seen a Spirit Guardian of Darkness before and he flicked his tail back and forth. We are not very common he told her, ear flicking lightly, There are a total of two Spirit Guardians of Darkness, myself excluded, he told her. There usually are quite a few more of a certain type of Guardian then that. It was a mystery why there were so few of his kind, even to him, but that was the way it is. What about your kind? he asked her, turning his blue and gold gaze to the Guardian after he had looked over at Fonzi for a moment. However, the young Demon Guardian was now asleep. Probably faking it, but that wasn't his problem.

Luna watched the man for a short moment as he studied her before she looked down at her lap, unsure of what she was supposed to do know. Her fingers fiddled with her shirt as she waited for him to say something. Anything. It was feeling rather suffocating just having him stare at her. She looked up at him when he gave a heavy sigh and she wondered what he was thinking as he sat down on the chair opposite her with a dry, humourless chuckle. Then he spoke and she relaxed slightly. When he introduced himself, she opened her mouth to say something, but the words 'Fucking idiot' rang through her ears before she could say anything. She blinked in surprise, looking at the door in question. Before she could even ask what was going on, Desmond had vanished from the room. She paused where she was sitting for a moment before she pushed herself to her feet, one hand gripping the back of the chair as she waited to see if someone was going to come back.

She stepped from the room as she saw Desmond rush past the room and she watched him for a moment before she looked at Besha as she approached her. When the Guardian spoke, she gave a slow nod and walked towards the cell before she saw Sora. She gave a small smile to the canine and looked past him at Fonzi who seemed to be asleep. She glanced at Besha in silent question before she walked over to Sora's cell, slowly putting a hand through the gaps in the bars. The Guardian stared at her for a moment before he stepped forward, pressing his muzzle into her hand. The girl smiled, running her hand through his fur before she straightened herself, not wanting to push her luck with the other Guardian by staying close to her for too long. She had stepped to the front of her chosen cell and Desmond appeared.

She watched him and Guardian, only understanding that recruits got killed. A chill ran through her and she stepped into her cell, leaning against the back wall as she silently watched them. Besha soon left and a moment later, Reid appeared, pointing at Desmond, his expression showing obvious rage. The man went on to say he was he new instructor before turning and leaving, leaving Desmond with an almost shocked expression. She blinked lightly as he turned to look at her then her Guardians before talking. She watched as Sora stepped up to the cell bars with a nod, That is correct, he told him, Ask your questions if you have any.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Post by Guest Thu Feb 06, 2014 5:24 pm

Besha watched the Guardian as he spoke, an easiness settling lightly over her nerves at his willingness to communicate. She'd known that Spirit Guardians of Darkness were uncommon, but not as much as so there were only a total of three, which would explain why she'd never encountered a Guardian of his kind yet. "Certainly more than three," she responded, narrowing her eyes slightly as she came up with a rough estimation of their numbers, "Around 20, if I recall correctly. Uncommon, but definitely not rare." The shouted curses of a man kicked her to her feet, Desmond rushing out of the room, then coming back in a few moments later. He gave a brief explanation of what happened, and Besha went off in search of a meal.

Desmond gave a curt nod at Sora's response, folding his arms over his chest as he mustered up a question to ask with his head inclined towards the ground. He lifted his gaze to peer at Sora. "What was your reason to visit here? Why were you so curious as to how bad it was here?" His questions held the faint tone of bitterness, though it was truly unintentional. Confusion or any feeling of uncertainty always soured his mood, and today it seemed he couldn't help but get more than enough of it. He rubbed the bone between his eyes with his index finger and thumb before throwing a glance over to Caluna. The bandage over her eye had captured his attention, and he found no use in putting off the question any longer. "What happened?" he asked, gesturing to her eye with the tip of his chin. Not the most subtle or sensitive way to ask, but his nerves were on edge, and he didn't have the patience to dally with beating around the bush.

The familiar clicking of boots caused Desmond's gaze to fly to the door, finding Hutch striding into the room with two plates in each hand, accompanied by Besha with a single dish in her jaws, halting once he'd made it a few feet away from Desmond. "Figured they should get to eating, too," he said with a shrug before he placed a meal in each one of their cages, handing the last to Desmond with a faint smile. He half-turned to face the prisoners and said, "Hope you like dried beef and potatoes." He aimed himself back at Desmond, gave a short nod of departing, but Desmond caught him by the elbow before he could leave.

"What's happening to Zechariah?"

An expression of confusion touched Hutch's face before it relaxed with realization. "Oh, uh... I think he's just getting demoted, is all. Heard you filled his spot." His lips curled into a small smile as he clasped him on the shoulder. "Congrats."

Desmond swallowed and forced a smile in return as Hutch marched from the room. He didn't know what his duties were now as the new instructor, and a large part of him hoped Reid had only appointed him to be such in the heat of the moment. Frustrated, Desmond jammed a chunk of dried beef into his mouth.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Sora watched Besha as she left before he looked back at Desmond when he asked what he had been doing in the city and why. The canine sighed and sat down, curling his tail around his front paws. I want to keep an eye on how many Demons there are. I do not want the numbers spiraling out of control. However, I did not realize how many there were of you guys, then he fell quiet. His ears flicked as he turned his attention to Luna when the man looked over to her. His lips pulled up slightly when he asked what happened to her eye, but one look from her shut him up instantly. He whined silently and laid down, turning his attention back to Desmond, watching him.

Luna watched Desmond and Sora as they spoke and she noted the tone of bitterness in his voice, but she couldn't tell if it was intentional or not. She'd give him the benefit of the doubt and say it wasn't. But what Sora said was completely true. Not that she had any idea what he planed to do if there had been too many Demons. He was strong, but how many Demons could he defeat before they overpowered him? She had no idea and to be frank, the thought frightened her. She didn't want to lose him. Desmond soon turned his attention on to her and she glanced at him. At his question she heard Sora growl softly and she glared at him. The Guardian was silenced and he laid down, "it's not like it's any sort of secret, Sora," she said as she turned her gaze back on to the man. "Fonzi," she told him, "The day the Demons came here, she fell along with them and her wing, or something, came into contact with my eye and damaged it. Which is also the reason why she's now my other Guardian. Or so we think." she told Desmond and pushed off from the wall as Besha and some man came into the room, glad to be off topic. It wasn't the fact that she was telling what had happened to her or how they suspected Fonzi became her second Guardian, but whenever she spoke of it, she remembered that day. It wasn't something she liked remembering. The fear and adrenaline that rushed through her veins for the short few minutes the building collapsed just before Fonzi catapulted into her and she lost consciousness.

Luna watched as the plates were placed into their cells and she stayed where she was, not hungry at all. Sora slowly ate his, keeping a watchful eye on the three. She also noticed Fonzi was conveniently awake and scurried to the plate and wolfed hers down without a second thought. Luna looked at Desmond, Besha and Hutch and subconsciously noticed her cell door was still open. Not that she had any plan to escape. Hutch spoke to them momentarily but she didn't reply, unsure of this new man. She listened to their conversation, staying at the back of the cell, not wanting to risk them getting upset with her if she got too close to the open door. The man soon left, leaving only Besha and Desmond once more. However, Desmond looked rather frustrated as he tore a piece from the dried beef. "Instructor.. For what?" Luna asked quietly, slowly, afraid he might react badly to her question. She didn't want to upset him, but she was curious.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Desmond eyed the Guardian as he spoke, subconsciously evaluating his tone to detect any lie or any sign of falsehood, and, drawing a blank, decided to believe him. At his mention of underestimating their numbers, he found himself fighting off a smile, and quickly shoved another handful of jerky into his mouth. Besha took a hearty bite of her meal, sitting on her haunches while her ears swiveled around with alertness, though she herself was relatively calm and relaxed.

Her ears perked at the bluntness of Desmond's question, her gaze cutting over to give him a questioning glance before Sora began to growl. Springing to her feet, she felt her muscles tense and her body shift into a protective position, only to soften once the rumbling had silenced. Her wary gaze lingered on him for a moment before it fell back onto her food, and she once more dipped her head to eat.

Desmond gave the Guardian an indifferent glance, his attention then shifting to Caluna as she told him what had caused such an injury. His lips pursed into a tight line, jaw clenched, and an irritated sigh seeped through his teeth as his brows furrowed tightly. "Should've guessed," he spat, earning himself another glance from Besha. "Demons are only good for fucking things up, stealing things away." His eyes narrowed in on Fonzi. "They're even more selfish than humans are, and hell, wouldn't surprise me if they brag about it. Why you haven't killed that little fu-" A nip at his white-knuckled fist from Besha made the words hitch in his throat, and he started at the ground for a moment with agitation before heaving a sigh, unclenching his hand to run it through his hair.

Popping another strip of meat into his mouth, he made his way over to the entrance to retrieve the key, then doing so, strode his way back over to Caluna's cell, eyes still aimed toward the ground. The cell door creaked in protest of years without use as it was shut, Desmond quickly jamming in the key to lock it. He began to stride away back towards the entrance, but he halted mid-stride at her question, freezing for a moment before shaking his head, giving a humorless chuckle. Half-turning to look at her, he said, "Training." Another dry laugh escaped his throat. "At least that's what I'm assuming. God knows what Reid'll put me up to when he's like this." Shifting back to the entrance, he continued, hanging the key back in its place before leaning against the wall, and shoveling a spoonful or two potatoes into his mouth. "Hell, he might even throw you guys into training." He laughed again, though this time with a tinge of humor.

[geezo, this took longer than expected.]

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Caluna watched Desmond silently as he spoke about Fonzi. Well, demons in general, really. But when he started to get wound up, about to ask why she hadn't killed the Demon Guardian yet, she tensed, glancing over at Fonzi. When Besha nipped the man's hand, Fonzi sneered at him and then stuck her tongue out in a very childish manner. Luna ran a hand over her face with a light groan before she turned her attention back to the man when he heaved a sigh and then ran a hand through his hair. She watched in silence as he grabbed the key and then shut and lock the door to her cell, the door whining in protest at the movement. She could hear Sora growling softly in protest at th thought of her being locked up, but she ignored the Guardian and stayed against the wall. He started to walk off but had paused at her question before he answered her. To which Luna just shrugged. She highly doubted they'd get them to train with them. After all, they weren't part of their group, what use would they have to train them?

~~Couple days later~~

Caluna sat at the edge of the group, her dark red hair tied back into a high pony tail, fringe falling over her face before she pushed it to the side and her blue eyes watching the people as they mingled, laughing and talking amongst each other. Luna was away from everyone, only Sora laid next to her, ears forward and alert and eyes looking every where. She knew that he was worried about her and not just because of where they were. But she had barely had two mouthfuls of food in the couple days they had been here. He had tried to get her to eat, but she just had no appetite since she stepped foot into the city. The tightness in her chest wouldn't ease and the longer she stayed in the city, the more nauseous she felt.

For some reason, the group had forced them to join their training, saying something along the lines of having another Spirit Guardian could help turn the tides. She hadn't been thrilled about the idea, but it was better than staying in the cell. However, Fonzi had been kept locked in the cell, everyone agreeing they didn't want a Demon guardian with them, even if she was contracted to Luna. Looking down at Sora, she ran a hand through his soft fur and he leaned into her touch before she looked around the camp. Other than during the actual training, she hadn't seen Desmond very much. She had no clue where he was. Not that it mattered to her. She was just curious. What's wrong? Sora asked her and she looked back down at him and shook her head. "Nothing," she replied lightly, "it's nothing at all.." to which the Guardian simply huffed before he rested his head on his paws, tail swishing to the side to rest against Luna's back.

Suddenly, she heard a loud crash and then yelling and she quickly looked the way the noise had come from. And between gaps in the growing crowd, she saw blonde hair and wings. "Ah crap," Luna groaned and leapt to her feet, rushing towards Fonzi. How the heck had she gotten out of her cell? She slowly pushed her way through the crowd, it taking way too long for her liking before she reached the front of the group. There, she saw Fonzi with a feral smile and a deadly gleam in her eyes, her right hand dripping with blood. At her feet was a young man, face twisted in an expression a mix of agony and a promise for revenge. His face was bloodied, nose crooked and obviously broken and if she could see properly, one of his front teeth was broken. Clinging to Fonzi's ankle was a grey fox that must have been his Guardian. But Fonzi just kicked it off and it yelped before it skidded along the floor. "Fonzi!" Caluna growled at the Demon Guardian and the girl let her guard down for a moment as she looked over at her. And that was enough time for the young man on the ground to tackle her to the ground and crash his fist into her face. There was a spray of blood and Fonzi's lip split open in three places and the man's knuckles cut open as it came into contact with one of the girl's sharp teeth. He cried out in surprise and Fonzi tucked up a leg and then quickly kicked him in the chin and he fell backwards with a yelp. Fonzi was about to go at him again, but Luna rushed at her as she sprang to her feet and she grasped her arm tightly, removing to let go. "Stop it," Luna ground out in a demand and the girl glared at her, trying to shake her off, but she refused to let go, even going so far as to rake her sharp nails - well, more like claws - along Luna's cheek. She could feel the warmth of blood trailing down her cheek and neck, soaking into the collar of her shirt. She was pretty sure if she had had anything in her stomach, it would probably be empty by now. Especially seeing as the sight of that blood along with Fonzi's ferallness made her feel even more nauseous than she had already felt.

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Post by Guest Sat Oct 18, 2014 12:19 pm

Desmond's chest rose and fell with the release of a quiet sigh, watching close-mouthed as the leaders of the clan butted heads about what to do with Zechariah, the arguing seeming like a broken record playing over, and over again. And it nearly has been, for the last couple days. Desmond, along with the other lead figures of the clan, were called in for a meeting to discuss the subject, and they hadn't come any closer to a verdict than the day they'd began. It was all mindless shrieking at one another, not even giving one another a chance to lay down their viewpoints. Personally, Desmond wasn't quite sure what should happen to Zechariah. Demotion seemed like the most reasonable notion, but another part of him urged that he'd needed more punishment. Death seemed too far, so maybe sticking the ex-instructor with some less than enjoyable chores would be viable. Desmond shook his head. Chores in exchange for lives? Then again, Zechariah had honestly no intention of getting his students killed; he had no idea a demon ambush was going to occur, and the kids would be unable to defend themselves. Propping his elbow onto the u-shaped table, he ran a hand through his hair and shut his eyes only for a moment -- it only took a moment for chaos to break out.

His eyes sprang back open and he was on his feet in an instant, him and Besha being the first to rush out of the room and dart off towards where a mass of people were huddled, figuring that's where the commotion had taken place. Slipping his pistol from his holster, his brows furrowed, and with each step he could more easily distinguish the onlookers' words. "...let her do that to you? Get her!" From over the shoulders of the crowd he could barely catch a glimpse of pointed wings, and that's all it took for him to push himself to sprint even faster, shoving his way through the wave of people to get to the action. It hadn't taken him long to see the female Demon Guardian dripping with blood that belonged to the man crumpled on the ground. Fuck. As the crowd had spotted Desmond, their encouragements only increased, both in volume and vulgarity. “Kill that bitch! Shoot her!” His teeth gritted together roughly as he slid his gun back into its holster, only to slide another gun-like device from another, lifting his eyes at the exact moment the demon’s claws scraped across Caluna’s cheek. She’s like a damn animal. A fresh wave of an emotional he couldn't quite pinpoint surged within his chest, and from the corner of his eye, he could see Besha lunge forward. Extending his leg so it stood in her path, she halted, Desmond lowering his gaze toward her to shake his head, earning a reluctant glance from Besha before she took a step back, tense. His eyes cut back to the demon, and his raised his gun. Steadily, he closed an eye, aimed, and not long after, fired. A steel chain net sprang out from the gun’s opening and enveloped the Demon Guardian.

The onlookers’ noises only grew and became harsher, and before he could help himself, he allowed his anger to get the best of him. “Enough!” he demanded, and a sudden hush blanketed the now still crowd. He exhaled, putting the gun back into the holster. “Ten laps around the camp,” he ordered, then, seeing as no one had moved so much as an inch, commanded, “Go.” He watched as the crowd turned of their heels and started off at a jog, jaw tense while an irritated breath snaked its way through his teeth. His pale eyes made a hasty return back to the injured man, whose name he’d barely recalled had been Trevor, then to Caluna, and back to Trevor. “Trevor, Caluna, you stay.” He inclined his head to look at Besha. “Go get a medic.” Giving a brief dip to her head, Besha trailed off to do just as so.

Eyes closed, Desmond pinched the bridge of his nose with his forefinger and thumb in an attempt to alleviate his stress before his hand flopped back down to his side, and his gaze settled on Caluna. "What're we gonna do about your little friend here?" His hand flung in a motion towards Fonzi, and he looked back and forth between Caluna and Trevor. "And how did this happen?"

The Incident(R/M) {Junky} Empty Re: The Incident(R/M) {Junky}

Caluna noticed that the crowd around them suddenly became louder, more aggressive and she looked around for the cause. It didn't take long to see Desmond and Besha. Deciding to ignore them for now, she gripped Fonzi's arm tighter, trying to pull her away, but she refused to budge. Her sharp teeth were red with her own blood, bared menacingly at the man who was now on his feet, even if he was swaying. When the girl glanced at Luna in irritation, she noticed her red eyes glowing with the intent to kill. She liked the bloodshed and she wanted more. She wanted to kill him. Dammit Luna thought to herself. She had to get her away. If she really did snap, losing all control of herself, she knew she was quite capable of turning on her and would easily kill her. She stared, wide eyed at the Demon Guardian, watching as she brought her knuckles to her mouth, tongue flicking out and tasting the blood on them. The man's blood. Luna shuddered at the sight and she could see people all around did, too. If this is what she was like when contracted to a human, she'd hate to see her if she had been contracted to a Demon.

Suddenly, a net enveloped Fonzi and Luna quickly yanked her hand away. It was made of steel and it was heavy. The Demon Guardian was forced to her knees from the sudden weight and she literally snarled at Desmond and then sending a murderous glance at Trevor, the promise for more blood in that one look. Taking a few steps back, she loosed a breath she didn't realize she had been holding and then looked at Desmond. Once the crowd at parted, Sora quickly made his way to her side and sat down, nudging her hand lightly. Luna looked down at him with a shaky smile before running a hand through his fur and then returning her attention back to Desmond. The man looked between the two of them before his gaze settled on her, asking what they were going to do with Fonzi. Luna glanced at the girl, wondering that herself. It seemed this environment was a bit too much for her.. Or maybe that was just because she had been locked in her cell the whole time.

Desmond soon asked how this happened and she looked to the ground. "I, um.. I don't know," she said honestly, "I thought she was still in the cell," she said, which earned a hiss from Fonzi, "I don't even know how she got out.. I only realized she was out after the fight had started," she told him, looking up at him. Behind her, Fonzi growled savagely, "It was him!" the Demon Guardian snarled, pointing a finger in Trevor's direction, "I was trying to find Luna, when he just suddenly hit me, saying I was a 'useless, spineless piece of shit' who shouldn't be on this earth!" the girl's breathing was shallow and she soon coughed violently after her own blood went down her throat. Luna looked at Fonzi in surprise before she looked over at Trevor, wondering if that was true. Trevor, however, said nothing and just glared at the Demon guardian with hatred in his eyes. Luna looked up at Desmond, wondering what he would say. Absentmindedly, she reached up and touched the wound on her cheek Fonzi had inflicted on her and hissed in pain quietly, pulling her hand away.. Seemed it wasn't shallow, but she doubted it would be deep enough for stitches.. But she could be wrong.
