The Fear of Life Empty The Fear of Life

Post by Aaloka Ahilya Sat Jan 29, 2011 11:58 am

The sound of the thundering waves and the relating sound of moving water was no comfort to her ears. The constant boom of deadly thunder and the horrifying flash of lighting did not being delight to her as it would any other horse on Tikal Beach. Instead it scared her to the point of tears every single night. She saw terrifying figures of demonic horses battlin each other to the death from the mere protection of the bordering trees. You would think that growing up on the sand her entire four years of existence would have brought her to become acostumed to it all, but that was an epic fail. Each night brought her more fear. She had to get out, had to get away.

Gina stood on the shore of Tikal Beach one morning after another horrible, sleepless night. She shook her thick skull back and forth as she tried to focus her tired eyes on the horizon where the sky met the water and promised light. Sighing, she let her legs buckle and she crumpled to the ground. Then she began to sleep, allowing the needed slumber to take over her drained body. While she dozed, the sun came up and showered it's golem rays upon her wheat colored coat. It highlighted her black mane, tail, and thin dorsal stripe she favored. Her black legs were sprawled out comfortably and matched her black muzzle that she had angled to keep the pestering sand out of her nostrils.
Upon waking up, she struggled to her peach hooves and shook out the white grains that clung to her coat. She began to walk the length of the beach, her feminine muscles twitching under her coat. Gina was dumped on the beach by her mother at a month old and hadnt seen her since. She feared the scary beach, but feared leaving it alone even more.
Gina stopped at the North end and entered the water slowly, taking careful steps to avoid falling. It cooled her down as she began to trot back with alert ears and sharp, blue eyes. "Who will save me?" she cried to herself as tears flooded her young eyes.
