Jewel's Quest (M-R/Female Cheetah,anyone's welcome!)

Jewel
It was a cold night,Jewel rustled in the trees as she finally fell asleep for the first time in what seemed decades. The sun slowly raised as her eyes adjusted. It's dawn,the sky a bright pink with mix of darkness,the African trees waving in the wind. She stretched out,her pelt pure white besides those black spots that made her stand out. She knew she was unique in many ways. She was small and thin,therefore fast and deadly,including hard to catch. She had great knowledge,a quick thinker to. It would take a lot to trick her at the most. On top of that,she was in heat and very protective. She leaped off the tree,landing gracefully on the ground as her stomach ached for a good meal.

Rapide~
Rapide curved ears pricked as he heard the steady beat of a gazelle's hooves patting over ground. His lithe body slunk low to the ground as he stalked forward, all the pressure on his toes. His breath came out in silent huffs, and his tail lifted just above the ground, curled just at the tip. His amber eyes darted as he spotted movement, and saw a lone gazelle wandering away from the herd. Its herdmates called after they're member, but the gazelle wandered into the trees. Rapide smirked to himself and crawled after the gazelle, his long legs stretching and his muscles tensed as they prepared to dart and grab the sprinting animal.

Jewel pricked her ears to the cries of the helpless animal being caught,the herds hoofs beating along the dry ground. She stalked over toward the noise,hidden in the dry grass but easily seen by her own kind. Her heat scent was strong,but she didn't care. Her stomach was more hungry for the gazelle then the need to cover a scent.

Rapide caught a whiff of the heat scent and turned his head to see a female white cheetah not far away. He snorted a little and returned back to his prey. Immediately, he began to run. His muscles snapped and retracted, and his naturally unsheathed claws outstretched for the gazelle. It was too late for the gazelle to run away, and Rapide dug his claws into its sides. He didn't even care - or wait - for the animal to be dead. All he did was dig his claws into the gazelle and tear into it. The animal bleated painfully as it was eaten alive, which were drowned out by Rapide's hungry ad greedy smacks.

Jewel stalked them,padding her way closer as she went denser into the grass,watching them. She saw the flesh,starving as she drew her lips back so she could smell the unresistable blood scent. "Mm.." She purred.

The heat scent grew stronger, and Rapide saw the white cheetah approach him. He flicked his tail once and said, "Is there something you need?"

Jewel hissed,walking closer. She was small,but strong. Her tail wagged in anger as she drew closer and closer to the dead gazelle.

Rapide snarled at her, grabbing the gazelle's neck and beginning to drag it away to the nearest tree. "Stay away from me," he spat through the gazelle's bloody skin.

She growled,watching him drag the fresh kill away. She took her chance,quickly zipping up and breaking off its meaty hind leg,tearing it as she bolted off with it,not to far though as she eated it.

Rapide snorted as the cheetah stole a leg, but he only shrugged before finish off the leftovers and trotting off. He decided to leave this place and travel somewhere else... a different place, perhaps.

She easily finished the leg,her heat scent spread as her tail was wagging from anger. She laid down,relaxing after eating. "Finally,a meal." She purred.

The heat scent drifted through the air, and Rapide paused. He narrowed his eyes and stared at the female. She was small, but looked strong. He decided to take a chance. Rapide approached her carefully. "Want someone to take care of that?" he asked, smirking, referring to her heat scent.

She had leapt to her paws,her albino coloring glistened in the light. She listened,her tail wagging in annoyance as she drew her lips back. She showed her fangs,her heat scent got stronger. "No,I'm good."

She didn't like this male,flashing her fangs at him. Even though he was taller then her,and stronger,she never backed down to a fight. She hissed,her eyes glaring. "I'm sure." She hissed.

Rapide snorted and shrugged. He gave up on her, but knew she'd come around soon. "Suit yourself," he responded, then turned his back and trotted off, tail curled and head high.

She was amazed,watching him walk off. She relaxed her body,her tail relaxed as the scent was let out stronger. She shrugged and closed her eyes,head lifted as she smelt the fresh grass,herds,and other things. The most important thing to her was a lion's scent. She couldn't endour such a fight,luckily no scent if that was around.

Rapide began to walk off, but noticed a lion in the distance. The large, tough creatures were ruthless and heartless, and would kill without a care or thought. "You'd better get out of here," he called to the female cheetah warily.

She looked,the lion could easily spot her. She lowered herself to the ground,creeping toward a tree. She heard the cheetah and growled,leaping into the tree where the lion couldn't reach her.
