Desert Flurry Wants A Mate

He prances into the pasture, head held high. "Hey, ladies!" he calls, welcoming mares to the medow.

"Wintersky wals in and looks around, "Hello handsome!" She calls

"I want to fight for and lead a herd, but first I need a lead mare." Flurry looks her in the eye. "You up for the challenge? I need a smart, loyal, strong, brave, and kindhearted mare."

I toss my head and look at you warmly "Then I'm your mare"

"Can you fight?" Flurry snorts. "If I fall in battle, could you pull the herd together?"

"I... i think so" then stronger "Yes, yes i could"

"Great. You sound like my kind of girl." He lets out a snort.

I nuzzle you

"Easy, there, Tiger." Flurry snorts affectionatly. "We need to go find a herd."

"Where to Big Boy?" I ask

"Where do you think we should go first???" he asks. "Know anybody in any other herds yet? 'Cause I sure don't."

"My friend MoonBeam and her mate are starting a herd in Rainbow meadow, rose garden looks nice, though," I ponder the thought

"Who are you?" I ask politely

''my name is Jewel'' *isay blushing.

"Well hello, Jewl" I say "Of course you may, but you have to ask Desert Flurry first" I say, gesturing towards my mate

"Of course, Jewel." Flurry says. "Oops, where are my manners? I'm Desert Flurry, but you can call me Flurry. Wintersky and I haven't found a place to call home yet, but we're trying."

"What about Twilight's lasting moon?" I ask him "You could challenge the leader and win it over..." I say, thinking

"Can't hurt to try..." Flurry ponders it. "Ok, I'll go over and try. Wanna come?"

"Sure"

yup. Desert Flurry challeges the leader.

Wintersky walks back to the garden, feeling discouraged and waits for Flurry to come back so they can plan where to try next.
