Young and Curious

Ranger~

I trotted along a narrow worn down deer path. There was a fresh scent of horse, and I knew this land was taken. I gave a soft sigh and looked around. I was alone and wanted to learn out to be a horse. Right now, I lived off of instincts. My small white mane flopped back and forth as I picked up the pace. The scent of horse grew stronger, and soon I saw a small band of mares. I gave a sharp whinny, but to my dismay a large stallion was with them. I fled. Just there. I spun and ran for my life. I had had enough experience with the stallions. But there was something about these mares, that had caught my attention. Something told me to stay and watch.

After it started to darken, and the sun was going down, I slowly trotted closer to the band. They had moved, but not very far. I stayed hidden and took in the scents. It drove me crazy, but I fought to stay put. Once again I saw the handsome stallion, and I watched. I was confused with what he did, but it gave me feelings. My ears pushed back against my head and I moved away. I don't know what it was, but there was something I was supposed to do. To get my mind off things, I trotted away. This time, for good.

My tail flicked back and forth and I let myself relax. All of myself. The cool air felt good. I stopped in a nearby meadow and looked around. It was small, but would be enough for me to graze down for a few days. I gave a wide yawn and glanced around.

Dreamer~
i see the young stallion and whinnie, trying to get his atention

Ranger~

My head flew up in suprise. My eyes widened as I spotted the other horse. My ears flattened for a moment and then I snorted. This wasn't a stallion. My ears pricked foward as I gave a soft nicker.

i run around in circles around him

Ranger~

My lips pulled up in a smile. Not only was it a mare, but a filly. She looked to be my age, too. I smiled. "Hello." I tried to watch her, but I got dizzy.

I stop and chuckle "hello" i say excitedly

Ranger~

I smiled brightly. "My name is Ranger." I glanced around for a moment. "Where's your herd?" My nostrils flared, looking for the scent of a stallion, but it was all stale.

"oh me? i dont have a herd, ive been all alone ever since my mom died" i frown

Ranger~

I tilted my head. "Well so have I." I gave a soft smile before looking around again. I looked to the filly and smiled. "I don't think I caught your name?"

"oh, im dreamer, wats ur name?" i ask curiously

Ranger~

I smile. "I already told you. It's Ranger." I chuckled.

"oh sorry, i just got lost in your eyes" i say and then skake my head vigorously "o my gosh did i say that out loud?"

Ranger~

I grinned and started to walk around her. "Yeah. But I kinda liked it." I cooed softly, nipped at her sides.

"ummm what are you doing?" i say, keeping my rump away from him

Ranger~

I flicked my fluffy tail back and forth and stopped beside her. "I don't know."

"well neither do i" i felt the urge to oush my rump towards him now

Ranger~

I shook my head, letting my floppy mane...well flop. I smirked and nipped at her flank.

i swung my rump towrds him

Ranger~

I looked thoughtful for a moment and then remembered the stallion and his mares. I flicked my ears back and reared. My front hooves landed softly on her back and I made a pushing movement, though my tool wasn't there and I had no idea what I was doing.

i keep backing into him

Ranger~

I made a confused face and stood overtop of her. I felt her tail against me and shivered. Suddenly I had an idea. I let my tool hang and tried again, though still not getting the idea.

i spread my legs out evenly under his weight, not knowing wat i was doing

Ranger~

I give an annoyed snort and jump away. My ears flattened against my fluffy mane and I stared, annoyed. My tool still hung and I didn't bother to suck it back up.


[Yay! ]

I give an akward look, not knowing what just happened

Ranger~

I keep staring at her, wondering what went wrong. "Something tells me I really want to do this. But I don't know how." I flattened my ears and thought back to the stallion and his mares. "I think it's right."
