The body of the large quarterback slid into Sage's path. She glanced upwards warrily, her dark eyes connecting with his, in a locking stare as she slammed her locker behind her. "Hello there darling," He cooed, raising a hand and letting it travel down to her jawline, stroking her cheek with his thumb. She recoiled in anger, pulling away from him roughly and stepping away, bumping into another football player, much larger and stronger than she. She glanced up at him warily, not speaking. The original guy smiled, as the bell rang and everyone was inside thier classes, busy at work. They seemed to be the only ones in the hall, and the guy pushed her against her closed locker, hands on her waist and inching upwards. Eyes narrowing, Sage pushed him away, but he caught her wrist in his, pressing her once again against the cold metal. Her wings were pushed harshly against her back, and she grimaced in pain. He pressed his lips harshly against hers, and she squirmed, pushing him away with force. "You dont talk much, do you?" He asked, his eyes sparkling with mischeif. With a grunt of anger, Sage raised the large math textbook she held in her hand, slamming it onto his head. As he stepped backwards, suprised, his grip loostened and she ran, her long hair flying out behind her, her footsteps echoing in the silent hall. "Later hun!" She heard his voice calling out, and she skidded out the main door, a tear slipping out of her dark eyes. Why? Why couldn't she be normal? Either she was made fun of, or she was practically raped each day in the minds of the guys! With a deliberate movment, she ripped off her black jacket, dark wings unfurling and snapping outwards, and she ran, leaping into the sky, the wind catching under the dark feathers and pulling her aloft. She pushed downwards, hard, then again, then again. Soon she was high above the school and all of its gross people there. The wind this high up made the tears on her face dry imedietly, and she had to blink a few times just to be able to wet her eyes enough to see. Soon, it became unbearably cold, and she folded her wings, dropping like a stone, at the last second snapping them outwards and drifting to a gracefull stop on the ground, a few blocks away from her home. The upstairs of a pizza parlor. She went inside, and was rewarded with a wink from Miss Allen, the old woman who let her stay upstairs.Sage gave her a quick, pasted on smile, then took the stairs two at a time, reaching her small bedroom and flopping limply onto the bed.
