Mysteries. (BayMickey)

Slinking quietly through the shadows, the figure bent and twisted to stay hidden. Sharp keen eyes glanced around warrily, the figure obviously wanting to stay out of sight. A small dragons tail was wrapped around her neck, belonging to the dragon himself. The reptile was still a baby, and had imprinted on this mysterious figure recently, claming her as his mother. Sitting on her shoulder, the small dragon cooed and squeeked, making the figure raise a finger and tap him lightly on the head. The reptile quieted, then slithered along under her hair to sit on her other shoulder.
Sudian, the figure, silently slipped along the alleyway, before ducking out into the street. There were enough people where she could travel, undetected. She hoped.
Stay hidden.
She told the dragon, and he ducked under the cover of her long black hair.Trying to hide her pointed ears, she let her hair fall over them, ducking her head and quickly striding down the street.

"Look!!"

Sudian froze, her eyes hard, jaw set. She felt her dragon peeping out his head, looking around, and soon, she was surrounded by a mob of humans. All itching to set thier hands on her, to bring her to the guards. She reached up, clasping the dragon around the torso, and bringing him down. Holding him in her hands, the small reptile cowered away from the exitment.

"She's an Elf!"

The words soon made thier way through the crowd, and then, they started inching in closer to her. She backed away, then her arm was grasped by a strong hand.

"You'll bring a fair price, pretty one!"

She was jerked away from the others, being hauled towards the castle by a rought, burly looking human. Struggling, she didn't utter a sound, the marketplace filled with greedy humans, who started pursuing them, all wanting to bring in the elf themselves.

(You want him to be the prince? That would make it interesting...)





Weteri looked at the field of frazing horses from his window. His shadow cast a tall, black line on the floor. His maid stepping behind him, her black and white dress blending in with the hue of the dark room. "Sire, they have gotten some, creature for you." Weteri nodded, following her out the door. He walked out of the castle, and into the courtyard. He heard the bustle of gaurds as they lifted the gate. "Prince Weteri, this thing was founf sneaking aroundon the streets." Weteri cringed. "She obviously is a living being, sir, not just a thing. And she has rights." Weteri nodded, dismissing the gaurds. "And give the person who brought her to me a good pay." He looked at the female up and down. "You're a human mix breed, aren't you? Dragon or wolf? Or maybe with an elf, or a dwarf?" Weteri laughed. "Please excuse my curiosity." He led the bein back along the path winding around the castle. Weteri came upon the field of horses. "There is a house behind this field. Go. There's clothes and food. I'll visit you when I feel like it. Or you can visit up here. If you need anything, just use this."
Weteri handed the female a drum. "I'm Prince Weteri."

Sudian struggled silently, wrenching her arm out of the hard, painful grip of the man that held her in place. He gave her a sneer, before catching the bag of coins that was tossed in his direction. As he let go of her, Sudian stumbled forward, rubbing her arm where he had held her so tightly. Her dragon trembled in fear, and she clutched him to her chest, making sure he was safe. Sudian cringed at the word 'thing', then stepped back in fear as the man, obviously the one in charge, eyed her up and down. She felt that the back of her shirt was ripped, showing her shoulder that had a thin sheen of green scales. As he brought her forward, she stumbled, silently eying him with dead hatred.

"You are dimissed." Weteri walked back into the castle, and back up to his quaters. He went back to his window and watched the human-mix female. As he looked at her, he noticed she had a dragon. Black scales begand popping up in random spurts on his body. He paused, and made them fade back into his skin.

Dismissed!?

Sudian paused, watching him make his way back to the castle. She didn't know what to do, if she should make a run for it, or follow his directions. The small dragon chirped softly, and the female opened her hands, looking softly at the him, and tenderly running a finger over its tiny head. It cooed in delight, and Sudian placed him back onto her shoulder, before glancing up at the huge castle. The tips of her fingers tingled softly, and quickly, she pushed down the magic that was rising inside of her. Not knowing what it was, or how to use it, she made sure it was hidden and rarley ever showed.
Clasping her hands together, she looked warrily around her, standing dejectedly in the courtyard, alone and confused.

(Yeah, to go to the cabin or whatever, he's kinda cocky with his power.)

Weteri turned hid attention to his maid, who just brought him his dinner. "Thank you." He nodded in thanks, then she left, leaving him by himself. Weteri devoured the food, it suiting his hunger momentarily. He sighed, laying down on his bed and staring at the castle roof. he couldn't go outside the castle, scared he would, change. He had to either stay in his room or go into the courtyard. And he was no princess. He wouldn't stay in the garden for hours, smelling the flowers.

Slowly, Sudian walked forward, following the directions that the...human had given her. With her dragon on her shoulder, she soon crossed the feild and reached it, looking up at the grand house with awe. Was it a prison? Was it a trap? Her mind raced, and she looked around, turning, but seeing no one. Walking up to the door, she slowly rapped on it.

(What should happen?)

(I think it should be a trap. Because he wants to learn more about her.)

(Gotcha)

Weteri's senses tingled, and jumped to his window like a little boy. He opened the window, jumping out of it. Weteri caught himself on black wings, him now being a ten ton black dragon and all. He flew to the house, landing without behind it. Weteri heard her knock, then he switched back into a human. He climbed through the back door, opening the door from the left side, hiding behind it so she wouldn't see. Once she would step inside, she would be caught inside a cage. Did she know that? No.

Sudian stepped back instinctivley as the door opened soundlessly, with no one opening it. She eyed the inside curiously, admiring the polished wood and soft leather. Wanting to know more, she clutched her dragon, keeping him safe, and stepped inside of the house. Imedietly, something shifted, and without her even seeing it, a large, heavy cage fell over her. She fell to the ground instinctivley, her hands over her head, lying flat.

Weteri laughed. "There. Trust me, you'll get cozy once in a while." He winked, walking into the house's cooking area. "So? What's your name?" He stuck a bit of bread through the cage, treating her like an animal. Weteri smiled. "You won't stay here for long, but it'll do for now." He tossed the whole loaf of bread in, giving it to the female. He turned around again, his fading black scales shimmering with the light coming from the open door.

Sudian stared in horror as the man from earlier stepped out from behind the door. God, why had she been so stupid!? As he neared her, she scrambled backwards away from him, pressing her back against the cold cage bars. The emerald green scales on her shoulder gleamed and sparkled, and she practically snarled as he threw bread into her cage. Then, she uttered the first words she had spoken in months.
"Stay Avay!"
She had a slight accent, and her eyes were wide with fear. Clutching her dragon close to her chest, she glared at him with dead hatred.

"Sure, ma'am." Weteri laughed, his voice echoing in the house. "I'll be back later." He escaped through the back door, shifting into a dragon and flying deeper into the woods, towards the mountains.

Fail.

As soon as he left, Sudian opened her hands, letting the dragon crawl out. Soon, the small creature reached the cage wall, and slipped through the bars. Sudian pushed at the metal, but there was no door. The only way to get it off of her, was by lifting it up, and that could only be done by someone else pulling a rope.
"Help!" She cried out, and pushed at the cage. No one responded.

(Uh. This is gonna be a fail.)


Weteri heard her cries, but didn't turn around. he stopped though. It wasn't fair. She wasn't an animal. She was a human. He turned, looking at the house. He flew back. Weteri changed back into his human form. "Okay, I'll let you out. I just want to, learn, more about you."

Sudian's long dark hair fell into her eyes, the silky strands blowing softly with the warm breeze that blew through the open door. The breeze smelt of fresh apples, and lovley wildflower blossoms, making Sudan ache to be free once again. Sitting in the corner of the iron cage, she pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around her legs and resting her chin on her knees. Her wide eyes brimmed with unshed tears, and her scales on her shoulder sparkled and glittered in the warm bright sunlight. She knew she was different. She knew she was a failure, and she knew she was unwanted. A small sound from behind her brought her out of her musing, and she felt something small crawl onto her shoulder, curling up quietly. Her dragon cooed softly, obviously not knowing of what danger they were in. The metal bars were cold on her back, pressing into her flesh as she leaned against them. Her keen senses detected a change, as the air current channeled downwards, and a slight whistling sound passing over what seemed like leather.
Soon, powerfull strokes of wings could easily be detected, and Sudian ducked her head down, hiding her face. A single tear made its way down her cheek, streaking a path through the dirt and grime that caked her smooth cheeks. Pursing her lips together, she suddenly felt her magic try to show itself, making the tips of her fingers tingle, throwing out smooth white sparks that scuttled quietly along the floor. Using all of her concentration, she was able to push them down, making the power reside back into wherever it hid. It seemed, like every time it came, it was getting stronger and stronger, and Sudian knew she wouldn't be able to hold it in much longer. Footsteps made her raise her head slightly, her brimming eyes narrowing, making the tears spill out of her eyes. Raising a hand, she quickly brushed them away, making them smear on her dirty cheeks. She soon saw that it was the male, and she frowned as she saw black scales fading into his smooth, tan, human skin. Her pointed elven ears were showing, and she noticed at that time, that he had them also. Still, she was in no way ready to trust him at all.

Weteri's hands grasped the cold metal bars roughly. He channeled all his strength, in his human/elf form and his dragon form. He pulled upward, making the cage raise. Weteri's veins were easily visible in his arm as he was tense from raising the heavy metal. "Hurry, climb out." He motioned for the female to leave the cage. Once she did, (Sorry if this is powerplaying, I don't him to hold it forever.) Weteri threw the cage up, the chain holding going back into it's coil. "You can leave. But know I'm am sorry for my cruelty. I thought you were going to run. He sighed, turning around. "Are you hungry? You should eat before you leave." He motioned towards the kitchen. This residence was Weteri's 'vacation' house. Whenever he needed to be alone, and didn't want to go into his room anymore, he would come out here. He had been coming here since he was able to walk. You see, the king and queen, Weteri's parents, wanted a daughter. They needed a daughter, because when and if they had a son, he would be cursed. He would take the form of a dragon. He would be an elf. He would be an outcast. They had Weteri,a son, and loved him, but he could form into a dragon, and took the appearance of an elf. He was slimmer than his human parents, taller, and smarter. They didn't like that. Anyway. Weteri grabbed another loaf of bread from the wooden pantry, and a block of cheese, using his dagger to slice some bread and cheese, wedging the two together, and giving it to the female.

Sudain quickly scrambled out, and backed away from the male was he secured the cage back into its place. She watched him with large, keen eyes, and wiped the face with the back of her arm. As he turned to her, she backed up, and glanced warrily up at the male.
"You...You sorry?" She asked quietly, her english not as good as it should of been. She knew how to talk well, but with no reason to use it, was out of practice.
She watched as he cut cheese and bread, and her large eyes watched as he put the two together, reaching out and holding it towards her. She warrily reached out a hand, fingers closing on the food, before she withdrew quickly and stepped away, wondering if he was about to catch her again.

"Yes. I am sorry." Weteri laughed as she took the bread, then rejected it. "No poison. No trap. Eat." He smiled, holding it out for her still. A piece of colored hair fell in his face, Weteri brushing it away with his long fingers. He gave up, setting the food on the counter. "I promise." He walked around the counter, then saw a little flicker of scales, but not the ones on her shoulder. "You have a dragon?" Weteri cocked his head to the side.

Eying him warrily as he set the food down and stepped away, he mentioned her dragon, and her hand flew up instinctivey flew up to her shoulder, protecting him, making sure he was safe.
"Yes."
She answered quickly, then slowly reached out her hand taking the sandwich, and taking off the bread, peering at it closley. It looked safe, so she quickly ate the bread, giving the chunk of cheese to the dragon, who tried to claw it out of her fingers.

"Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt him." Weteri smiled warmly again. He watched the female as she ate. "Can I ask you of your name?" Weteri walked towards the the stone fireplace, leaning in front of it. He blew onto the wood inside the fireplace, sparking it and creating a fire.

(Me too.)

Sudian placed her hands on her hips. "Maybe not, but you might cage him, yeah?" She said, frowning at the male. "You dont tell my your name, I dont tell you mine." She winced as the dragon bit her softly on the neck, asking for more food. She removed it, holding it in her hands, its long tail curling around her wrist as its small eyes looked up into her large ones. Long hair fell in front of her face, and she brushed it away, looking back up to where the male had started a fire in the fireplace. She didn't like fires.

(So as you can see, she is almost wild.Not like an animal, but uncivilized)

(Ok.)

Weteri shook his head. "No. I won't lock him up. And I did tell you my name. It's Prince Weteri." He looked at the flames, them dancing in his eyes.

(I am going to start a titanic topic.)

Sudian frowned, and stepped closer, though she knew she should probably get out of there. She inched towards the fire, the flames dancing and making her narrow her eyes, watching them with intrest. As soon as she neared the flames, she reached out a hand, and winced as a flame brushed across the skin, burning it. Pulling it back quickly she held it to her chest, but still, watched the fire with intrest.
