As if life could get any better.. {starcatcher only}

Bailey trotted around in circles in the round pen, her head held high, tail flowing behind her in a creamy white banner. She trotted around, her muscles flexing beneath her perfectly groomed golden pelt, and her brown eyes looked around her surroundings. The Quarter Horse mare paused, her ears twitching as she heard distant noises toward the front gate of her owner's expensive property.

The buzzing sound of the bell to open the gate startled two young yearlings in the front pasture, and the $80,000 thoroughbred colts shot off like bullets. Bailey eyed the truck and trailer duo that was rolling its way up the main driveway, and watched carefully as it parked by the other human's vehicles. She watched three people climb out of it, and noticed a small dog jumping around in the back of it, begging to be let out, but the humans locked it inside. Horses in the surrounding pastures had all trotted to the sides closest to the house, a rumbling of mixed nickers and whinnies could be heard. The black laborador that always slept in the barn began barking gruffly, but soon got disinterested and wobbled away into the shade.

Bailey's owner jogged down her porch steps of her large white house, and greeted the three visitors. Bailey's lip twitched, and she let out a soft nicker as she eyed one of the three humans in a particular way, it was a young girl. The palomino mare walked closer to the white fence of the pen, her broad chest pressing against the wood, causing it to tremble a little under her weight. Humans never came to visit the stables unless a horse was up for sale, and as far as Bailey knew, nobody was for sale, but she guessed she would eventually find out whats going on soon.

Selena got up out of the car, her dad getting out too slamming the door. So did her step mother. Selena looked around, blinking. It was nice looking. She started to walk starting to focus on all the horses that were there.
Selena was wearing were jeans with a nice shirt on and long hair with colorful instentions on the bottom. She lived life on the farm with her dad and step mom. It was a nice little farm. She also lived her life with her beautiful horse, Soxx and her Australian Shepherd, Blue Jeans. Sabrina, was her sister. Twin sister they don't live together, but they do see eachother like they are supposed to. Her mom-- their mom had tansferred Sabrina to Selena's school. Though it wasn't all that nice to Sabrina at first because she was used to the good--good life. But then she got used to it.
Selena followed the men to the pen. As they got closer, she saw two little colts. They seemed a little scared and laughed at their cuteness. Out of the horses, she found one, pressing to the fence and looking at her. She walked to her, a kind and gentle smile plastered on the face as she started to pet her muzzle. "Hello there," she murmured.

Bailey watched intently as the girl approached her, the other humans walked off to go look at the thoroughbred colts. The palomino mare flinched a little as the girl reached out he hand, but once she noticed she was trying to pet her, she reached out her neck, and placed her muzzle against the girls hand, her hot breath falling against her palm.

The mare nickered softly, and examined the girl with kind brown eyes. The white snip that ran down her face from the middle of her eyes moved as the vibrations from her nicker made her muzzle twitch. Bailey looked up and away, lifting her muzzle from the girls reach, and she looked toward her owner and the other teo humans, who were approaching the horse and girl.

"I see this fine mare's caught your eye," the owner smiled, stopping by the fence and reaching out a hand to stroke Bailey's cheek.

Selena pet her with a light touch, hearing her snort. She smiled. "You're a nice mare aren't ya?" she asked kindly, meeting her kind stare. She then nearly jumped as the owner, she guessed the beautiful palmino came up to her. She nodded and put her hands behind her back, now kind of embarrssed and nervous. "Yes I--" she stopped and chose her words carefully. "She's a beautiful mare." She said and cleared her throat.

The owner smiled and slid he hand down Bailey's cheek once again. She looked at Selena's parents, and pointed. "I'm thinking of selling her, for a decent price, that is. Her name's Bails Of Gold, or Bailey. This Quarter Horse is worth a bunch. Shipped all the way from Australia. Great barrel racing and trail mare, if your interested in that stuff. Also has great bloodlines, and her foals could be worth alot," The owner continued talking with Selenas parents.

Bailey looked back at the girl infront of her, sticking out her muzzle, her hot breath ruffling the girls hair. She moved her lips around, lipping at the sleeve of her shirt.

Selena smiled as she snorted. She looked and listened to the owner, her eyes widending with every word. "Seriously?" she asked and then looked at her dad, with near pleading eyes. "Let us keep her! She's a beautiful mare." Her dad sighed and turned the man pulling out his wallet. "How much do you want for her?" He asked. She nearly squealed and whispered in the mare's ear, "your my future horse. I have another horse, his name's Soxx, nice. He's black and white. And I also have a very very nice and calm dog her name's blue jeans. You'll love it. And Soxx has been getting lonely."

Bailey sniffed at Selena's hair, nibbling her gently as she nickered softly. The owner turned to Selenas dad. "$1,000. Since you have straight up cash. I'll give you the good deal." She smiled at the family. The mare looked around and gave out a shrill whinny, as if she knew what was going on.

(sorry. That was weak.)

Selena looked at her dad when he looked at her and sighed. He pulled out the cash in 100 s and gave it to the owner. We'll take her. Selena gave a shrill shriek and climbed over the fence. She petted her all over and got her holding her mane tightly. "Oh Soxx and Blue with just love you." she said.

The owner smiled, and handed Selena's father the golden mare's leather halter thay had a bronze name tag on each cheek strap with "Bails of Gold" tapped into it. Bailey nickered, and bobbed her head as she saw Selena climbed into the round pennwith her. The mare trotted foward, rubbing her face against Selenas torso gently, almost knocking the girl over. She whinnied, then looked at her old owner. She let out a nicker, and then turned back to her new family.
