4 Year old mare

The black folds of the mare's forelock fell down onto her face. She thrashed her head and flicked her tail slightly to rid of the flies. Her long black tail swayed from side to side, yet kept her heat scent from leaking out. She grazed among the grass popping up from the damp ground. Her hooves didn't make a sound as she walked calmly towards the falls. She stretched into a gallop, the wind whipping her jet black mane backwards. A smooth whinny escaped from her maw. Thrashing her regal head, she ran into the crystal clear pool beneath the falls. She smiled gently and sipped the icy water, sending shivers through her body.
