A Plea To Escape (OPEN) [R] White_face

She ran through the snow and ice, white head low. She pushed on through the cold weather as she heard the muffled sound of hooves clashing against snow and rocks. Suddenly Izzabella's hooves landed on ice blanketed lightly in snow. She slid, struggling to gain her balance as te horse behind her ran around. She managed to somehow make it to the other end and she slipped slightly as she made hast for the land. Nearly falling face first Izzy saw the stallion close. She leapt off the ice and kept going. What seemed like days was merely only hours of running from him. For another 15 minutes Izzy kept running with the stallion close on her tail. She veered around a lake which had frozen over with thin ice. Though a hoof slipped and she went straight onto the ice, slidding towards the middle. The stallion stopped, waiting to see if she would come off. Izzy slipped and slid, managing to make it to her hooves. Though as she moved, the ice cracked underneath her. She noticed the stallion flinch at the sound and she glanced at his shocked expression. Though, through the adrenaline, shock and fear coursing through her veins she made a foolish decision. Izzy tried to run to land. The ice cracked under her weight and eventually caved. She went straight into the icy water with a shrill squeal. She thrashed, trying to get atop of the ice again. It was freezing! She saw the stallion veer away and gallop off. So much for him. Izzy's body grew slightly numb from the cold and she felt like she was burning! She looked every wich way to try to find a way out of the ice. After much struggle and nearly losing conciousness many times Izzy made it out, freezing and exhausted. She made it off the ice slowly, shaking. She was freezing and just wanted to close her eyes. Though she knew she couldn't. Izzy slowly, ever so slowly, walked off, through the snow. As the white touched her it felt like she was being seared. Then she heard a gunshot and Izzy raised her head weakly. Her ears flicked forward as she shivered, listening for any more sounds. All was quiet for what seemed like hours. She swayed though did not notice. Then she heard hooves and the voices of man. Izzy went to make a run for it though all her strength drained away. They soon surrounded her, throwing lassoes over her neck. Yet Izzy did not react. She lowered her head and just shivered. She heard one man dismount and move towards her. His hand outstretched and she felt the heat off his hand. then he touched her and Izzy shied away with a light squeal. His hand felt like it was burning her! She heard the muffled talk of men and then the man who had touched her said"She must have fell into the lake." and others said"just leave her here!","she's going to die anyway" and "she won't even make it to the truck!" though the man next to her growled at them and said, "we can't leave her to die!" and that was that. The man moved away and mounted his horse. They then slowly moved their horse and Izzy followed weakly. Every step felt as if she was going to fall. She then noticed the horses. Most were blacks and bays and all were mares. Except a couple on the outside whom were stallions or geldings. After the sun had set and the moon has risen they made it to the truck. They all dismounted and put their horses away. Lastly, it was Izzy. She gave little protest as hardly anything processed through her brain. She didn't care anymore. She was tied up and the body heat from the horse next to her made her cringe. She was still freezing after all that time. Though it didn't hurt as much when a man laid a hand on her whispering that it will be alright. As he walked out and the door was shut, darkness swallowed them and izzy welcomed it. Not just the darkness within the truck but the darkness of sleep.
Once she woke Izzabella Mercury Kat felt the truck stop. The murmurs of men and then the door opening. The sunlight poured in and Izzy blinked several times to adjust to the light. She was led out and what was before her was nothing like she'd ever seen. Horses, wild and tame alike and humans everywhere. Izzy stared wide eyed. She would have protested but by now all that protested was her stomach. She quietly went along with them to a paddock with around 5 other horses. 2 mares and 3 stallions. She could tell they were all tame. Because when the gate was open they either came up to the people or stayed where they were. Though as she was released Izzy did nothing but look around. Then, taking no notice of the other horses she lowered her white head to eat. Her chestnut body gleamed under the sun. Then the people came up with a bale of hay. Izzy watched as the horses came up to eat though she stayed back. That stuff was foreign to her. She couldn't eat it. What if it was bad? Izzy stayed where she was and just ate grass. Once she now longer felt hungry she went and had a drink. Though she took no notice of the trough. All she wanted was water. She then walked around the borders of the paddock, nudging the fences lightly, but getting stronger. She wouldn't escape by pushing them. Only jumping. But she already knew that if she tried to escape she'd just be caught. So izzy stayed quiet until the time was right.
3 days passed and Izzy still stayed silent, avoiding any human or tame horse. Any foreign food and only the trough she accepted seeing as it was the only water supply. She was fasinated how humans and horses could get along. Izzy then made another round of the fence like every other day, nudging them to see the loosest posts and the lowest to the ground. All it looked like to others would be simply looking but to Izzy it was much more. Planning. Deatail. Escape. One more day passed and she took the chance of feeding time when horses protested to do any work. Though the weakest and lowest was the front of the paddock, she' have to take it. Izzy moved to halfway down the paddock and turned. She trotted around a few times to make it look like she was just, well, moving. Then she charged full speed at the fence. Though the fence was to the top of her chest atleast she didn't care. Izzy leapt over it with ease and she turned and bolted towards the gate to escape. To freedom. She then saw people rushing out to grab her and with much speed and agility Izzy dodged and swerved them. She kept her head down low for speed and her tail bannered from the part arabian in her veins. She made it out the gate and then what she didn't expect was horses herding infront of her! Humansupon their backs and charging at her. How did the get there? Were they already their? Were they liked guards for any escapee horses like herself? Izzy, though, shook away the thoughts and charged right at the. Some horses and humans hesitated, not used to horses doing this. Though some kept plowing on. Izzy took the ever so slight gaps in the horses which hesitated and barged right through the wall of humans and horses. Some horses fell to the ground from the impact though Izzy kept running. She wanted her freedom. She heard hooves behind her following. But only one horse. She glanced back for the briefest second and saw one of the stallions which she had seen on the day of her capture coming after her. She snorted and looekd forward and raced on. Though his longer legs took him further Izzy's speed was great. Though he caught up after some time and she felt a lasso around her neck, trying to pull her back. Izzy slowed and the human upon the stallion's back sighed in relief. Izzy smrked and then lunged forward at full speed. She would have yanked the human right off the stallion if the stallion had not anticipated that. Though her strength was incredible. Eventually with a struggle and a fight which last up to an hour Izzy gave up. Escape was futile for today. She will escape. But she guessed now wasn't the time.. Izzy snorted and movved as far away as the rope would allow her. She didn't want to be near the stallion who had denied her, her freedom.
