Personality: He's a relatively open-hearted male, but certain events in his life changed that. He became closed off and hardly ever talked, and when he did, most of the things that came out of his mouth weren't very pleasant to hear. He's a very disagreeable character with views on things that most people would find completely ridiculous (like how the government they had was a piece of shit - not so much that no one else thought that, they were all just too scared to say it). He and his partner, Kerri, were both kind of adrenaline junkies and took on many jobs for anti-government 'agencies' that required them to leave the quarantine zones. Neither had a particular liking for children and so the couple never did have children. Kerri was the only person Roy ever really treated fairly and listened to completely. She was the center of his world and they were never apart. Neither of them ever wanted to be. He'd walk the ends of the earth for her and got incredibly moody when people were disrespectful to her. He has a tendency to get frustrated easily and create an unnecessary shit-storm of curses. He also tends to get loud when he's angry and never really thinks about what the consequences of his actions may be. Life without Kerri creates him into a more somber character - he hardly talks and doesn't like to socialize. He seems much more fragile than he actually is and he takes verbal hits just as well as physical ones. Rarely is he ever beaten down, but without Kerri that's how his life is like, and he'd rather die than live without her.
History: Roy was born into a world that wasn't really kid-friendly. His mother died in childbirth and his father raised him until he was sixteen, when his father, who was also a sort of adrenaline-junkie went out one day and never came back. His body was never found, either, even though Roy foolishly went out and looked all over for it. He was nearly bitten and killed multiple times on his journey to find his father's body, and that is what spurred his adrenaline-junkie type spirit. He met his future wife, Kerri, when he was out exploring when he was twenty, and she shot him with an arrow. Luckily he'd ducked and it only hit his shoulder, but from that point on they rarely left each other's sides. She nursed him and his shoulder back to full health, even though there was still a mighty ugly scar on his shoulder from the hard-to-remove arrowhead that she'd handcrafted to stick and stay. After only a year of knowing each other the two got married and headed out to adventures. After five years of being married, one fateful day lead to Kerri being bitten, and instead of turning into a zombie, Kerri had begged Roy to make sure she wouldn't...and he did. An event that he can never forget, nor never forgive himself for.
