The Death of Black

The stallion raised his head in defiance
He snorted savagely and in defence
But there was nothing to fight against.

As he breathed his last breath
He began the fight against Death
He culdn't beliave that he was dead
As he lay his head on his final bed

He would never see another tomorrow
And the mare beside him nickered with sorrow

I almost cried writing this and I'm not really a poet so if people could reply with what they think that would be great.

I don't know, that was really very good.
