Flying on wings (Spiritz)

Diego fell through the trees, speeding to the ground at a tremendous pace, he was about to hit the ground when he opened his wings, he floated lightly in the wind and landed lightly on his feet, he walked into a small clearing in the forest, he saw a funny shaped tree with pictures he had artisticly carved out of the wood with a sharp rock, he sat on his 'tree chair' and started to carve a drawing of an angel whilst whistling.

Light blue hair whipped wildly in the air, belonging to a figure that looked like she was having the most amazing time of her life. Her eyes were sparkling, wide and brilliantly colored, and her hands were clasped up behind her head. Her fourteen foot dark wings were spread wide, thier feathers catching the wind and making her soar higher and higher into the sky. Each downstroke propelled her faster through the sky, the wind ripping over her and making her clothes flutter harshly against the wind. With a huge, beaming smile on her pretty face, she slowed her wings untill they were still, catching a downdraft and riding it carefully, much like the hawks had done. Slowly, she circled in a wide wide circle, each time getting it a bit smaller, her dark wings soaking in the warm bright sun overhead. Soon she landed gracefully in a wide, open field, filled with tall grass that tickled her bare legs as she walked through it. Her hair was windblown, her cheeks flushed and happy. The dark siloughette of her wings were spread outwards, cooling from her exilerating flight.

"That was a big looking bird!" he said looking up through the trees, seeing a figure quickly glide over the trees, he jumped of his tree trunk and gave a running start before jumping into the sky, he flapped his wings, sending his higher and faster into the sky "Wait.....thats a........another one of me? except its a girl?" he said, flying up to her side.

Sora delecatly stepped forward, the soft grass tickling her bare feet. The long dark feathers draped down over her wings,blowing gently in the light warm breeze. A large shadow darted across the sun, and Sora's head snapped up, seeing something large dissapear behind the tops of the trees. With a grim expression on her face, she frowned, running her hands through her long blue hair. Then, something landed in the grass behind her, and she whipped around, her wings spreading up and out around her body, menacing on even a good day.

Diego got whipped by her wings "hey!" he said, hovering and spirrling up into the air, he spread his wings out directly infront of the sun, casting a sillouete of a 18 feet wng spanned human.

Sora's face drained of color. Shut up, this is NOT happening! She screamed inside her head. Pursing her lips and setting her jaw determindly, she crossed her arms over her chest and glared up at him. He was significantly taller than her, probably about three inches. His wings were bigger also, and hers were considered pretty darn big at anything. At a full span of about 16 feet, they were very strong and powerful.

Diego rolled his eyes and dived back to the ground at a deathly speed, yet he managed to land so light on his feet, even the birds didn't startle, he walked back to his tree Thats impossible, I thought that I was the only one! he thought, he laid down on the ground and peacefully watched the clouds.......

(?? she was on the ground...)

(different ground!)

Sora watched as he flew away, with a bemused expression on her face. Not caring if she ever saw him again, she resumed her walk, her wings finally cool enough to fold to her back.

Diego walked back to his 'tree chair' and sat on it, he rested his foot on a different tree branch and slouched, protecting himself from the heat with his wing.

Sora lightly flapped, feeling the sun beating down on her feathers, the dark color soaking up the warmth and warming her wings. Her powerful muscles burned with energy, and she lightly leaped off of the ground and into the sky, unfurling her wings and stroking up to a high branch.

"Shes a good flyer too" he said to himself, watching her fly to a tall branch.

Sora's bare feet touched the thick, rough bark of the branch, and she landed softly. Suddenly, and just as she realized that it was too weak to hold her, the branch snapped under her weight, making her plummet downwards, the spikey limbs of the trees tearing at her clothes and wings.

Diego pressed two pinky fingers to his mouth and whistled to her, disturbing the peacefullness of the forest.

A whistle!? Sora painfully spread her wings a tiny bit, getting whapped harshly as soon as she did so. Painfully, she managed to flap her way out of the tearing branches and land with a loud thump on the ground.

"Woah!" he said jumping to his feet and running to the insedent "Woah, are you okay there?" he said, looking at the girl on the floor

Lying on her side, Sora furled her wings around her body in embarrasment. A few long black feathers littered the ground around her, but none of the necicarry ones were missing.

Diego fiercly pinned his wings to his back "do you actually talk?" he hissed.

Sora snapped to her feet, lashing out her wings behind her, blocking the sunlight. Her eyes were ablaze with fury, and she narrowed them.
"Yes, I do actually! Not like you have to know!"

Diego ignored her and picked up one of the feathers off the ground and inspected it "Nice feathers...." he said dropping it and sitting in his 'tree chair'.

Sora grumpilly crossed her arms over her chest, glaring at him. "Uh hu." Was all she said to his comment. Her long black feather fluttered back to the ground, flashing hues of purple and beetle green as it caught her sunlight, as did her wings.

Diego sipped the last of the coke from the coke can he had found perfectly not touched in the forest, when he had finished he un rolled his wing and rolled the can down his wing and onto the floor.

"So." Sora said blandly, the sides of her mouth twitching into a half smile. "So.... You have wings."

"yeah, humans are mad for my wings...." he said, slouching again.
