Prologue
~1652~
Sleeping so soundly, not a care in the world. Dreaming sweet dreams like any normal 5 year old girl. Eliza Barrow dreamed of a whole other life. Not anything a 5 year old would dream. She dreamed of the future. When there would be motorized vehicles...highways, paved roads. Barely any horses. Only the lucky people had horses. Eliza's dream flooded with a dark cloud and a skull was formed in the smoke. Eliza screamed and tossed and turned, unable to wake up. Her dream gave a fast flash of red and then she woke up. But only to find a dark figure hanging over her, clutching a knife that was covered in blood. Eliza felt no pain but then she saw there was a large hole in her stomach. Eliza was murdered in her sleep...she woke up when it was too late. Eliza Barrow was dead...

Chapter 1
~2012~
"Mom! Do we have to move to this dump!" Eliza yelled.
"Eliza Barlow, we are moving here whether you like it or not!" her mother snapped. Eliza huffed a breath and said,
"There better be a place for Thresh, Rue, and Glimmer in our house." Eliza replied.
"Honey, there is. The dogs will be able to run in the field with the horses and the goat. I still don't understand why you are so in love with the 'Hunger Games'..." Eliza's mother, Kate, said.
"Mom, why shouldn't I! The books are amazing, the movie was amazing, and the actors were, also! Plus the dogs looked like the mutts from the 'Hunger Games' movie." Eliza said. Eliza picked up a box of her things that was labeled 'HUNGER GAMES STUFF do not touch Sam...' Eliza smiled and walked up to her new room. Glimmer and Rue followed her up the stairs into the attic but Thresh stayed in Eliza's room. Eliza looked up the stairs and said
"This place is creepy...I'll be back. I'm just gonna grab a flashlight." Eliza ran into her room and looked at Thresh hiding under the table.
"Scaredy cat..." Thresh growled and Eliza continued, "Well its true!" Eliza grabbed a flashlight and walked up the attic stairs. On the door it said 'For Eliza Barrow and Samuel Barrow ONLY!' Eliza looked around and noticed tons of things carved on the walls about this Eliza and Samuel Barrow. Eliza ran down the stairs and shut the door behind her.
"SAM! You better not be in my stuff!" Eliza yelled. Their was the quick patter of feet on the floor and Eliza ran as fast as she could to her room. Glimmer and Rue followed her. Eliza shut the door behind her and locked it. Her Hunger Games figurines were all over her bed.
"SAM!" Eliza yelled. Samuel laughed and then ran off toward his room. Eliza pulled out her homemade replica of the arena starting area, complete with golden cornucopia. Eliza placed the model on a low hanging shelf and began to place the figurines around it as if there were about to be a mini hunger games. Eliza finished with that and then began to hang posters and placed the trilogy of books on a shelf, covers facing outward. Eliza then made her bed with black sheets and a large mockingjay pin blanket. Eliza changed into a replica of Katniss' hunger games outfit and even placed the pin in its correct spot. Eliza would have saved the outfit for tomorrow's Hunger Games party but she had been wearing her other clothes for 2 days straight. Eliza ran downstairs to the main room and went out the front doors to help her mother get the horses and the goat into the barn. Eliza grabbed all four horses, including the one just about to give birth, and ran to the stables. Eliza tied three of the horses to the post and took Katniss, the pregnant horse, into her stall to give birth. Eliza then grabbed Peeta and placed him into the stall next to Katniss. He was the father of her foal. Eliza found that ironic because of what happened in the books and what happened to her horses. Eliza then grabbed Gale and put him in the stall closest to the door. (across from Katniss). Then Eliza saddled up Prim, who was actually Katniss' sister, and rode Prim until her phone beeped. Eliza slowed Prim to a stop and looked at her phone. She looked at her notifications and saw severe weather warning. Eliza turned Prim around and headed back for the stables. She was almost in when it began pouring. Eliza ran Prim into her stable and made sure that the goat was inside before she shut the doors on her way out. By the time Eliza had made it to the house her hair was drenched and her boots were filled with water. Eliza was lucky that her clothes were not too badly damaged. Eliza dumped her boots before she shut the door and went up to her room on the top floor. Eliza was in for a rough night....
