Stepping into the valley, looking at the path ahead and then bac at the pack, West sighed. There was a long way to go until they reached their destination. He had a very large territory and they changed positions every few months. West's pack, even without an alpha female, was the strongest of the dog packs, so nobody dared to try and take his territory. For now. Running a hand through his blonde hair, he turned his gaze back to the path he was walking along. It was a huge responsibility being an alpha, however, West loved it. He loved how the pack relied on him; sure it coul be a burden at times but it was good to know everyone counted on him.
Walking up the path, up over the steady hill, West decided they should have a rest. Once they all reached the top of the hill, West stopped and turned, facing the others, "alright, we are resting here for a while," he said and watched as they sat and started talking. West couldn't help but grin before he walked to the edgesof his pack and watched over them, leaning against the cliff. The valley wasn't very wide so he could see everyone just fine, which he was glad about.
Just two more days and they'd get there. At this rate, anyway.

Misa followed West, walking beside Luke. Her and Luke were the only mates of the pack. Sure, there had been previous ones, but many left to go make their own pack in another land. At the moment, though, it was just ehr and Luke. She glanced across at the man and a faint smile crept ove her delicate fetures before she shifted her gaze to the ground as she walked.
Though after a little while, Misa finally reached over and held his hand. Even though they were mates, Misa was still rather shy when it came to the relationship side of things. She had no idea why; she just was.
Misa looked at Luke an smiled at him before they started walking up the hill. It wasn't really a hard hill, just awkward, as there were ditches where you couldn't see, soyou'd step into on and nearly fall over. Just about everyone did it, except a few. Once they reached the top and west said they would be resting for a while, Misa sighed in relief. To be onest, she was beginning to feel a little tired.

There was nothing that could deter him.
The dew on the grass made it slippery, and the periodic trenches risked a broken or sprained ankle, but he acted as though the obstacles weren't there. Granite may not be one with rippling muscles and brute strength, but he could sure hold himself in a hike or run. He chuckled and kicked stones ahead of himself, aiming to the sides so that he wouldn't trip anyone. He knew it would eventually drive one of the others mad though, so he kept at it. Suddenly, the heels of the person in front of him came to a halt, and Granite abruptly stopped to avoid collision. His amber eyes dashed about until he spotted his older, stronger, half-brother. It wasn't difficult, Granite was rather tall in this form and could easily see over the rest of the pack. One raven-like eyebrow twitched upward as his brother spoke, then came back down to normal. Of course they'd be resting already. Granite crossed his arms over his chest and glanced about. Everyone, well almost everyone, had sat happily down and started up a conversation with their neighbor. He rolled his eyes and stepped around them like they were mines until he found the path West had been on. A boyish smirk danced across his thin lips as a thought trickled into his mind. Granite took an abrupt turn and started along a trail that led up the small cliff. His footsteps were silent along the moist leaves and dirt.

She grunted and winced as her leg gave out under her.
Her hand came down against the muddied earth to brace herself as she wrenched her foot from yet another hidden hole in the path. Ria cursed under her breath and walked through the pain. She hadn't said anything the entire trip, and she was itching for conversation. Not small-talk or friendly conversation of course, just something to turn her frustration from the hike onto someone else. Her feet stilled as soon as she heard the succession of her alpha's footfalls; his were unique and she found them quite easy to trace. Incredibly animal-like she lifted her small nose to the air and stood on her tip toes, trying to spy the tall blonde. Ria was unfortunately short, though, and had to make due with listening to him. A breath of sheer relief fell from her lips at the mention of rest, and she wasted no time collapsing to the ground. Her legs, well past her ankles and towards the middle of her calf, were soiled from the mud and leaves. Her crimson eyes flickered up around her and she watched as Granite disappeared into the trees. She snorted, knowing he was up to no good. Some might be mistaken and think he was ensuring they were alone on the hill, but Ria knew better. He had trained her to this position when he was Zeta, so she knew him better than almost anyone. Although West knew him better of course, they were blood. The dark haired girl turned her attention back to her feet and got to work pulling leaves and dirt from her leather shoes.
