Gaia(Gay-uh) is the princess of a small, medival country in the middle of the Atlantic country. She takes pride in her royal heritage. Her father is King Mica (My-cuh), and her mother is the late Queen Athene (Ay-thee-n). She has one younger brother, Braq (Braa-ck), aged ten years. Gaia herself is sixteen years old. She is five foot two inches tall. Her weight is about one hundred and five. Gaia has a small frame, and seems fragile. Gaia has long brown, wavy locks down to her waist. Her eyes are a dazzling green. Her beauty is talked about all through the kingdom. Gaia's personality does matches her appearance exactly. She is smart, curious, and quiet. Gaia spends her time reading and writing. Her singing voice, although rarely heard, is one of the most beautiful voices ever to be possessed. The girl possesses a skill with dancing also. Gaia is a picture-perfect princess. She is extremely a father's girl, as her mother died while giving birth to her brother. Gaia has never left the capital city, which she hasn't been past the market right outside of the castle's walls.

The trick about Gaia, though, is that she is the Dragon Heir. Ever since the birth of Nestria, her country, the dragons have lived on it in peace with the people. The royal family has the crest of a dragon. The king/queen, or Dragon Heir receives a dragon egg at birth. They live their life learning to care and respect their beast. The Heir and the dragon grow together, the egg usually hatching when the Heir is sixteen, the coming of age, in the quest for monarchy. They become one, able to communicate in each mind with one another. They love each other, and usually, both die at the same time as each other. They dragon and human each are the ruler of their own people. They almost never leave each other's side. They are best friends for life, and no one will be closer than these two, besides their spouses. Gaia's dragon is named Wrie. Since she just turned sixteen, the beast has just hatched. Gaia's life has just begun.
