i pad onto the cloud and pull back my lips in a grimace. in the air, there were no trees and there was no foliage. no earth... it disgusted me. i swivel my ears while my eyes flicker from one place to the next. i had been separated from my siblings during the storm and i had no idea where they were. 'relax' i told myself ' they will be fine, raze isnt a fragile little pup anymore and kronos and cain know how to handle themselves...... but Nyra..... she could cause some trouble...' images of torn bodies laying lifelessly on the ground flashed before my eyes and i winced 'no' i scolded myself ' that wont happen. it wont.' i sniff the air and grunt, it smelled like wildflowers. i sneezed and scratched my nose, the heady scent of spring had messed with my senses. i sat stiffly upin the cloud floor and waited for what? i didnt know. i turned my eyes to a bird flitting through the clouds. a soft breeze blew and ruffled my tangle of glossy black fur. my eyes shine and reflect off of the ground as i watch the bird. i take no notice in anything else as i focus all of my attention on the little things that were within my sight. i spotted a small brown hare, it froze as i laid my icy eyes upon it. i never moved from my statuesque position as i watched the critters intently. i then look up into the blue sky. the sun shone brightly, a white hot gem.

i lower my eyes from the dome that is the sky. i sniff the air a bit and wrinkle my nose. there was an odd scent in the air that wasnt flowers. it smelled as if someone was in heat, but different.... my eyes scanned the cloud around me and searched for the source of the scent. i huffed and tried to figure out what the smell was. maybe that is the smell of fear... i thought musingly. i look back at the sky. it was a very deep blue today. it reminded me of a body of water. an impossible pool of color and fantasy. it was a dome that protected the earth. and if it was protecting the earth, then it was protecting my siblings. i closed my eyes and imagined life before the Mist. we were so oblivious. so.... full of life. i opened my eyes and let the feeling of joy leave me i continued to stare at the sky, imagining diving into it and swimming around in its' magnificent depths. my face was a mask ofcold neutrality

turned to see a femme appearing upon the cloud. i hadnt noticed, but my lips had automatically pulled back from my teeth in a soundless snarl. i covered my teeth and looked at her. some said that the eyes were doors into the soul, and i dissected each of those eyes down to the stub. only then did i nod, giving her the signal that she was welcome. my face stayed a cold mask

(femme = another word for female wolf

we are on a cloud, so your wolf appears on it

he looked into her eyes and tried t see if there was any hostility in it

he nodded, giving her the motion he wasnt going to rip her head off.

his face showed no emotion

if you dont understand after that.... you need to be tested lol )

my eyes flicker in the light of the sun and i stare at her. my face a cold mask of neutrality. my eyes flash to each motion she makes. my ears prick and stand straight up from my skull, i had a feeling that i asnt going to be able to see my siblings for some time. i keep my stiff posture "hello" i said with a glacial politeness. my uncaring face gave away no emotion but inside i was burning up with curiosity of this other wolf
