Beauty & The Beast (Spritz)

Belle dragged her petite feet through the dusty streets of her small French hometown. She had a smile upon her pink lips, as always. Belle moved a wavy peice of brown hair away from her brown eyes, and behind her ear. Someone catcalled from a distance, and Belle glanced towards the direction in which it came from, only to see a group of men staring at her. She rolled her eyes slightly, and walked on, shopping and picking up things on her way. The busy streets were crowded, people pushing past the young woman and yelling at her to get out of their way. Men grabbed at her hips and her hair, dirty fingers gracing her face. Belle ducked her head down low, sometimes running away from them. This is what really happened in the story of Beauty & The Beast. It wasn't all joyful and pretty. Belle was prey to men, the prettiest girl they've ever seen. Some men were married, but they still wanted this woman. Belle lived it everyday. Anyway, the petite womna walked alone, towards the town's library.

Belle quickly borrowed a book from the library, then leaving the shop, taking a walk while reading. Belle soon lost herself in the book. The images of a blonde-haired princess stuck so cruelly in a tower, while a handsome prince tried to save her. The young woman walked too far, a dark castle now leaning over her. As the shadow of the building cast over her, Belle finally looked up, her pink mouth shaped into a frown. "How did I manage to get here?" She heard a low growl. "H-hello?" The female's voice shook with pure fear.

(Can he talk? And I'm trying to progress the story. Sorry about it being sucky.)

Rakru's ears were pinned back tightly to his cranium, his upper lip curled back to expose his long sharp canines. His mouth was foaming with saliva, and he snapped his mighty jaws together, creating a loud sharp snap. Shaking his massive head from side to side, he narrowed his glittering black eyes. Raising his shaggy head, he lifted it into the air and expanded his nostrils, inhaling deeply. The scent of a female drifted into his nostrils, the sweet scent of her blood clinging to him. A shiver wracked down his spine, and he hunched over, crouching onto the ground and sweeping his heavy tail from side to side, his shoulder blades rotating as he moved forward, until he was at the edge of the iron fence, but watching her with his lustful eyes.

The book fell from her hand, collapsing onto the ground. It's covers snapped shut, and the vines seemed to grasp it now on the dusty ground. Belle stumbled back, almost tripping over knarled roots. Her brown hair was strayed across her back wildly, her green eyes opened wide with fear. "I'm sorry for trespassing, I'll go." A dark figure appeared closer toward the house, and Belle noticed it wasn't human. She backed up slowly, afraid turning her back would lead in fatal consequences. Belle stopped, curiousity now taking over. Oddly, she didn't want to go Something intruged her. Her dress's trim now covered in dirt, Belle held her place.

(Eep! Creepy!)

A tear ran down down Belle's tanned skin. "I'm sorry. Really, I am. I'll leave right now. I'll run and never return." Tears started flowing from her eyes, and the curiousity faded away. Belle quickly took another step back, only to step on a root, in which twisting her ankle while doing this. She cringed, recollecting herself. "Please, don't hurt me." Growls emerged from the woods behind Belle. She couldn't help it, she looked back, seeing three more wolves behind her. A whimper that only a human could make escaped her throat. "Please. I'll do anything."

A harsh growl, his own laugh rose from Rakru's throat, and he shook his shaggy head back and forth, his fangs catching the dull light and glinting softly. Snapping his jaws, he pinned his ears to his skull, before placing a huge paw forward, out of the shadows. His sharp black claws dug into the dirt, and he slunk out of the bushes, his fur bristling, his muscles tense.
His face broke out into a terrible grin as his sensative ears heard rustling in the trees, and within moments three more wolves had grouped behind the girl. "Ssstayy."

Belle nodded her head in agreement. "I will. I'll stay. Just please, don't hurt me." She stepped forward slightly, then bent down to pick up her book. Belle dusted off the blue cover, then gripped the pages for comfort. Tears still fell down her face, making imprints on the dusty ground. Belle shuddered, a cold wind fluttering through the trees. "I will stay."

She watched as the being encircled her. A shiver ran down her spine as a result of her fright. Please... Belle's tears were soon making a miniscule puddle on the ground, but each would fade into the dirt. Book clutched to her chest, the young woman looked up at the beast. Tears ran from her eyes, but her face was strong. She noticed he was closer to her now. "You have my word."

Belle nodded slowly, walking forward towards the house. She didn't say a word, but a lot was going through her head. How would she tell her father? What would she tell him? That she got abducted by a beast? No. She couldn't. She would tell him that she had found a job, to get more money for her brothers and sister, and had to stay near, so she was living with a friend. No, her father knew she wouldn't do that. Belle would walk extra early everyday, just to see that old man's face every mourning. What was she going to do?

Belle walked into the house and looked around. Everything was dark. The tears had dried up, but her eyes were still moist with them. She looked back at the beast, eyes pleading and sad.

Belle sniffled, still clasping the book to her chest. "We." She walked forward, stepping up the stairs and stopping when she came to a window. She watched as the snow fell softly on the ground, covering the brown dirt with white. The sight calmed her, but not enough as she had hoped to be. Being was scared, hungry, and tired, lus she missed her dear father. The young woman looked back at the prescence she was with, eyes starting to dry now. She sighed, stepping back towards him. "My name's Belle. If you wanted to know, sir."

Belle's delicate figure jumped back when he snapped close to her face. She absorbed a tingle of fear going down her spine. She noticed he was standing on two legs now and was very, very tall. Belle recollected herself, then stepped forward again. "Where would you wish me to go?" She looked up at the beast, noticing he had blue eyes. (Does he? I'll change it if he does not.) Odd, she thought.

Belle followed him, looking up at the walls while she walked. The sights, menacing statues and paintings, frightened her. What had she gotten herself into? How would she tell her father? Maybe he could grant her a piece of paper, and let her send it to him. Belle looked back towards the Beast. She sighed, one last tear falling from her face. Her lips muttered and utter whisper, "Papa."

Belle nodded. "Thank you." She followed him down the hall, feet padding along the floor quietly. She let a small sigh escape her chest. Belle fondly of curtseying, but then let the thought escape from her overwhelmed mind.
