Jenna~
I grunted, feeling small movements in my tummy area. I was only about a week due for puppies, and I have been waiting out the time in this birthing pen. I looked up from my stomach to Balt, who was the father of my pups. I gave him a small smile and grunted again, chest heaving. "It's almost time," I panted weakly. "Where is the breeder?" The breeder hasn't been seen by any of us dogs for a while, and I was getting worried. "Do you think something happened to this place?" A strange man came in to view at that moment and picked me up roughly, probing my abdomen with a long bony finger. "This one's pregnant!" he called behind him. Another distasteful man appeared and nodded, writing something down on a clipboard. "We'll put those two in the pound." Something was obviously wrong, I could feel it. I trembled slightly and he set me down hard and picked up Balt, twirling him around like an object as he inspected him.

Balt~
I growled, I hated spining, now I was snarling, I growled as he proded my wrong area and bit him, my tiny fangs sinking deep into his flesh, now he wouldn't let go...

Jenna~
I shook my fluffy coat and looked up at Balt. He was biting the man, and he quickly half dropped/half put him down. The strange man scrambled out of the pen and closed the door, making a clinking sound as the lock. I yipped angrily at the man. and sidled up to Balt for comfort.

Balt~

I barked and snarled like crazy at the door, my upper lip curling, I was angry, confused and worried "somethings not right, the breeder isn't here...." I said through the growl.

Jenna~
I nodded, a bit afraid now. Over the days, the people came and handled us roughly without a sign of the Breeder. One day, when they tried to force Balt in to a crate, I bit the hand and they smacked us hard. "We need to get away from this place!" I cried, worried about how our pups might be treated.

Balt~

I cired/yelped when the hand slaped me hard, I ran over to the enclore, noticig it was made from wire (It is made from wire isn't it?) And it bit four bits of the wire, making a hole big enough for them to fit through "comeon! quickly!" I barked.

(Yes, it is. )

Jenna~
I nodded mutely and followed him, glancing down the empty aisle for the men. Seeing no one, I sighed in relief and trotted to a slightly ajar door. I puched against it to open it more as my full stomach made me fat so I couldn't get through too easily.

Balt~
I gently helped Jenna through and put her on my back before I scatered out the main doors and down the cncrete street.

Jenna~
I sighed, relieved of walking. "Thanks." I whispered and shifted, trying to make myself as light as possible. "Look! They can probably help!" I yipped wearily, pointing my paw at two beagles lying down next to a pond.

Balt~
I nodded, speeding faster down the park lane and nearly reached the beagles until I sliped and fell, sending Jenna toppling over the cliff, I yelped and grabbed her collar, my paws skidding sharply across the ground and my eyes grew wide.

Jenna~
I yelped as I fell off Balt and scrambled back up with his help. "Thanks." I breathed heavily, heart racing.

Balt~
I trotted up to the two beagles "please can you help us, my girl isn't far until she gives birth, is there any place we could stay for shelter?" I yipped to them.

Jenna~
I followed Balt and nodded, showing them my swollen stomach. The beagles looked up at us and smiled. "I'm Dexter, and she's Keira." He jerked his head towards his mate and she wagged her tail. "I'm Jenna and this is Balt." "Nice to meet you. Well, there is an abandoned birthing den not far from here..." Keira pointed her paw north-east.

Balt~
"Thankyou!" I barked, I nuzzled Jenna softly.

Jenna~
I smiled at Balt and the beagles. "Bye!" I trotted slowly towards the den and stopped, waiting for Balt.

Balt~
I followecd after her and laid down. (sss and ssb)
