Running only gets you so far

Free Runner was her name, because when she was only a few months old- she beat an adult in a race, albeit a little unfairly. Her mother named her after her father Freedom and also herself Run Away. Strange names they are- but loving mother and father.
Her tan muzzle lifted to the sky as she breathed in the August air. It was going to be a good day- she could tell. Her bones shivered in excitement. Black hooves followed by black socks led up to a black painted body- with speckles of tan all over. Her tail was lifted in joy- and she was all too aware of her bodies signals for a mate. Her heat was heavier this year than every before- and she was hoping to get a good stallion. Last years forcebreeder had done a dozy on her- and she'd miscarried the poor foal. With a sigh and a twinkle in her eyes- she began to graze. Hoping for a new start to her life- and hopefully a new mate.

Free was standing by one of the large trees in the forest. Her neck stretched from her long rest- trying to get the kinks out.
She nibbled on a piece of grass- not feeling all too hungry at the moment. Her ears perked as she listened to the sounds of something coming towards her.
She looked over to where the sound was coming for and waited for whatever was to come.

She jumped slightly as he called to her- almost halfway across the middle of the clearing. The 'hi' was picked up with her ears and she nickered a greeting.
She waited patiently for his slow gait to stop and he introduced himself.
'Hello." She spoke softly with a voice like honey. Soft and sweet. "My calling is Free Runner."
