I trotted farther into the forest of Montana, I didn't have any others with me yet so I had to patrol the border's myself. I remarked the boundaries and headed for the other parts of my huge territory. I was a fierce hunter, fighter, and leader. I panted, it was a hot day out and it didn't help that I had long thick fur. I soon stopped by the river to lap up water before I went hunting for myself. My Clan was named DarkClan as I lived in a very dark forest, where barely any light shown through the very thick forest.

I trotted after my father, my father was very young for being a leader but he was a very good leader. He was brave, wise, strong, and the other qualities that others looked for in a leader. I was the only pup of his heritage and I was happy, I hoped to be a leader when I was ready.

I trotted through the forest, my fur surprisingly silky and smooth. My paws gracefully bounced off the earth with no effort. I was unusually large for my breed and hard muscled. When the smell of other dogs hit my nose I turned their way. I was hoping it was one of those 'clans' so maybe I could be part of it and actually feel like I belonged. As they came into sight I barked a greeting "Hello there!"

I flicked my tail towards my daughter for her to attack or chase her off. I walked forward heading for the intruder,"What is it you want?" I asked snarling it as I showed my teeth and sniffed her, doggypet. I sneezed, I didn't like doggypet's. I looked down at her.

I held the female down and waited for my father's command to kill her or chase her off our territory.

I yelped as the dog pinned me, but growled at her. Then I growled "I'm just hoping to find somewhere to stay! My humans abandoned me!" Then I used my back legs to kick the female off me and growled, baring my teeth at them, standing up. Maybe this wasn't the best idea...

"Normally i don't let doggypets in my territory but ill give you a chance to prove you can stay here." I said sniffing her, i smelt her heat scent but tried to ignore it

I nodded, still slightly not trusting them. I knew I was in heat so I made sure my tail was pressed firmly against my entrance and made sure I kept my rump away.

I trotted to our camp and sat in the middle as the camp was busy with other dogs doing chores.,"I hope you can prove worthy in staying here." I said heading for my den

I ran up to him. "Wait! What do I need to do?" I asked. I didn't even know his name! I stood behind him, awaiting his answer.

"Bring back as much prey as you can before sunset." I said nodding

I nodded turned, then added "By the way my names Lily." Then I ran from camp and began hunting.

I laid down at the bottom of the Rock I made announcements from. I licked my legs clean and soon laid down with my heavy head on my front paws as I panted, it was getting hotter and hotter as the day went on

After a couple hours I came back with a few rabbits and two birds. I was quite proud of myself so I put all my prey in the pile and turned to go back until sunset.

I watched her, got I wanted to mount her, make her have my pups. My tool slid out of it's sheath

My tail wagged, letting some of my heat scent out as I trotted back into the forest.

I got up and trotted towards where she was,"Your teasing me with that scent." I said licking at her entrance

I yelped "Hey!" I spun around, my eyes wide in surprise. That had felt slightly good, but I didn't want pups right now. My eyes held a look like 'what the hell are you doing?!'

"Can't help it if your teasing me with that scent." I said nuzzling her neck. I pressed my muzzle into her shoulder

"What scent?" I asked, backing away slightly. I smelled the air but smelled nothing, I was in my first heat.

I laughed,"Your in heat and I want pups." I said my nose going with her scent. I kept alert in case there was rival dog Clans.

I stuttered "B-but...but...I don't know you!" I backed up more, my tail clenched against my entrance.

"Ill make it enjoyable for you." I said

I shook my head. I didn't want pups yet, and especially not with a dog a didn't know. Hell, I didn't even know his name.

"The names BullStar for how big I am." I said watching her with my chocolate brown eyes

I nodded, my tail only slightly lifting. I wasn't trusting him yet.

"If you want I can court you." I said turning around and beckoning her with the flick of my tail and headed for camp to share fresh-kill with her. I took a rabbit and laid down in front of my den and waited for her to laid down beside me and eat with me
