Echosong: *I look back at you* You should leave. I'll talk to you after this, okay? *I turn back to my work*

I leave the den and go over to the corner of the camp, and lie down, watching the others warily. I tried to brush of the thought I had had earlier. No, it isn't him, wrong color eyes. I told myself.

*You hear shrill wail, then no more. You then see Tallstar walk wearily away from the cave, followed by a horrified Firesoul and a miserable Echosong.
Echosong: *Head down, I walk to you*

"She died, didn't she?" I say evenly, morning her loss, but i had seen death a countless times before, and was not as scared or shocked as a roge or riding pony (Same as Kittypet, only horse wise) might be.

Echosong: *I give a small nod* It was my fault! *I hang my head* She died having the foal, and now the foal will die, too because of no milk. The queens already have one of their own, and none of them have died.

I look at you. "I have milk" I say softly, knowing now what I had to do, a plan forming in my mind.

Echosong: But you have a foal coming.

I nod "But I'm willing to help any horse who needs me, that foal will die without milk" I say calmly.

Yes. Well, This way. *I lead you into the den, where you see Tallstar wrapped around a small, black and white foal*
Tallstar: What?
Echosong: She says she'll help.
Tallstar: *I nod and get up*
Willowfoal: *I let out a cry, my warmth taken away*

I trot over to the beautiful foal and curl around it, giving it warmth. "Shh" I coo "It's alright, I'll take care of you." I nuzzle the tiny foal towards my bags.

Willowfoal: *I burrow in and drink*
Tallstar: You may stay here for tonight. Thank you, may StarClan give you peace for many moons to come. *I give you a nod of respect, lick my foal, then leave you in my warm, roomy den*
Echosong: If you need anything, just shout.

I nod, smiling remembering my first time as a mother, many moons ago.

Willowfoal: *I give a small sigh of content, then press my nose to your belly*

I nuzzle you and lightly put my head on your small body, giving you more warmth.

*I fall asleep*
Tallstar: *Silent as night, i slip into my den and rest a ways off*

I sleep, still curled around the foal.

*Morning comes, and is shown by a steady buzz of warriors talking. You notice Tallstar is gone, in Willowfoal is laying a bit aways from you*

I walk over to Willowfoal and nose her "Are you alright, dear?" I ask gently

Willowfoal: *I nod and playfully scamper around* Come on, Mommy!

I wince a little at that, wondering how the others would react if they heard it, but it's gone so quick the foal doesn't notice and i trot after her and gently play with her.

*You here a series of neighs and wails, blood scent reaching you*
Tallstar: ShadowClan is attacking! *I launch into battle*
Firesoul: *I quickly injure my opponent, trip him, and send him off squealing*
*After awhile the fighting dies down, and ShadowClan leaves*
Tallstar: Are you okay, Firesong? Firesoul? *I go through all the horses*

I'm fine!" I call, "one had come in, but it had run away squealing in pain when I was done with it. Willow might need something for shock, though." I say, looking at the frightened colt.

Firesoul: Where's Braveshine! *I frantically search*
Braveshine: "Here" *I moan in a weak voice, blood pouring from a neck wound*
Firesoul: No! No you can't!
Braveshine: *I give a weak smile* Get Firesong over here.

I hear this and turn to WillowFoal "Wait here, sweetie, I have to talk to someone" I rush over to Braveshine.

Braveshine: *I reach up to you* Take care of my Firesoul. Take care of Willowfoal and make her your own. I know your path, a rollercoaster with bumps and bruises. But you will join me later. *The light dulls from my eyes and I die away*
Firesoul: NO!
