An Angel Story

I can still hear your voice,
I can still feel your love.

And even though its been a year,
It feels like only a month.

I know you're in a better place,
Away from the twisted minds of Humankind,

But I still can't shake the feeling,
That somehow it didn't end right.

I remember in the hospital,
Saying you'd be okay.

I never meant to lie,
I only wanted it to end that way.

And now that it's all over,
I finally can see,
What a loving sister,
And best friend you've been to me.

So you'lll always be in my heart,
Always on my mind.

I'm proud to let my tears fall,
You taught me to do that,
And even though I didn't listen then,
That's all I'll think abut now.

I know you're in a better place,
So know that when I'm crying,
I'm only crying for myself,
Because I'll miss you always,
And you should be happy now.

I know you've got your wings and halo,
Flying free in the clouds.

I hope you remember me,
As much as I will you.

But don't let my sadness sorrow you,
For it's only temporary.

I'm not saying I'll ever forget you,
But I'll see through the pain someday.

I'll be abe to laugh and smile,
Cry and pain again.
Even if right now it's nothing,
The pain will come again.

I'll always remember that one day,
When the hospital called one last,
I'll put on a brave smile,
But I'll be crying inside.

Because I know that you wouldn't want it that way,
You'd want us to be happy,
That we knew such a wonderful girl,
Bringing everyone joy and love.

And even though Death got you in the end,
You fought long and strong.

So fly my angel,
Rest with Jesus in the clouds.

For you have truly been, an Angel,
And the best friend I could have ever wished for.
