A Forest Refuge (DustyRose)

Crashing into the dense forest, i slow my angry pace to a more casual, but careful walk. I stop in a small clearing and wait for Bernard to catch up. We had just recently escaped our humans and wanted nothing more than freedom. With a grunt, i yank at the ropes and tethers attached to me still. I walk over to a tree and find a sharp, torn piece and stick some harnessings under it. Pulling, i hear them snap and feel the wonderful feeling of them falling off my dapples coat. With a grin, i turn and smile at the handsome stud, waiting for him to do the same.
