The Wide Open Spaces. (From pick and play)

Long, shining black hair streamed in the wind, from the horse and the rider. The young man had a smile on his face, and raised his arms into the air, closing his eyes. The beautiful horse galloped onward, each footfall leaving a hoofprint in the soft grass, untill eventually, the rider, stroked the creatures neck softly, long tan fingers running over the shining smooth hide of the horse. The village was in sight, and Hakan, as was the horses name, urged forward, eager to get back. Waya let him, and soon, they reached the small village, tendrills of grey smoke trailing into the air. There were multiple teepees, each family sharing one. They were made out of white leather, and on them were painted symbols. Many women leaned over fires, stirring a pot of stew, while the elderly men sat in a circle, thier leathery wrinkled faces breaking into smiles as they talked. Waya leaped down off of Hakan, landing on his bare feet lightly, then giving the horse a gentle pat.

Migina snorted, lifting her head with a mouthful of grass. She let out a neigh to the horse and rider that returned. The young horse trotted in place, spitting the green grass out and licked her own shoulder.

Hakan snorted, ignoring the mare. He had other things to do, if she wanted a social visit, she would have to find him. He trotted off to a different side of the meadow, then bent his head down, tearing the grass out of the ground and chewing it, raising his head now and again to check on Waya.

Migina looked around for her rider, but saw he wasn't there.

Lakota strode along the grass, his hooves almost hovering away from the ground like a ghost, he looked so elegant, but he was quite the oppisite! As Chatan dismounted, he gave Lakota a long big pat "You did well today, Lakota, Good Boy, you go play with your friends now" Chatan Said softly walking into his teepee, As Chatan headed back to his Teepee, Lakota bowed his head in respect, when Chatan was inside, He whinnied happily and Galloped too the meadow, as he came closer, he slowed to a trot he whinnied a hello to Migina happliy as he trotted past the mare, he stood right infront of Hakan he smiled and whinned, shaking his head and pawing at the ground happily, in a way to say hello to him.

Hakan tossed his head happily, lifting his front hooves off the ground slightly as Lakota came back, letting out a shrill whinny. He made his way over to the other stallion, nipping his mane slightly, in a playful manner, before lowering his head once again to graze.

Waya glanced up, hearing hoofbeats in the distace. Soon, Chatan came into view, and he waved him over.

Chatan saw Waya waveing at him, he ran over "Hey" he said, looking over, checking if Lakota was still there.
Lakota wasn't in the mood for grazing, so he trotted off into the forest, in search of something to do, he found a couple of mushrooms, but they looked poisonous so he left them, he found some Orange Cox apples which looked interesting, so he picked some up and put them in the hunting baskets on his back, the indians alawys wash the apples before eating them.

Migina whinnied, clacking her teeth. Why were they ignoring her? He rider wasn't there, and it had been a long while since she had more attention besides food and water.

Lakota heard the mare, he let out a horsish sigh and whinnied saying she may join him if she wished, after collecting about 10 Orange Cox apples, he started digging in the ground for truffles. today was his lucky day! he found three truffles laid neatly next to each other, collecting dirt, Proud of himself, he trotted out the forest, head held high.

Hakan tossed his great head, his firey coat flashing in the sun. Pawing at the ground, he bent to his knees, then laid down onto the ground, and he rolled over, rubbing his neck in the soft grass, kicking his legs in the air in sheer bliss. Soon, he struck his front legs forward, and with a small grunt, got to his feet, giving himself a good shake.

Lakota trotted back to camp and laid down next to a lady, the lady was quite old, about in her mid 50's, the lady took the contents out of his basket and showed an happy and amazed expresion, she loved it when he found Truffles, she rewarded him with a sugar lump and a big long pat, and pointed towards a Thicket, her finger pointing straight at a bush with big ripe juicy Blackberrys, he nodded and headed to the bush.

Migina bounced over, and nuzzled Lakota on the shoulder.

Hakan snorted a cheerfull hello to the mare, swishing his tail in boredom.

Waya-

Waya glanced upward, seeing his good friend coming up behind him. He grinned slightly, looking over the camp, his bare chest gleaming slightly in the sunlight. Waya's long black hair was pulled back with a leather strip, and he rubbed his grimey hands on his leather pants.

Lakota nuzzled Migna back and whinnied to Hakan, saying he may come if he wished, he started to head towards the thicket where the Blackberrys were.


Chatan walked over and taged him on the back, running towards the camp.

Migina whinnied, plucking up grass and setting it on his back. She titled her head and brushed it off.

when Lakota reached the blackberry bush, he started to gently pick them of the bush and put them in his baskets on the side of him.
