The Elves of Daynite [ Pick'n'Play People Only ] Empty The Elves of Daynite [ Pick'n'Play People Only ]

The camp, of course, was merely temporary. The Elves of Daynite had been on the move for a long time now, and Lostarna Rhuitauré, known as Rhui or Arna for short, was getting very tired of wandering. They hadn’t met their goal yet. They hadn’t brought peace and honor back to the Elven race, and it was slowly beginning to seem like a hopeless cause. However, the Queen knew how to reinvigorate her “crew” and make their cause seem worthwhile again. It wasn’t really hard. Elves had a strong devotion to causes in the first place, so a few encouraging words now and again were all that was needed to keep the troops pushing on.

Now Lostarna was sitting in front of a fire she’d built only minutes before, her red hair with purple tips shined in its magnificent, magic-created light. Rhui was tired, as already started, and in all honesty, she had no idea what to do next. Life wasn’t going to be the same. The Elves of Daynite had been followed and attacked numerous times, and she’d already gotten a few wounds that were bound to leave scars. Sheathing her dagger, Rhui placed herself on a fallen tree, away from the fire, keeping herself hidden in the shadows. She had to talk to the King. This plan of theirs wasn’t going down right. But lately, Rhui found herself becoming more and more isolated, therefore making her conversations more awkward. She was sure the King noticed it, for he tended to look at her funny nowadays. Rhui sighed thickly and scanned the Elves.

Everybody looked battered and hungry. Admittedly, hunger was something that Lostarna had grown used to. She sacrificed her share of the food to others, so they wouldn’t go hungry. What was a Queen to do with starving troops? Nothing, that’s what. So, in return for their health, Rhui’s was slowly declining, but she made sure she ate something every now and again to keep herself from starving to death. Stretching her arms, Rhui dropped her gaze to her hands that overlapped one another in her lap. “This isn’t going to go anywhere, is it?”

Getting to her feet, Rhui left the small group of warriors and into the forest, to a small lake beyond, only giving the King a sly glance out of the corner of her eye, hoping he wasn’t watching her leave. Rhui, as soon as she was at the lake, sighed, and sat down on the bank, digging her toes into the sand. It would feel nice to bathe, but Rhui knew somebody would find her sooner or later, and she’d rather not be caught bathing.

(Ssh, I didn't feel like checking over while half asleep. Will change stuff if somethings wrong with it.)

Caun stood at camp the darkness loud with noises. Her eyes scanned every one before she slipped off into the woods, entering pich blackness except for the little light peering in through the opened areas of tree tops. The moon was at it fullest, shining for all to admire it's quinic beauty. Caun held her bow in her hand, arrow bag full and hanging over her shoulder. She stalked throigh the night seeking out prey. A twing snapped some where near her and her head turned as fast as a bullet leaving a gun. It was a squirrel. Quickly she amined and shot. Grabbing it and putting in with her arrows she walked on inspecting every thing with careful eyes till moments later she saw slight movement, her eyes flashed towards it spotting the out line of a young doe eating something while the moon casserade down on one of her hind legs she stepped forward and the moon lighted her face some helping out Caun with aim as the doe foolishly countied to move into the light. She held out her bow arrow attached, sweat dripped from her right before she let it soar towards the deer cutting through it's skin and through the belly, shit! She thought as the injured animal screamed in pain rumming around with the arrow through it. She aimed and shot once aging and the animal thuded to the ground dead. She felt bad about sufuring it. As caun walked towards the dead body something caight the Conner of her eye, ripped red raspberries on a bush. The same one the doe was at she thanked the elven gods and the deer and thanked them for it's life. Picking up the small doe while ho ding a bunch of berries in a pouch she snuck back entering a clearing around the lake she walked out and frozed to see the queen. Caun had gone out with no protection, this figured she hear about it. She walked around the lake stopping by her, "Your majesty I found this animal eating riped raspberries, here have some. She said putting them in a clean piece of clothe and handing them to her before walking to where the food was kept and placing everything but the nutrishios berries which she offered to some to every one and ate a few herself before placing them with all the other food. Once done she stood lost in thought, is this worth it? Are we all going to die either way? Are we endangering our loved ones more by not being with them to protect. She pushed the thoughts asied and nelt down to start her fire aging and pull her sleeping bag out to lay awake on unable to sleep with that constant thought of danger, a ambush could come from anywhere. She calmed herself thinking of the stories about how it used to be before she was even born, back when both of her parents where alive and kids.

This wasn't what he wanted to be doing. Sitting here and doing absolutely nothing. Though Bellmaethor knew they had to rest and eat, he wanted to be out and trying to stop all the bloodshed. Yes, Bell knew it would take time for peace to come to the land, but he was feeling rather impatient; probably because the journey had barely begun and nearly everybody was getting frustrated with how little they had helped anybody. Bell especially. He was the youngest out of everybody, and though he was mature for his age, he was still a child and very impatient in certain aspects. Such as this.

Looking over at the edge of camp, Bell saw Lostarna, the elf Queen leaving camp, towards the lake. Probably to bathe. Sighing, Bell brought his legs closer to his body, hugged his knees and rested his chin on them, staring at the blazing fire. He had always been fascinated by fire. The orange flames licking at the open air, the crackling and the intense heat. He knew alot about fire, but still, it was just so interesting and easily captivated him.

(Oh my gosh, I am so sorry for the lameness, but I ahve to go to bed, i'll get to Ovorion next post, promise >.< jeez I feel so lame now)

The bright yellow and pink petals of the lily flower felt like silken, delicate cloth against the elf's palms as she held it carefully, studying the webbed veins extending throughout it's skin, just beneath the thin surface. She sat cross-legged atop a large, flat boulder just outside of the camp, content to sit alone in the darkness with just the natural light of the moon to light her surroundings. With her exceptional eyesight, even at night, she could pick out the smallest detailing in the blades of the grasses, hidden amongst the shadows, up to fifty meters away from her position. But right now, all the attention of the slim woman's intense amber eyes were in the small flower she held before her. She was not currently wearing her armour, her usual attire, but rather a simple white cotton blouse, loosefitting everywhere but the waist, and cotton pants in the same shade and style. Her feet were bare, her long white hair pulled back into a loose braid that fell to the side over one shoulder, her bangs hanging free to the sides.

For a moment, the spell of silence and stillness was broken as Aireiel sighed softly, tilting her head back to look at the full moon. Licking her full red lips, she studied the glowing orb as it arced slowly across the sky. It was almost at the very center now. In less than an hour, a new day would begin anew. And Aireiel would be 360 years old; 24 years in human count.

Her gaze slid back down to the flower. She had been out here ever since the sun went down, doing her normal rounds surrounding the camp before she had been finally satisfied. Then, she had found the boulder to sit on, and she had done so quietly, for over four hours, dozing off every so often. Before she had found the closed lily bud, nestled nearby in a bush, and had used minor magic to cause it to bloom. Aireiel was silent once more, fingering the petals of the flower thoughtfully. Tomorrow, nothing would be different. Everyone would go on as though it were just a normal day, and indeed it was. She doubted anyone even remembered when her birthday was, or realized it would be tomorrow, but that was okay. She wished that she, too, could forget, but she didn't think she ever would.

Eventually, the moon was up at the top of the sky, the forest bathed in silver light and black shadows. In the clearing Aireiel sat in, the grass was a shivering mass of liquid silver and shadows in the gentle breeze. As though she were waking from a spell, which, she was, in a sense, Aireiel began to stir, relaxing her shoulders and letting go of the magic that had kept the flower's petals open. Slowly, they folded in neatly on each other, leaving just the pink ball of closed petals at the end. Still holding the flower in both hands, she unfolded her legs and slid off of the boulder, walking slowly to the bush the lily had come from. Placing it back in its place, she began to softly Wong a song in her native tongue, watching as the fibers of the plant healed and stitched back together. Once she was finished and satisfied with her work, it was as though she had never picked the flower.

She stood there a brief moment more before she began to slowly make her way back to the camp. She knew the others were probably still up; no one had gotten much sleep lately, but that was where she was currently headed, at least for a little while. She was still alert, but her entire body was physically exhausted and deprived not only of sleep, but of food recently, as well. She had not had much of an appetite lately.

Now her features were highlighted and cast into random streaks of orange light and shadows by the glow of the fires, and she spotted Bell, the other warrior, sitting beside one, and she altered her step slightly to head towards him.

Although Bell was young, he had certainly proved himself a good warrior, otherwise he wouldn't be here. Although Aireiel could get to be rather irritated with him because of his young age at some points, he was still someone she could rely on and trust, and she was glad he was here, at least a bit.
