Highschool Sweethearts [M-Open]

Charlotte nervously stood before him, half-smiling before blaming. "Alice's fault. I like I said before, t-o-r-t-u-r-e." She pecked on his cheek and smiled. "Lookin' good, Handsome." Using her native cow-girl accent. She wove her fingers through his.

Austin smiled and looked to Alice, giving her a slight grin then back to Charlotte. "Well the torture worked, you look amazing." He chuckled and sighed, at a total loss for words. (XD)

Charlotte blushed as Howard called. "Have fun! ALICE! GET HERE! NOW!" His low voice thundered from the kitchen as Alice shrugged and smiled. "I'll meet ya'll there!" With that she darted away, at an amazing speed considering she was in high heels. Charlotte gave Austin's hand a reassuring squeeze and whispered. "You look super! Total hottie one-oh-one."

Austin laughed at Howard's yells and rolled his eyes as Alicd walked away and look back to Charlotte. He smiled and gave her a quick kiss "Thank you Chocolate" he chuckled his old nickname for her. Then he nodded towards the door "Shall we go?"

Austin smiled and opened ther door for her. He said sadly, but with a smile "You'll have a piece of me even after you leave."

She looked up, smiling. "Always. And I'll track you down, don't you worry." With that she walked through the door, nodding her thanks. She waited patiently for him at the gate, half-smiling. She looked like some sort of goddess, and didn't know.

Austin smiled at her words, adding in his mind I'll make sure we see each other again. Then he turned and closed the door, when he turned around again he stopped in his tracks at her beauty. She looked like a goddess! The sunset behind her and and beauty of her herself mesmerized him. Then he caught himself gawking and shook it off. He jogged over to the gate and opened it for her, never taking his eyes off her.

Charlotte peeked up at him jogging towards her. He was so handsome! The light and everything made him seem like some sort of forgotten god. When he opened the gate she walked through, smiling. "Thank you." She was nervous about the party/prom. She'd never done anything like this (except barn dances).

Austin flashed her a charming smile and closed the gate behind him. Then he, once again, opened the passenger door for her. He noticed her nervousness and chuckled "Nervous?"

Charlotte slid into the seat easily and nodded. "Yea." Her light eyebrows screwed up slightly over her anxious blue eyes, her mouth pursed slightly. She put her seat belt on, watching the driver's seat expectantly. She felt her heart stop as he smiled.

Austin shut her door and jogged around to his seat. He slid in and turned the keys, the engine roaring to life. He laid his hand on the clove box, to where she could hold it if she wished. He pulled out onto the road and started for the school.

Charlotte put her hand on his, getting some reassurance from his steady touch. She sighed, closing her eyes as her thumb rubbed circles on his knuckles. She whispered. "I really do love you, Austin, and I'd do anything in my power for you."

Austin looked over at her and smiled again "I love you too, and you know I'd do the same for you." He leaned over giving her a quick kiss before looking back to the road, giving her hand a light squeeze.

She squeezed it back, smiling as he kissed her. She could see the school now and her stomach twisted in knots. She looked at him and smiled. "Show time. Let's go show everyone how hot you look."

Austin laughed as he pulled into the parking lot,  "I look nothing compared to you." He put the truck in park and turned it off. He jumped out, straightened his jacket then walked to her side and opened the door for her.

"Then your half blind." She concluded cheerily, thanking him for opening her door. She stood willingly by his side, and she had let him have her full trust. So now she stood, with him at prom, knowing she'd leave in a few weeks. Her hand rose to brush his cheek, ehr fingertips caressing softly. She felt a strange feeling in her gut, but not a bad one.

Austin looked into her eyes, getting lost in their depth. He slowly placed both of his hands of her waist and pulled her slightly closer, leaned down and kissed her gently.

Charlotte closed her eyes half-way, kissing him back. She then growled under his lips. As Charlotte already had four certificates in equine and canine behaviour, she really could growl. "We best get in there before it ends." She pulled gently away, unwrapping his arms from around her waist. She kept one hand, linking her arm through his.

Austin smiled as she growled and took his hands from her waist. Then he chuckled "Why yes m'lady, we should!" he laughed and linked her arm with his and began walking to the doors.

(Yep yep! *Puts gas mask on*)

Charlotte laughed. The sound itself was small and happy, a small wind chime-like sound. She followed him and as they reached the door she smiled. "Lock and load. There's no way back now." And she opened the doors.

Austin chuckled at her beautiful laugh and comment "No kidding, it's like walking into a pit of vipers." He joked around and walked in with Charlotte, music filing his ears quickly.

((AH!!  *Puts hazmat suit on*))

Charlotte nodded and half-smiled, her lips pulling up at one side in a smirk-y sort of way. Music quickly filled her ears as she walked through, extremely close to Austin. She watched him carefully out of the corner of her eye, making sure he wouldn't disappear like a summer breeze. That was her only fear. Losing him. To anyone she appeared calm and strong, inside she was near-broken. But as the music filled her up (As she adored music) and the warm welcomes, gasps and compliments of her classmates distracted her, she found herself calming, almost forming a trance.

Austin grinned at their classmates gasps and compliments, but kept a eye on Charlotte. He moved him arm from her arm to her waist, keeping her close. He wouldn't let her disappear until she left at the end of summer. But this summer, it was theirs. He smiled and nodded to all his classmates and looked at the party. There were people being absolutely crazy, some sitting out, and a couple people where at the snack table chowing down. He whispered into Charlottes ear softly "Yep, a real big snake pit."

She whispered back. "Biggest I've seen." She then laughed again, like he'd told a joke. A good one. With that the music slowed into her favourite song and she asked. "Care for a dance, Austin?" She smiled, feeling at complete ease and happy to be with him. They had her house all to their selves this summer. Her parents had already moved, only Howard had stayed. She faced him, her wide blue eyes sparkling with the moonlight, blonde hair rippling down her back in cascades of golden locks, her pink lips turned up into a serene smile.
