Stormsong the Lone Wolf (PG-13)

Twilight moaned softly as Justin went faster. She froze when she saw her parents and slid out from under him. "Erm. Hi Mom...."

Tigerstar was basically lost for words.

Justin whined. He knew that Stormsong was always a bit hostile to him and Twilight being together.

(No she wasn't. She liked Justin and Twilight together, but this however.......)

Stormsong's pelt bristled. "What do you think you're doing!?"

Justin whimpered and scurried away.

Stromsong shook her head and paced back and forth. Unable to hold it in any longer she threw up her head and howled.

Justin ran. He wouldn't risk being banished from seeing Twilight ever again.

Twilight tucked her tail in between her legs. Tears came to her eyes, she wanted to chase after Justin but she als didn't want to face the wrath of her mother. "Dad," she cried.

Tigerstar laid down and nuzzled his daughter. "Don't worry. I'll find Justin." Tigerstar promised as he heard thunder.

Stormsong lowered her head, her howl complete. She stared at her family. She didn't understand why they were acting this way towards her. She whined and ran off towards the waterfall.

At the waterfall was Loki and Misty, their bodies pressed together warmly.

Justin peeked over from his hiding spot to see Stormsong go. "Is the coast clear?" He asked. Tigerstar nodded.

Stormsong lowered her head to the ground. She took no notice of Misty and Loki. She collasped on the ground and sobbed.

Tigerstar ran over and covered Stormsong with licks. "Hey, hey, hey. What's wrong?" Tigerstar whimpered.

"Why are our pups acting this way?" she asked.

"Because you're scaring them, Stormsong." Tigerstar replied, nuzzling her neck.

"I don't mean to. I'm just looking out for them." She buried her face in his chest.

"I know. But you have to realize our pups are a year and a half, and not our babies anymore." Tigerstar replied, resting his chin on her forehead.

"What should I do then?" she asked. "Should I let them have pups when they are still so young?"

"Well you cant send the pups away. Take us for an example." Tigestar said. "We had pups when we were two years old. You were nervous when you found out you were pregnant."

She sighed, "Yes, I remember. So we should let them find out for themselves?"

"They're going to be fine. Besides, we have more pups coming along soon." Tigerstar replied, licking her belly.

She smiled. "Maybe I'll do better with these."

"Oh, no you'll never be better at parenting." Tigerstar joked, although it accidentally came out more as an insult. 'Tigerstar you IDIOT!' He thought.

"What?" tears came to her eyes. "Why would you say something like that?"

Tigerstar whined. "I didn't mean it like that. I was only kidding." Tigerstar tried. But the tears and flare he saw in Stormsong's eyes didn't make it look like she believed him.

She whined and curled up closer to him. "Am I really that bad of a mother?"
