I cried out,"Let go!" I screamed as I kicked with my legs trying to dislodge them. "I am not going back to her." I said yelling. I dug at the earth so it would be harder for them to drag me. I kicked on in the head and the other I hit with a branch, I ran and climbed over the fence and laughed when they couldn't get over it but soon began to run, it hurt but I wasn't going to stop until I was away

The dogs snarled and tore at the fencing trying to get at him.

I couldn't go any further as I was panting hard with pain and fatigue. I sat down against a tree waiting for them to come and drag me back and probably beat me

A small figure appeared in the distance. She drew closer and closer until she stood right in front of him. It was the little girl and she held Icefire's and Dusk's leashes. The dog's were calm as turtles now. The girl leaned down and took his hand. "Come on mister," she said, her voice holding innocence.

"Don't touch me." I said walking ahead of her some what limping

She padded up to him and took his hand. She tugged gently. "Come on."

"I saiddon't touch me." I said as i moved away from her

Tears came to the little girl's eyes. "Please. She'll beat me if I don't bring you back."

I rolled my eyes and let her touch me,"Don't try anything." I said nodding

She hugged his leg and whiped her tears away. "Thank you." Icefire whined and licked the girl's face. She patted the dog's head and tugged on Max's hand. "Come on then."

I followed her. I looked to her,"How old are you?" i asked

She blinked up at him. "Nine."

"You should be in school making friends and having a good life. What the heck are you doing here?" I asked as I looked cautiously at that dog that had attacked me,"I'll get you dog one day." I said to it giving it a good glare before I continued to walk behind her as I didn't trust her to walk behind me as I didn't know if she'd kill me by that ladies orders as she was crazy and such.

"I am the Lady's servant. I take care of her dogs and trained them," the girl said simply. "You don't have to be afraid of them, they won't attack unless me or the Missus tells them to. But they usually listen to me."

"I don't care, you should be in school. And I will get my pay back on those beasts." I said to her as we got to the steps. I looked at the door expecting her to come yelling at me and hitting me or something, I just wasn't in the mood to listen to her bitching right now. I sat on the steps needing a break before I pass out from the fatigue and pain.

The girl wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. "Thank you for coming back."

"Why are you thanking me?" I asked looking at her confused with what she said.

"Because now she won't beat me." She pulled away and padded up the stairs, the dogs trailing behind her.
