"We'll run away with your sister and Martha and who ever wants to leave, we can go to my fathers home he built for me." I said nodding as I'd protect her and we'd take Dusk with us since he like barely left Abby's side since IceFire

"What if she finds us?" Her eyes started to fill with tears. Abbey walked into the room, rubbing her eyes. "Max, I had a bad dream," she said. Dusk padded in behind her and whined.

"It is across the sea." I said kissing her forehead before I got up. I picked Abby up and headed for my room as I didn't think Lila would want her baby sister to see her naked let alone possibly pregnant from me. I put us to bed with Dusk at the end of the bed and curled around her,"Shh, sleep little one." I said kissing her head as I stroked her hair

She curled up beside him and buried her face in his chest. "The monsters were scary Max. They looked just like real people." She shuddered and stuck her thumb in her mouth.

"I won't let them have you Abby." I said gently tightening my grip on her so she felt comforted

She grunted and squirmed in his grip. He was squeezing her sore back.

I quickly let go of her,"Sorry." I said letting go of her

She gripped his shirt and snuggled closer. Her eyes soon began to droop and she drifted off to sleep.

I smiled down at her as I soon followed but giving Dusk the boot off of the bed

Dusk whined and put his head on the edge and gave him the dog face.

"Oh hurry up you dang dog." I said patting behind me for him to lay as my feet were where he was before

He leapt onto the bed and curled up behind him. He went back to sleep.

I ran my fingers through his long shaggy hair,"You need a hair cut." I said to him

He growled softly at him. Abbey groaned and shuffled around in her sleep.

I hit his nose,"No." I said putting my arms back around Abby

He growled and nipped his arm.

I turned around looking him in the face,"Bad dog." I said taking his muzzle in my hand

Dusk pulled away and climbed over him. He curled up beside Abbey. She entwined her fingers in his fur and sighed.

I wanted to push him off but Abby would go with him. I sighed and got off of the bed heading for mine

Dusk looked at him with laughter dancing across his eyes. Abbey whimpered and snuggled against her dog.

I slept in my bed but barely getting any sleep as I didn't want to sleep at the moment
