Trapped and Cold

Maple trotted around the pen, she had been captured by the human less than 10 minutes ago. She threw her head up and skidded to a halt What did these humans want with her and the other horses. She glanced across the pen to see a young colt, cold and shivering in the empty corner. An orphan, she walked over and lowered her head to him " Hello there little one, stay with me..I'll take care of you."

She lay down and he lay next to her, he had been weaned but only just, he was still frail. " What is your name ? " she asked. "Thorn." he answered..

" Well then Thorn, I promise to protect you and if anyone asks you, you are now my son" she nuzzled him and he smiled

He will be a humans horse. His name is Dallas.

The First one


Dallas looked out at the foal and mare from the hitching post he was tied at. The foal was rather handsome, with the kiger stripes (Or atleast that is what I call them) and a beautiful coat. He didn't know the fate of the mare, but the foal he had a pretty good idea.

A human came and removed his saddle, letting a stable hand take it. A halter was put on, and the bridle removed. While he was being led by their pen, he tossed his head. "You'll like it here!" And then he was gone.

The barn was full of unique looking horses, appaloosa's and such.

Maple instinctively stepped in front of Thorn, she was already attached to him. She nickered loudly saying " I doubt that " before he was gone. The young colt was unsure about everything apart from Maple being his new mum.
