A Life with no fun.....Well Maybe.(LoveOnHerArms) 10
Kyoko

The warm comforting breeze swept across the cliff as Kyoko dangled her legs, feeling the last of the warm summer sunsets. Her eyes looked toward the city far from her, the wing-less creatures stuck to the ground, and there machines. "Meh." She said softly, slowly getting up. She gave a light yawn as she felt the suns warmth, making her sad of autumns advance. She slowly spread out her wings, stretching them from the tucked position they were in for an entire day. As soon as she flapped the tips, she felt a cramp on the tip of her right wing. "Ow!" She glanced at it, the muscles under the skin jerking. She clenched her fists, then started flapping the tip. The pain seemed to melt away, as she gave a big sigh of relief, then tested them again.
The sun was now beginning to become red, as it was beginning to become darker in the sky. Her Maroon wings were hit with sunlight, giving them a brown look. The Dark red tips seemed to blaze, becoming even more visible. She arched her wings, giving a short flap. She felt her feet begin to lift as she then laid her wings out flat, then took a thermal. The warm heat soothed the aches in her wings from being kept in so tight. Once she felt she was ready, she gave a long flap and darted out of the thermal, feeling the air sweep her long red hair. She gained speed as she rose to the clouds, the sun still bright. She hovered high above the city, staring at the skyscrapers that were just below her. As she looked around her she heard a loud crackle of thunder, which made her jump. She quickly regained balance as she looked at what disturbed her peaceful atmosphere. Dark clouds were coming quickly over the horizon, a blast of cold wind with it.

She felt the wind slam against her wings, disrupting her balance. She already knew to stay away from storms, especially at a height like hers. She quickly turned around towards the storm, feeling adrenaline as she flapped her wings faster, with more urgency. Her wings quickly flapped faster, becoming a red flash in the sky. Her wings quickly met the winds from the storm as she felt the resistance, but powered through it with ease. She made it back to her cliff were just minutes before, she was comfortable and drowsy. She landed on her feet and took off in a fast run, tucking her wings in as she felt them tug back uncomfortably.
A flash of lightning came from the sky, followed with a ear-splitting crackle. She whimpered quietly as she saw Pine trees with tall redwoods, and quickly took out her wings. She laid them flat as raid started to drop, quickly turning into heavy drops. She quickly became airborne and flew towards the nearest tree, then felt a strong push of air from behind her. She wailed her arms out and screamed, feeling sharp branches dig into her wings. She grabbed onto a branch, grimacing at the cuts and blood all over her arms and legs.
Her wings were chopped up, large slashes on both sides. She climbed slowly on the thick branch, easily finding her balance and letting the tree act as a windbreak. She opened them up as much as she could without causing too much damage, then breathed a sigh of relief. Her wings were soaked with rain and blood, and a trail of feathers. She quickly checked on them, pulling out sharp branches and splinters. The wind began to pick up, tearing leafs and branches. She tucked her wings back in, feeling objects by her legs. She felt herself begin to shiver, closing her eyes and trying to fall asleep. The leafs above her were starting to pour water on her, but she did her best to ignore it.
