Save a Horse & Ride a Cowboy [M-Open]

I smiled and sat watching her cook. "Thanks" I said taking my plate gently. I picked up my half and took a big bite out of it "That's delicious!" I said, taking another bite.

I watched him eat, tossing him a fork. "We're civilized people here in the south." I said. Then I softened up,"Thanks, but you should taste my mothers..."

I sighed "I didn't know if you had any forks." I took it and cut up my steak, eating it fairly quickly. I nodded, family not something I was comfortable talking about.

I looked at him,"Slow down Bud! That's all we get for a while!" I ate my steak slowly, watching him.

I laughed "I'm just hungry." Then I took my plate, using a rock to scrape off the leftovers and laid back, my head on my saddle.

I finished eating, and laid out my blanket next to him. It was gonna be cold tonight, I knew that for sure.I laid my head on my saddle, and looked at him. "How old are you?" I asked curiously.

I rolled on my side, my arm draping over my side over my injury. "Twenty-five." I said, then asked right back "May I ask how old you are?"

I looked at him in astonishment,"Twenty five! You don't look that old!" Then I rolled my eyes at his question,"I just turned 20 a week ago..."

I chuckled "Why thank you, and you look only around 18 truthfully." I said, holding back a yawn.

"Thanks", I mumbled. I laid back, and rubbed my head against the saddle horn. "Tell me 'bout your self?"

I sighed and shrugged "Not much to tell, I've grown up with a abusive father and my mother died when I was born. Then I ran away."

I instantly got sad, and wanted desperately to hug him. ,"I'm sorry! I lost my mom to... She died last year on my birthday.." I said coughing to keep from crying.

I nodded, barely keeping my eyes from watering. I slightly opened my arms for her to hug me, but not to much so she thought she had too.

I smiled, and hugged him lightly. Then I pulled away from him, and wiped my eyes.

I sighed as she hugged me, that comforting me a lot. I used my thumb and gently wiped away a tear on her cheek.

I smiled as he brushed tear from my cheek. I looked up at the moon above us, and heard a coyote yap in the distance. I laughed a little, but suddenly felt really alone.

I yawned and the sighed "Well I'm gonna get some sleep." I slowly laid back onto my back and slowly closed my eyes to go to sleep.

I watched him, and lay back myself. "Yeah, tomorrow's gonna be a long day!" I said. Then I lay back. I couldn't sleep, but I must have dozed off a little, because when I woke, I was curled around Aaron.

When I awoke my arms were around May but I figured she was still asleep so I started slipping my arm off of her.

I loved feeling his arms around me, but I felt him slipping off. I quickly grabbed his arms, pretending I was still asleep.

I stopped as I felt her grabbing my arm. I smiled and put it back where it was and laid there, silence covering the air except their steady breathing.

I smiled happily, enjoying his warmth. If I could have purred, I would have.

I smiled, adoring the warmth of her against me, making the pain in my chest subside.

After around 10 minutes I got up, pulling myself from him. I pushed his shoulder trying to wake him. "We had better get going..."

I got up as she pushed my shoulder "Yeah..." I said, not gonna bring up what had just been happening.
