I smiled at her then gently took one of our sons from her, looking down at the little bundle of joy. Then I looked over at the other baby and smiled. "They're amazing." I said, feeling happy tears well up in my eyes.

"Yeah until they have to take over for you." I said getting up and putting James in his crib and going into the bathroom and shutting/locking the door behind me

Asuka

"Well, I might like it when they take over. Being the leader of a whole entire race is harder than you think." I replied, watching as she walked into the bathroom.

"Your rather have one of your sons killed just because you would like them to take over? Well that's not happening Asuka. If you want to risk your life go ahead, I can't stop you. But I'm not going to let you put one of our sons foot in the grave." I said

Asuka

I looked at her in shock. "That's not what I was saying. Of course I don't want one of our sons to be killed. But one day one of them will have to take over. It's a fact that I am faced to deal with. It's something I don't want to face but it's necessary." I replied, hoping she would understand.

"Then find some other chick that's stupid enough to let you do that because I'm not going to let you kill our sons." I said pushing a button to call the nurse to escort him out of my room.

Asuka

"I won't kill them. I'll train them so they'll be prepared to lead, but I won't kill them." I replied, seeing her push a button on her bed.

"Your not going to do that Asuka." I said looking away from him and pulling my sons closer to me. Not trusting their father

Asuka

I sighed and said, "Only when they get older. And it won't be fighting technics, it will be showing them what to do in certain situations and how to handle things. But I won't hurt them."

"Are you not hearing me clearly? They are not going to take your place, they are going to grow up being normal children. Find someone else to take your place." I said getting very angry and annoyed with him right now

Asuka

I sighed and ran a hand thru my hair. "If you don't want one of them to take my place, that's fine. I won't force it. But they are shifters, they're going to have to learn how to control their shifting." I replied, hoping she would understand.

"Then teach them how to control it. If one day one of them want to take your place then so be it but until then they will have a normal life." I said rolling onto my side and going to bed

Asuka

"Please don't be mad with me." I replied, walking over to her.

"Don't touch me, just go away. I'm going to take a nap." I said as I shut my eyes and slowly went to sleep and slept like a rock. I was so tired still from giving birth even though it was yesterday that I had given birth

Asuka

I nodded and sat in a chair and stared at the ceiling.

I felt lonely and got out of bed and climbed onto Asuka's lap. I curled up into his lap and pulled up a blanket and fell asleep with my face against his neck as I breathed in his scent

I felt someone climb onto my lap and I looked down and saw my mate curled up on my lap. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her, burying my nose in her hair to take in her scent.

I put a hand on his cheek and kissed his neck. I stroked his face, "Hi." I said softly into his ear so I didn't hurt his sensitive ears

Asuka

I smiled and gently kissed her. "Hello." I replied.

I nuzzled him. "I'm just afraid something will happen to them if they take your place. I don't want to lose one of our boys Asuka." I said as a tear escaped from my right eye. "I don't want to watch as someone buries our boys." I said gripping his shirt

Asuka

"I feel the same way. But are you really okay with me...having sex with another girl so I can have an heir?" I replied, looking down at her.

My eyes widened and I got off of him. I swear if it could happen there would be smoke coming from my ears and nostrils. Tears filled my eyes, "Go away, I'm not your mate. Leave." I said as I felt my heart ripping apart and it was painful. So he'd rather make some other woman pregnant just because I didn't want my sons to get hurt or killed. How dare he!

Asuka

My eyes widened at her reaction, realizing what she had thought I meant by that. "No! That's not what I meant! I'd never do it with another girl if you weren't okay with it. So if I have to loose my position as leader because neither of us don't want our sons to get hurt or killed, then that's okay with me. I'd rather live knowing that you and our sons are okay and safe than have to worry about you all being in danger. Please, try to understand. I'll step down from leader if I have to." I pleaded with her, jumping up and grabbing her hand.

"Let go of me! Go find some other girl to lie to and mate with." I said pushing at his chest and I guess having adrenaline pumping through you could make you at least some what stronger as I pushed him good away from me. "Go find some girl that would rather have some male so selfish in trying to make a heir to replace him than fall in love with a real man." I said throwing the ring he had given me and I pushed a button and the nurse had security take him out of the room since he had made me very upset
