The worlds end....(Mature? Reserved)

The world had ended now, the greatest city ever known was in ruins, the once marvellous lights and skyscrapers were gone forever and the cluttered streets of the city were broken and its falling building lay there. Old cars had rusted and the odd plants were beginning to regrow now.
Everything was silent and it seemed as if no one was here.
But truly among everything there was one person, this world was at its end and everything destroyed but she remained in the place she had been born and learned everything she needed to help keep herself and other people alive, despite not being a leader by nature she would step up if need be.

This girl was named Ren; she was 16 years old and was not someone who gave up. She was slender and had slightly pale skin compared to most, her mismatched eyes of emerald green and crystal blue were always focused and she always kept her long, rich brown hair tied back with a black ribbon as she wore her black faded jeans and long sleeved top which had a black body and collar but had white sleeves as well as wearing her usual pair of black trainers. Around her waist was a belt which held a pouch of bullets, two holsters which held her silver twin guns with a black ivy pattern engraved on them and beneath the holsters hidden carefully were a pair of sheaths with silver twin daggers in them. Both the twin guns and the silver twin daggers were connected to their twin by a silver chain which ran behind her once they were put away in their sheaths and holsters.

She walked around in silence looking for anyone; anything that remained there and held her silence while her curious mismatched eyes searched the area after two years she still searched for others to pass the time as she searched for what she would be eating that day knowing where everything was, the best water source, food sources and even where to find some clothes if need be.
After two years of this she should know those things at least.
She knew a lot now and had seen every creature in this place well most of them and their population had increased quickly over two years. Her Twin guns and daggers were nothing special but they got the job done and held sentimental value as did her rusted silver Locket which lay around her neck. It could no long be opened but it kept her going through the two years.

She heard something and turned heading towards the sound and clambered up a fallen beam and jumped down into an old room and looked around it keeping a hand near one of her guns. The chains of her daggers and guns rattled lightly as she jumped down and stayed quiet.
But you see it wasn't the guns that were specail or the daggers but the bullets and the edged of the blades were very strong and her parents made them for her and taught her how to restore them with scrap bits of metal. She moved quickly not knowing what was there. both her gusn were loaded and she kept herself as quiet as she could.

Ren turned her head hearing a voice; she walked a little towards it “Hey there, you actually alive?” she asked touching his cheek as if to confirm it. “Warm…” she said “Are you ok?” she asked softly keeping her voice hushed. She looked at him a little “What’s your name?”. she moved bits of hair from her mismatched eyes, the stray strands of dark brown hair annoying her a little. Her ponytail reached all the way down her back.“If you like, you can come to my camp for the night, it might be nice to have some company for once, I’m Ren, you going to tell me your name stranger?” she said still being careful about not speaking too loud, she knew of the dangers all too well now, she had a few scars but nothing very noticeable, plus some said she had the devils luck and it did seem that way at times.She waited a little for his answers. Her camp for that night was in the old library under some fallen bookshelves, nothing, no one would find her there, seh always moved each ngith she slept somewhere new to keep hidden from the beasts that hunted adn killed each other every night, their grusome cries and blood curtling roars echoed all over, she too had been searching around this city for life, this was the first tiem she had actually found anyone. "How long have you been here? I've searched this area before" she said "where did you come from?"

She smiled a little, he seemed rather shy. “Not many people are around here and how did you get here from Nebraska, that’s a pretty long way away, several miles I should think” she said rather surprised. “Sorry if I’m talking too much, I haven’t seen anyone in quite some time either, two years actually and nice to meet you Fang” she said looking up a little as he stood up, she lowered herself a little to look himin the eye "You ok?" she asked.
She lead the way to the camp she had set up clambering over some old fallen bits of scaffolding and walking carefully over glass, before they got to the library, it was certainly old, the books were even older with yellow tinted gold yellow pages.“Sorry, there’s only really me here, I’ve been searching for others but no luck, whatever they did it caused disaster, I’ll tell you that” she said she pulled out some tinfoil from her pouch and tossed it lightly onto the fire to cook a small little pan rested over it. She found the water bottle and offered him some, she was just glad to have another person here; it was company none the less; although she would have to find the spare blanket now.
She searched a little pulling it from under a pile of books ith her own usual blanket under another pile guessing they must've fallen while she was out. "Must've fallen when I was out" she muttered giving him the blanket since it was still rather cold even inside.

Ren settled down pulling the blanket over her lap and sipped some water from another tin cup. She heard him murmuring and smiled a little before noticing him looking at her and turned away suddenly embarrassed not really sure why, but still, she turned her head away still glancing over. Her emerald green and crystal blue mismatched eyes looking to him a little. Things seemed to have gotten a little awkward. “Ummm… you saying you walked from there? that is quite something” she said rustling her hair bits of hair falling over her face once more.

She shuffled slightly trying to think of something to break the somewhat awkward silence. She sighed unable to think of anything she pulled her twin guns and daggers out resting them beside the small camp fire. She began to clean out her two guns, they were lighter than most, but just as effective. She leaned back a little against one of the fallen bookshelves, they were locked together so they wouldn’t collapse on top of them at least.

"Yeah, don'tknock them, they'll fall otherwise, but it's the best shelter I could find for the night" she said noticing it was quite cramped in this place.She laughed a little seeing him scowle himself, "You remind me of an old freind I had in school, he was increidbly shy, barely spoke, but was the sweetest guy I ever knew" she said smiling to herself. "Anyway Fang, did you bring anything with you, that way we can keep track of something and we'll know if we've lost anything." In her pouch was a book in which she wrote everything she had in it, checking she had everything before she dared to move out from her shelter for the night. "Too bad, we'll be parting ways tomorrow..." she muttered to herself a little upset by it, eh really was alot like an old freind of hers in which she had a crush on, but he died in the event that caused all this and she knew he was dead because it happened when they were at school and she was beside him.

She shook ehr head a little and went back to cleaning her guns before she peiced them back together and put them in their holsters undoing them from around her waist along with her pouch before she lay back a bit in order to get comfortable before she had to sleep, it was freezing in the winter she tugged the blanket over herself more, tired from the long day.

She fell asleep swiftly, the night seemed quiet for once, usually some of those mutated monsters were hunting or fighting each other but it seemed quiet. But that was until there was a huge racket, Ren sat up knocking him a little she froze almsot instantly. Infront of her was a huge mutated carnivour, it would tear them to shreds. She tried remining still, aprt from ehr hand which slowly reached for her gun, she was careful, so careful.
It roared and tried biting at her. "Fang, wake up" she said quickly and nudged him to get him to wake up "But remain calm" she added. She gripped his top a little making sure he didn't panic her eyes fixed on the beast infront fo her. She hoped to god it would just go away.

(you can paly the strange animal as well, basically it's a mutated animal, of any kind, that can eat them and harm them)

Ren had frozen to the spot carefully pulling her gun closer watching every movement and falling back when it swiped its claws at her. She too started to back off with him trying not to show how scared she was. She tossed something on the fire, in hopes it would work. The beast roared and screeched. “That didn’t go too well” she whispered. Backing up once moving her arm back she made him fall back to avoid the slashing claws “sorry” she mouthed to him. Once th beast fled she sighed relieved tiredness swiftly taking over she still gripped his sleeve in on of her hands though having done so out of fear beforehand.

She was soon asleep and moaned a little curling up tighter and gripping his sleeve tightly as well. She truly did not wish for him to go, he had been the only company she had had in 2 years. She whimpered a little tears falling at the thought of him leaving having got rather attached already. Throughout the rest of the night she kept a hold of his sleeve, she didn't wake up until the late morning still not having let his sleeve go she blushed a little "S-Sorry" she said and looked to him. She plucked up enough courage to ask "Do you want to leave?" she looked away to hide her blush for asking him. She waited in silecne for his reply, scared he'd want to leaveand then jerked letting go of his sleeve.

She looked up to him still lying on her side and groaned lightly as she slowly proped herself up after asking the question, bits of her long brown hair falling over her face again. She saw him wince and jerked "you hurt?" she asked swiftly looking rather concerned but smiled a little at what he had said before and shook her head at his quesiton. She didn't want to alone again, it was frightening in such a world on your own. "No, It's a frightening world and I missed the company of another person" she said and touched his cheek as if check his was still alive, making sure none of this was a dream still. She was still finding it hard to beilive there was another human being, after so long she had found someone.

She looked to him as he pulled her to her feet and tripped while acting as prince charming making her blush a little. She stopped herself completely from falling ontop of him and looked down to him and laughed "Shesh, if your going to play Prince Charming, don't fall over, Fang" she said and tapped his nose before moving off him and brushing herself off before he stood up as well. "Yeah, it happens... certaintly suits the mood as well" she laughed and stretched her arms up above her head before he put her guns and daggers back around her waist along with the pouch deciding on what they should do while she made them something to eat, it was pretty much rations but it was better than nothing. "Here.." she said giving him his share of them before she ate her own sitting down cross legged after she had tied her hair back, the ponytail falling right down her back.

She looked to him a little form the corner of her eye, she wasn’t very good when it came to emotions, after all it had been two years since she’d really had to worry about them too much with nobody there with her, but now someone was there. She felt a little nervous around him, like she had butterflies in her stomach but just shook it off. She had grown attached to him awfully quickly,
After two and half days she had slowly developed a bit of a crush, but wouldn’t dare say or rather she didn’t know how to, something she could puzzle herself over for the next day or two.

“Same as usual, we have to keep moving otherwise we’ll get found, neither of us want that, plus those things creep me out, why have anything in mind?” she asked. She stretched her arms above her head before she too stood up. She gave a yawn and moved bits of stray hairs from her mismatched eyes “You ready?” she asked him lowering her body in her usual manner to look up at him, straight into his eyes and smiled. "Coming or shall I leave you behind, Fang?" she asked jokingly his name rolling off her tounge in a playful tone.

“Ah, good point, we can stay there for a little the beasts are so big they rarely ever go there, also there could be some food there too” she said nodding a little at what he said afterwards. She watched him a little before she walked outside appearing beside him with a smile “Well lead the way Fang” she said, tempted to tease him a little but didn’t. Once they were there she searched around a little finding some fresh water from some falls she smiled “Perfect, we can wash off here as well” she said running her hands under the cold falling water. She then just kneeled down to the side and cupped the water in her hands sipping at it, she smiled glad to feel the fresh water going down her throat. “We are staying here for a few days that’s for sure, seems a lot nicer than the city” she said “What a great idea” she said and stood up pecking his cheek.

Ren looked to him smiling a little when she saw him blushing and laughed. “Aww how cute” she said as he grabbed her hand lightly. She blushed a little when he took his top off and jumped in. “Shesh, I’m coming” she said taking her guns, daggers and pouch off before she jumped in. “and what do you mean good idea too? What did you have in mind?” she asked raising and eyebrow at him. She soon dived under splashing him. She came back up and laughed “oh come on slow coach, you can’t catch me” she said clambering onto a rock and sitting there kicking water up and watching.

She then jumped off, or rather slipped off getting a sudden shock when she leaned back getting hit by the falls alnding in the water with a splash before she came up gasping for air and laughed a little.
