Starlight's Quest. (Willz)

"Thank you, Ridge." I said and started to eat happily. "Ridge, you marked them last night. There's no need to do it so soon." I said plainly.

Ridge let his tail wag a little. "I know," he said. "I just want to make sure..."

I rolled my eyes, and playfully pinned him to the ground. "Fae's RULE." I growled mockingly, my tail swishing.

I growled playfully and pushed her off. "Are you thirsty?" I asked, sniffing at the pups, then at her.

"No, I'm fine." I replied, and repined him, this time putting a good amount of strength in my force.

He growled softly and pushed her off, and pinned her.

Being stronger, I rolled up and put him in a pin, this time holding him down with my front paws, my back feet planting him firmly on the ground. "You know who's dominant." I growled jokingly.

Ridge wanted to be dominant. He pushed against her belly, careful not to hurt her, and shoved her off. Quick as a flash, he pinned her down, placing one hind leg on her tail and the other firmly against the ground. With his forepaws, he placed them firmly on her chest. "Who's dominant now?" he teased.

Biting his muzzle tightly, I kicked up my hind legs and rolled him into a pin, holding down his shoulders and having my back paws planted him forcefully. He would never be able to get out of this pin. "I am." I growled teasingly.

Growling, he pulled his hind legs free and kicked out her hind legs. She fell on him, and he pushed her off and jumped on top of her, pinning her shoulders to the ground and planting his hind legs on her splayed out fronts. "Got you," he said.

This time Ridge hurt me. Snarling at him, I whipped my paw across his muzzle and pushed him off and pinned him, full force. I growled, my ears laced back.

Ridge snarled at her, and tried to push her off. He kicked her out gently, not enough to hurt her, and darted off. "I'm leaving," he hissed, and left the den, tail twitching with anger.

When he announced that, my heart shattered into billions of pieces. "Me and my stupid temper!" I snarled to myself, and clawed the wall. Collapsing on the ground, I put a forepaw over my muzzle and cried. "I hate my life. I hate what I've done." I cried. 'No. He hurt you, Starlight!' I thought, my green eyes still beaming.

Ridge came back and rushed to his mate. "What's wrong?" he asked, licking the tears from her face.

(I'll be afk for a while. Favorite TV show is about to come up )

I glared at him with ice cold eyes. "I thought you were leaving!" I snapped, tears still falling, I turned my back on him. "It hurts to hear you say you'll leave me. ESPECIALLY right after I have had pups." I hissed, my tail curled around the puppies, my back still turned to him.

I looked at her, growing softly. "The only reason I leave is because you treat me this way," I spat. "You treat me like a toy. You boss me around and toy with me. Well, I've had it." I stalked to the back of the den and collapsed.

"Ridge. You have to understand that its not my fault the way I was born... I only joke around with you. What I was born with is not my fault." I growled back, trying to hold back tears. "And you hurt me Ridge. That's why I snapped at you like that." I added, and stepped out into the pouring rain, padding off.

Bump?

Ridge howled after her, "Joke! What do you mean, joke?" He ran after her, teeth bared. "Don't leave the pups! They need you!"

I stopped in my tracks and looked back. "I'm going to get water, Ridge. Keep your tail on." I growled, and continued on to the river in the rain. As I lapped up water, I listened to the sounds around me until I was knocked out by a bobcat. I yelped loudly, and then lay still.

Ridge looked at his pups, and then pricked his ears at the sound of a yelp. He quickly covered the pups with leaves and then raced to Starlight's aid. He jumped on the bobcat's back, knocking it into the river. He then jumped back at Starlight and gripped her scruff. Carefully, he began to drag his mate's body back to their den.

My heart was beating, thankfully. But I might be out for some time.

He lay her at the center of the den. Smelling milk, the pups stumbled out of the shade of the leaves and attacked Starlight, suckling.

(You have got to be kidding me! That's what, 3 or 4 times now? -_-)

I felt suckling, and I opened my eyes to see the pups and Ridge. I winced at the pain.
