Starlight's Quest. (Willz)

I narrowed my eyes. "I have to," I said. "We have pups now, and pretty soon, we'll have a territory to defend." I licked her chin. "I can't be soft forever," I added, teasingly.

I smiled. "Says the one that cant take down a Fae younger and smaller than you." I teased, with a mocking growl.

I rolled my eyes and focused on the four pups suckling Starlight. "What are their names?" I asked, mystified by their small and wriggling bodies.

(There are only 2 of them. xD)

"Well, I was thinking..." I started, but thought of what names would be nice. "I was thinking, Skywalker for the male and Nightgaze for the female." I said, thinking of good names.

I licked her. "Those are perfect names."

I smiled warmly, and licked him back. "I'm happy we have them." I said, and playfully pinned Ridge to the ground, giving him a arche on my eyebrow. If I had one.

(LOL The last part made me laugh so hard! xD)

He shoved her off gently as the pups began to whine. "You can't do that anymore," he scolded gently. "The pups need nursing."

I snorted softly, and laid down for the pups to nurse. While they suckled, I breathed softly watching them. "Ridge. Sorry for snapping." I said, my emerald oebs beaming.

He smiled at her gently. "It's alright. I'm sorry too." He stood up. "I'd better go mark the territory..." he fluffed out his fur. "I don't want any loners or rogues wandering around."

"Alright, Ridge. Be back if I call this time." I said, with a cocky snort and soon groomed the pups.

Ridge trotted off, flicking his tail.

(Eh, sure.)

I watched Ridge pad off, and sighed, watching the pups suckle.

Ridge returned from hunting, carrying a buck. He dropped it at the entrance and called, "Starlight! Pups! The food is here!"

My head immediately popped up, and I carried Skywalker and Nightgaze before eating. The pups continued to suckle as I ate, and I soon stopped eating.

Ridge ate slowly. "We can probably store it," he said. "Winter is coming soon... when do you think the pups can eat meat?" he added, with a worried glance at his suckling pups.

"Probably in a few weeks." I replied, and curled my tail around the pups.

Ridge let out an distressed growl. "I hope they'll survived," he growled. "I don't want them to die." He dragged the buck into the middle of the den where it wouldn't rot. It was not so cold, not so hot there. "Come on, Starlight," he called. "It'll be cold soon. You need to rest."

I nodded, and yawned tiredly before padding over and laying down next to Ridge and the puppies.

Ridge kept watch, his ears pricked as he lay at the mouth of the den. No wolf was getting in.

Soon I fell asleep slowly. Waking up in the morning, I yawned them groomed the pups. "Ridge?" I called.

Ridge had fallen asleep at his post. He woke up though, when he heard Starlight calling for him. "Yes?" he called.

"Oh, your here. Good." I said, relieved Ridge hasen't disappeared.

Ridge stretched. "Are you hungry?" he asked.

"Starving." I replied.

He tore a leg off of the buck and tossed it to him. "Eat up," he said. "I'll go and remark the borders later."
