Lost or Deserted?Faith the Foal

I come in, exploring this strange place once again, and see another horse lying down on the mossy ground. I did it! I found another horse! A foal, in fact. Just like myself! I'm running to him, excited and ready to play.

Sailor's Dream trots in, hearing that a young motherless foal is starving. She trots over and stands there, waiting in the cool breeze

Faith~

I stand up hearing a horse come into the clearing.I stumble up to her.My legs gave way,I collapsed.

Solar beam- I enter the feild and spot a mare and two foals. Either one does not look a thing like the mare so i assumed they werent related. I snort and walk closer, Sky light drifting to and fro from my side. I look at the mare and then at teh foal on the ground. My eyes grow soft and smile down to the weak filly. Sky had spotted the other foal and dashed off to play wit him. "Hello young one.." Isay to her, bend down to nuzzle her nose. We exchange scents. She looked to weak and feble, like she had been alone for an unreasonable amount of time.

Faith~

I lift my head slightly off the ground.My eyelids felt as they weighed 100 pounds.I opened them,but still it was no use.I struggle trying to get o my feet.All of the unfamilar scents had scared me.

Solar Beam- I smile kindly as she struggles to stand. I want to help her, but i dont want to feel like im suffocating her. "Can you speak enough to tell me your name?"

Faith~

She spoke softy"Faith"She collapsed to the ground and squealed,banging her head.

I sucked in a breatha as she fell and hit her head. I lowered my head and tried to urge her to stand. "Here, i have milk" I said nuzzleing her head tenderly.

Faith~

I sucked in a deep breath through my nostrils.I manged to get up on my knee.I knew I couldn`t stand.I crawled slowly and cautiously toward the mare.I raised my head.I started to suck the milk.I started to slurp faster and faster.Finally I was full.Milk dripped from my muzzle.Now I was sleepy but I wanted to stand.I pushed up my rear end with my hind legs.I took another deep raspy breath and stood up.I just stood there for a moment stretching my legs and neck.

Solar Beam- i smiled and licked her clean as she drank. I ahd plently of milk to supply since my colt needed i too. "why dont you sleep Faith, we can talk when you are rested." I lie down in the grass and try to comfort her into laying near me. I wanted to protect her.

Faith~

Slowly my knees buckle and a lay next to the mare.I lightly rest my head on the mares back.I close my eyes and let out a sigh of contentment.I drift off into sleep land.

I smile. i gently nuzzle her neck in a motherly way. I nicker to Sky and tell him to lie down and rest. He had been walking all day and i knew he was tired.

Sky-I trotted to my mother and lie down by her side. I spotted the tiny foal and sniffered her curiously. I looked up at my mom and then shrugged, falling into a deep slumber.

Faith~

When I awoke,my body was lathered in a cold sweat.I shivered and opened my eyes.I nudged Solar Beam`s front leg,asking for milk.

I opened my eyes swiftly and felt Faith's nudging agasint my leg. I slowly stood up and did it with out moving Sky. i shook my mane and stood perfectly still.

Faith~

I thrust my muzzle up under her front leg and searched for the teat.I squealed in frustration.My eyes were blue as the sky.But I couldnt use them.

I chuckle and use my muzzle to guide her to my back legs and show where they are.

Faith~

With Solar Beam`s help I find it and began to suckle furiously.I sluped till I could slurp no more.I wwinnied shrillly and walked over to Sky.I nudged him with great force.

I chuckle at Faith and i start to graze.

Sky- I wake up to a powerful blow to my side. Its Faith. I stand up wobbely and stare at her. I whinnie a high pitched nicker and i bump her shoulder with my nose.

I almost tip over,but I regain my footing.I blew air in his face through my nostrils.It blew his forelock out of place.The milk made me feel good.I pranced,lifting my hooves up high.

Sky- I sqweal and shake my forlock back into place. I prance after her, my eyes shinning. I lifted my legs up high too, my back legs touched my white belly.

I stop suddenly and face him.My front legs were spread wide apart.I tossed my head around wildly,challenging him to a race.

I skid to a stop and face her. I rear up slightly, taking her challenge. I get ready to go, my forlegs out and my head ducked low.

I take a deep breath.I pointed to the pond with my muzzle.We would race to there.I begin to run.My legs stretched out before me,carrying me faster than I expected they would.

I bolted after her, my mustang energy kicking in. I was nose to nose with as we neared the pond. I was anice colt, so i slowed just a little bit and let her win.
