Breaking Free

I shrugged. "My parents were teens who walked out the day I was born, maybe even before. I died when a few neurotic terrorists decided to bomb a WalMart. I mean seriously, why WalMart?" I ask, rolling my eyes.

"Nice. Wanna hotdog?" I asked, holding out a hotdog I found in my coat. It wasn't nasty. Yet.

I smirked. "You hold interesting things on hand," I said, taking it. "Do I even wanna know?"

"Probably not. It's not gross, I promise." I said, grabbing one for myself.

I smirk. "I'll just take your word for it, I guess," I say, taking a bite. It actually wasn't that bad.

"Good?" I asked, taking a bite. I spread my wings and flew towards a tree, landing in the uppermost branches. "Come." I gestured toward the tree.

"Well, it's not terrible," I said. I watch her fly up into the trees and extend my wings to follow her, rising up into the air effortlessly, gliding over to her. Just above the tree, I fold in my wings and drop, landing smoothly on a branch a couple higher than her own.

"Nuh uh. You can't be higher up than me." I pretended to pout and flew up to the very top. "Yes! I'm taller than you!"

I chuckled softly. "Touchy touchy," I said, rolling my eyes and smirking. Jumping out from the tree, I spread my wings again, shoving the rest of the hotdog into my mouth and flying up above the tree, smirking. "Nuh uh, I think I'm taller now," I said, grinning.

I jumped off the tree and flew up a foot higher than him. I grinned. "No you're not."

I laughed lightly. "You really wanna start this?" I ask, shooting up effortlessly into the sky.

"Yeah." I said as I darted upwards. I grabbed his foot and dragged him down a few feet. I grinned at him, then darted upwards.

I scolwed playfully, leaping up some more in the air, only this time not stopping as my strong wings propelled me upward.

I grabbed his foot again, this time only dragging him down to my level, and not going higher than him. I grabbed a water bottle filled with blood out of my jacket. "S'cuse me but I need to find some wine. I'll be right back." I said to Fang as I flew off and came back a few minutes later with a bottle of white zinfandel. I poured blood into the wine, turning it red. I took a drink. "Yum." I said. "Wanna try it?"

I smirked. "I already have, just not with that specific brand of wine," I said, grinning as I nodded slightly.

I handed him the bottle and watched him take a drink. "Good?" I asked, taking the bottle back and getting another drink.

I smirk, taking a drink. "Yep, it tastes better with that brand," I say, popping the 'p'.

I grabbed the bottle of blood and took a drink from that. "Yum." I half-closed my eyes. "That is sooo good." I grinned. "Grossed out?"

I rolled my eyes, crossing my arm's over my chest. "Of course not," I say calmly.

"You a bloodsucker too?" I asked. I stopped moving my wings and I plummeted to the ground.

I rolled my eyes again, sighing exasperatedly. "That's what the fangs are for," I said. Watching her dive, I tucked in my wings, dropping headfirst after her. About ten feet from teh ground I flared my wings, pulling myself up and landing gently on my feet.

I stumbled as I hit the ground, shaking my head. "Whew. I really need to work on my landings." I muttered. "We should go do something." I said.

I chuckled softly, looking at her. "Anything in mind? In case you didn't see when you were attempting to kill yourself, there's a town about thirty miles thataway," I said, pointing to the south.

"Oh. I did not. Let's go there." I said, taking another drink of the blood spiked wine.

I smirk, spreading my wings and lifting up into the air, crossing my arms and hovering there, waiting.
