Breaking Free

"Well let's go." I shook my head to clear the grogginess.

I rolled my eyes, smirking slightly as I watched her still on the ground. "Alright then," I say, pushing my wings downward and lifting higher up into the air, angling to the south where the town was.

I lifted off the ground and looked at him.

Downstroking powerfully with my wings, I propel myself strongly forward, loving the feeling of the wind through my feathers and wings. After a few minutes of flying I land in the woods just outside of the town, waiting for her.

I followed him, still holding my wine bottle. I landed next to him and stumbled a little as I touched down. "Holy crap. I really need to work on my landings." I gave him a lopsided grin. "Come on." I said to him. "I need food." I walked to town, stumbling every once in a while. I only had a little bit of wine. I couldn't have been drunk.

I chuckled gently, following her. "Wow, you get drunk easily when you mix some blood in," I tease gently, folding my wings close to my back.

"Hey." I frowned at him and then burst into laughter. I did get drunk easily when there was blood involved. "I need some rum." I announced.

I smirk. "Then let's find a bar," I say, moving towards the town and out of the trees.

"I think rum is the only way to get un-drunk from this." I grinned.

I grin back, ignoring all the people as if they weren't there. Finally finding a half-filled bar, I make my way to the counter at the end, where the shadows were.

I followed him to the end of the bar, trying to ignore the stares. I glared at a particularly nosy couple who were leaning around the table trying to see me better. I bared my fangs at them and they flinched back.

Watching her I laughed, ordering a bottle of Scotch. I turn slightly on the stool, looking at her. "Humans scare easily," I say nonchalantly, taking a drink as the man sat the bottle down.

"Yup. Uh can I get a bottle of cherry rum please?" I told the man behind the counter. He set the bottle down and I grabbed it and took a drink. "Yum." I grinned. "It's getting better." I told Fang.

I smirked. "I guess that can be a good thing," I say casually, taking another drink.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

I smirk. "It means that you're funny when you're drunk," I say with a grin.

"Thanks." I grinned at him, my wings shifting behind me. "We should do something. I don't really care what, just anything."
